I can't express enough gratitude for the exceptional service provided by John and his team at Precision, Service & Repair (PSR). My 1949 Ford F-6 Hauler was in dire need of attention, and they went above and beyond. Not only did they expertly adjust the brakes and inspect the suspension, but they also took the time to educate me about the hazards posed by my "widow maker" wheels. John tirelessly searched for safe alternatives, exemplifying their commitment to customer safety. Roll your tires on through PSR, and you'll roll out feeling safe, satisfied, and confident in your investment.

Needed the dreaded State Inspection. PSR fit me into their busy schedule and provided great customer service. The facility looks like they have a great sense of pride in what they do.

Simply the best in the state done the impossible for me several times and at extremely reasonable rates. They are busy for good reason, while others misdiagnose and waste time & money these guys get it right the first time and do the job for less. If they were open saturdays I d kiss their feet and pay extra but they get so much done during business hours it makes perfect sense. Wish I could give them 10 stars, their maintenance took my dads last car to 480k, my moms to 350k, and I m at 230k running like new. Some other shops don t even do the oil changes that you pay for, but PSR is honest, talented, and their results speak volumes

John had a full shop one morning when my husband needed assistance with his remote start. When we pulled up I felt bad because he already had a lot going on, but he didn t hesitate to make us feel welcomed and get started right away.We had our two month old baby with us and he opened up his personal office to let her hang out comfortably while we waited. Little things like that mean the most and give you such a family feel. I ve known John for many years, and his excellent customer service had never wavered.

I can t say enough at how awesome John is. He s trustworthy, knowledgeable, and willingly to save you a dime if he can. In todays times that s unheard of. I ve seen John for general maintenance to as far as ordering new rims and tires for my vehicle. I have been going to this shop for the past ten plus years now, and I wouldn t dream of taking my vehicles anywhere else. John and his crew have repaired every vehicle(five vehicles now ranging from 1974-2017) I have owned in one way or another over the years. They re always extremely communicative about repairs that are needed and in every case the work is done in a timely/extremely professional manner. John is definitely a multitalented mechanic and a very trustworthy individual. Took my 1966 mustang to John because of a small transmission leak. He supposedly fixed it by replacing the gasket on transmission pan. Within a week the transmission fluid ran completely out on the ground. I didn t drive the car during that time. Took it back to him and he fixed it again. Mustang sat for a few months and now the transmission fluid ran out again on the ground. When he finally returned my call. He said that it was my fault because cars do that when they are not driven. He said he would try again but I don t trust him It shouldn t take 3 attempts to stop a leak like this. After some discussion he told me take it someone else and hung up on me. I wouldn t trust him with my cars.Services: Transmission, Transmission repair

First off, John and his team are the best, John is a trustworthy guy that will get it done, and done right. My mother needed work done on her on her AC and the brakes. This was an all new experience for with my dad not around . My father passed away about two years ago Now, he was always the mechanic , completing most jobs on his own , with him gone , and myself no access to a shop or tools, I find myself wanting to help but without the means, enter PSR, they not only took care of her car but knocked it all out in a day, ac fixed, brake switch done. We dropped the car off this morning and within a few hours they were done. She is very happy with the service and will be returning to here for any future needs. Way to go PSR you guys rock and made a customer for life!

We took our 1993 Japanese Skyline R33 in for some maintenance work and everything was done more quickly than expected. Service was top notch from start to finish. We will be using PSR again.

John & his team were able to fix an issue on my 98 Cadillac that no one else has been able to fix! The part is no longer made and highly saught after, but he was able to find a similar part and tweak it to make it work!His solution got my check engine, traction control and ABS light off and no codes being reported. Best of all my cruise control works now.A+ Service, and would highly recommend to anyone looking to have work done.

Time and time again PSR has exceeded my expectations. Someone previously mentioned that they treat you like a person vs a number and that could not be more true. They have been excellent with everything from my head gasket blowing to most recently today my car flooding. John and every single employee there always makes sure you are taken care of. I have never boasted about a business to anyone or even bothered with a google review until I started going here.Guys, 5 stars are not nearly enough and I know I say it at least 10 times every time I see y all but..Thank You!!!

