Please read from the bottom first. I would had given more stars if it was done in a timely matter and the first time. I took my car back to the Hyman service dept. in October 2023. I arranged with Tim Tharpe at the Collision dept. They adjusted the placement of the sensors. I am satisfied that it is correctly repaired. My car was hit in Jan. 2023, appointment with Hyman in April 2023, I was satisfied in Nov. 2023.Hyman responded to my email and said they would make it right. I will update if this happens. I have been promised it will happen the end of October 2023. I picked up my car after 8 weeks for a dent in the rear driver fender. It was filthy and gritty when I picked it up and the green dashboard headlight display does not work.I am adding that the warning sensor they replaced does not work correctly. I took it back and they callibrated it but it still beeps when there is nothing there! In the photo the left rear sensor is beeping telling me I am close to an object when there is nothing there. The sensors are totally useless now.

Great service from the Nissan parts counter. Somehow the top brake caliper bracket bolt had come loose and was missing so the whole brake assembly had shifted forward and was rubbing the inside of the wheel . Called at 5:30, they closed at 6:00. Was able to get the bolt and washer ($4) to fix it. Very grateful they had the correct bolt and it was an easy fix.

I cannot recommend having a car serviced here. Communication was nonexistent and we had to continuously call for updates that ended up being inaccurate. It took over a month to get my car back. When it was finally done, one major item they said they had been waiting on was not even completed and I now have to use two separate keys to unlock my car and drive my car. Overall, this was not a great experience following an already unfortunate encounter with car vandalism.

Brought car here after window was shattered and ignition broken in attempted theft, 4 consecutive weeks of them promising my car would be ready next week, only for the date to come and pass without any updates. I would call several days after every single previous promised "ready by date" only to be told they actually didn't have the parts and wouldn't until next week. I understand sometimes you do not know when a part will arrive, so the normal response is to disclose you do not have an ETA, not make one up. Finally, after they finally did get all the parts in, they used the wrong part so now I need a different key to start my car than I do to unlock the doors. They said they would fix this but when I went to pickup my car...it still had not been done. All around it seems like the communication between the Kia service side and the collision center is terrible and rather than having one coherent system for them to track repairs it is functionally a completely separate business that doesn't share notes/updates or general information with each other. I found the front office staff to be very helpful, and they would follow up and call me back when they promised, as well as share as accurate information as possible with me however it seems like they can only do so much when everyone else leaves a lot to be desired.

While no one looks forward to going to a collision center and body shop, the pain is greatly lessened when you know that you are going to the BEST . . . and that is just what Hyman Brothers Collision Center and Body Shop is! From the time you are greeted upon arrival to the time you return to pick up your vehicle, you are treated very courteously by everyone you encounter. Repairs are reasonably priced (FAR BETTER than a nearby competitor a few blocks away) and are performed in a timely manner. On three visits, I have consistently received excellent service. While I hope not to return anytime soon, I am very glad to know that they are there when I need them. I highly recommend Hyman Brothers!P.S. I doubt you will find more skilled repairmen and painters anywhere in Richmond!Services: Painting, Body & Trim

I've been coming to the service department since 2016. Usually I don't wait too long for an oil change, but yesterday did take a while. I mean like cutting it close to 2 hours. Well, it was mid day on a Saturday too. The mechanic did vacuum my floors which are so clean. Thank you!

really satisfied with the professionalism... i was updated weekly on the status of the repair on my wife's car. promised in 2 weeks and they delivered. The Service Department is top-notch. The advisors, technicians, and office staff are all courteous and professional. I've taken my vehicle there since 2016 and have been completely satisfied.

I called to schedule an estimate for a repair. They seemed eager to help me until I said that I was not using my insurance company for the repair. The lady then seemed not interested and said that they were booked out for months. I guess they only want to gouge customers and their insurance companies.

UPDATED: Everything really did go wrong from the get-go (you can read below for the whole story to see why I originally gave them 1 star) but Tim, the manager, worked hard to do what he could to make it right for me. I will take responsibility for not speaking up sooner with my complaints because Tim handled them as soon as I talked to him, I just should not have waited as long as I did to talk to the manager. They did good work. It just took a REALLY long time. But they clearly care about their customers and compared to other body shops in the area, they're good. Just slow.Everything about this has been horrible. When I went to get the estimate I had an appointment. I pulled up and a guy came up to me. He told me to leave my key in the ignition and he would show me where to go. He never asked my name. I was so confused. I sat there for over an hour before I started looking. No one even knew where my car was and the guy had taken me to the wrong place. The estimate was missing 2 important things that my insurance adjustor told me would drive up the cost. Then the icing on the cake... Actually, I could have let everything else go except Tim (the manager) told me that the estimate was for a 5 day repair but he didn't think it would take that long. Again, I had an appointment for the repair. I dropped my car off on a Monday afternoon and heard nothing. The following Monday I called. The lady that answered the phone said she'd have to get back to me. When all was said and done, they had my car for 9 business days (not counting the Monday I dropped it off or the Sunday that they were closed in the middle). NINE days for what was supposed to take "less than" five. It was a scratched and dented corner panel that didn't even need replaced. I didn't need any parts. It just took forever and cost more than was expected (of course). PS - In the end it was actually 11 days.

Horrible experience.7 weeks for an estimated 6 day repair.No follow up communications from staff. Indifference as to any customer service.Vehicle NOT correctly fixed after 4 supplemental insurance requests.HYMAN should be publicly shamed.If it is not to late...DONOT take or request repairs there.PM me as I got all documentation.They get a 1 rating only because they returned ONE call.

Extremely disappointed with the service from the collision center. We needed a mirror and small window replacement, and possible interior damage to the front door (same door as the mirror/glass). Our car was in the shop for over two weeks. After a week of it being in the shop, it wasn't done. Each time, thereafter, I called to check on the progress, I was told it be ready in two days and they'd call me. The person answering the phone was not very polite or helpful. After more than two weeks, when I finally received my car, there was still shards of glass in the front seat, floor, and between the seat and console, and loose razor blades in the back (I'm not sure what these were used for). I'm still finding shards of glass, unfortunately usually by sitting or having rubbed my hand across the seat or my bare foot in the floor. I do not recommend getting service here.

Sheldon took care of our car pretty well, as long as it was under or insurance's dime. When we got our car back after some rear damage work, the rear bumper was loose and dented from installation. Now they won't return our calls and don't seem at all interested in correcting their installation work. Not likely to return for anything at this shop under these circumstances.Service: Body & Trim

Unfortunately I have had to have collision work done to the same area of my vehicle twice. The first time albeit non pandemic time was great, the second time has been dreadful. There continues to be issues with the car, parts were left loose, when I opened my door screws fell out, it's running noisily, engine light back on, there was a screaming eagle sou d coming from the car: so embarrassing . Any who, the car has to go back a 4th time as there is a whistle noise coming from underneath somewhere.

I took my car to Hyman Brothers Collision because Hyman Brothers has a Kia dealership which is where I thought I was going. I would give the repair a 4-star only because 3 days turned into more than a week. I took the car in on the 8th; my appointment was actually on the 11th. It was supposed to take 3 days. When I didn t hear from Hyman Bros on 14th, I called and was told it would be ready by the 16th. When I didn t get a call by 12noon on the 16th, I went to the facility; no one was there when I got there at 1pm.I was escorted by one of the workers to the parking area where my car was and looked inside and at the bumper. The work was sufficient from what I could see. I was told all it needed was to be cleaned, probably be ready by 18th. I called 18th, car wasn t ready; they still needed to service it, I was told, and cleaned. I finally got it on the 20th. This is why the work done by Hyman Brothers would have gotten a 4-star instead of a 5-star.However, I can only give a 1-star because I was totally VIOLATED!!!If I went in for a bumper replacement and wheel alignment, why was there a need to go under my front seats and take everything from under and leave just the papers in the seat, or go in my center console, and my glove compartment?????EVERY THING THAT WAS NOT NAILED DOWN WAS STOLEN!!!!!When I checked my car on that Saturday, when it was supposed to be finished, I looked inside the car and everything was untouched when it was in the parking lot awaiting cleaning and servicing. I am guessing the thievery did not happen during the collision portion.Someone stole my Lyft Amp that I need for work, my travel diabetic testing kit, my key for my vehicle I have in storage which I cannot get into now until I pay for a locksmith to unlock the door as well as change all the door locks and ignition.They even stole my 14 of my 15 carwash tokens (who does that) my hand vacuum, my emergency gas card, my ezpass box among other things. (I pray they use the box so they can be tracked I will be happy to press charges)Like I said if it wasn t nailed down, it was stolen!!!!!!I would NOT EVER EVER EVER use this company again. I should have taken it to Whitten Brothers but I wanted Kia parts on the car...STILL FEELING TOTALLY VIOLATED!!!DON T DO IT TO YOURSELF .Hyman Brothers Collision should NOT be trusted with your vehicle

I went to check on a new visor for my Murano. Not only did they have the part, but put in on in about 15 minutes even though I got there just before 5pm. They found nothing wrong during my inspection (7/20) and was the only place I could find that would give you an appointment. Other places were show-up early and wait or drop off the day before and maybe they could get to you.

We keep getting told dates for when our car will be done and we keep getting delayed by more days right before they close on the day it was supposed to be done. 3 days in a row of delays.

Took a month for repairs and then had to take it back multiple times. Parts broken that had nothing to do with the repair