We were traveling from Wilmington, NC to Leesburg, VA (on a Friday) for a wedding when our ABS module started going crazy. This sent so many other error messages and the brakes were acting up. Traveling with a wife, babysitter, two kids (under 3) and a dog it was nerve racking. We stopped here and John came right out and diagnosed our issue. He got right to the issue and put everyone at peace. Wish we could move everyone to Wilmington. Best. Place. Ever.Services: Auto maintenance, Auto brake replacement

My wife started taking her car there because the owner, John treats his customers great. She had taken her car to other places and they treated her like a female that knew nothing. Not John. John helps his customers and advises them. She just had him replace a new engine in her 40 year old classic and he did an excellent job. Kudo's to John and his staff.

By far the best shop I've ever been to. John and his staff are complete professionals and they go above and beyond to take care of their customers. As a female, an honest mechanic is absolutely invaluable. I highly recommend PSR to anyone who is looking for a job well done without any skepticism. Thank you John! You guys are the best!

I took my Ford F250 to Precision several months ago because I was having issues with the ignition coils. I was so thankful because they were willing to take my truck in on very short notice and take care of the problem. Keep in mind, this is my work truck so I'm dependant on this thing to run right to make money. My wife drove the truck to them so I could use her vehicle for the day. Well, after several hours of waiting she gives me the call to tell me the issue was resolved. $400 for 20 minutes of work. I figured it would only take an hour since they seemed to be pretty open and willing to take us in. They charged us for the truck sitting in their lot and she said they really weren't busy but whatever, they fixed the problem so I can move forward now. Well about and 3 months later my truck starts acting up again. I took it to a friend who said it was the same problem... ignition coils. Finally I took it to another shop and guess what, they pulled out half broken and heavily damaged spark plugs that the guys at Precision swore they fixed.They cost me to lose money in more ways than one. That's why I'm writing this review. Wish I would have done this long before now but I'm really not one to leave poor reviews but I'm hoping I can save someone else some money and a headache. The guys at Elliott Automotive gave me back the defective plugs that Precision left in there and fixed my truck the right way. Thankfully, the owner of Precision contacted me personally to apologize and agreed to correct the issue which means more to me than anything because it shows they care and appreciate customers.

Absolutely love this mechanic! I have had a few repair jobs done by this business. The wait time is pretty standard. They do comprehensive mechanical and engine work. They are the go to guys if your piston rings need to be changed or you need a engine rebuild.

The best around John will answer any question you have. Him and his team are professional and do great work! Has installed all my automatic starts on all of my vehicles and installed an entertainment system in my truck! Great group of guys I totally recommend!

My car broke down while traveling, and one of the mechanic s, Justin, was extremely helpful and helped me figure out what was going on. Turns out I got some gas with water in it and it was stalling my car out. Justin was knowledgeable and helped me out when I was stranded trying to figure out the problem. Thanks again PSR and Justin. Somebody give that man a raise!

John and his guys at PSR have been nothing but good to me, my family, and everyone I've recommended them too. All of their work has been above what any other shop I've been to has done and they always back it up. They do some great work and I recomend and will keep recommending them to anyone!

Horrible service. John the owner of the shop sold me injectors for my 2002 duramax and told me that all 8 worked fine. He also said if I had any problems with them to let him know. Had a diesel shop install them and one injector went out during testing and he refused to fix it or pay for a new one. He said I got a deal and wouldn t stand behind his word. Then began to say that the shop I had them installed by put them in wrong and it was a wiring problem. They tested each individual injector and found it wasn t a wiring problem but the injector itself.

John Arkenstyn and his staff have helped me out with my vehicles for quite awhile. They are experts at knowing how to take care of many car issues. They were the ONLY ones for miles around Richmond who knew how to work on a lot of my BMW issues. I trust them. John is the kind of person who opens his doors to those without a place to eat for Thanksgiving. That says it all.

I drive a 2000 Blazer with over 223,000 miles. I take my vehicle to PSR for all its maintenance needs. The mechanics at PSR do a great job. I have never felt they were taking advantage of me. They stand by their work, all repairs were done timely, and the prices are reasonable. I highly recommend them to anyone needing anything from oil changes to major repairs.
