I have usually had good experiences at the Hopewell location I used to use. Today was my 1st time at the Mechanicsville location and I was blown away! The service was fast, friendly, and Affordable!! Thanks Guys! I'll definitely be returning now that I live here.

Sam was my advisor when I checked it. He offered me a great offer to check my break pads, holes and fluids. With it being the winter months. It s was a deal and couldn t pass up on. He did great calling and following up on my service as well. My SUV was done within 45 minutes. At check out Chris assisted me. He was very polite and willing to help me save money with a master card. It was a great offer but I had to decline due to timing. Overall, I had a great experience. Thank you!

UPDATE 2.9.24: Wow! Firestone representative has been amazing. They listened to my concerns and reached out to see how they could improve my experience. I am pleased to say they evaluated the situation and looked for ways to help figure out what is happening with my vehicle. I always believe when a company values you as a customer they will do what they can to make things right and in the situation Firestone has delivered. They reached out day one and followed up multiple times to ensure I knew what was happening, and once they determine a resolution, the Store Manager reached out to schedule time for me to bring my vehicle back in. This is what you call Excellent customer service and making the customer feel valued, job well done. I have had a Firestone card for over 20 years, and for the first time through the ups and downs of having my vehicles serviced at Firestone I will say today is my last day. I am so disappointed in the service that was provided 2 weeks ago. Took the car in for one thing which was an oil change and two weeks later dealing with multiple issues that have left the car smoking and the only thing I can get as a resolution is it has over 200,000 miles and it s been leaking oil which even if that s the case never had smoke coming from the hood. I m writing this review because I am dissatisfied and as a loyal customer that have spent countless money with Firestone, I will take my business and my money somewhere else where I feel that I m going to be cared for and my vehicle is going to be in good condition when I drop it off And pick it up. I am paying off my Firestone card and after 20 years closing my account because I will not give my business or my money to a place I no longer trust.

Last time I went to this Firestone customer service was terrible. Definitely was not a welcoming place you d want to take your vehicle.Today was night & day, Chris was attentive and asked the right questions. He made my experience there great. Most shocking was my car was in and out in one hour on a Saturday. Would definitely return as long as Chris is who I deal with. Thank you again for your great customer service!

Called Firestone in Mechanicsville and spoke with Chris! He was awesome from phone conversation up until the time he checked me out after service. He enthusiastically booked me a oil change appointment for same day and service was completed within 1 hour of drop-off. Excellent customer service, professional, personable & friendly! Always a wonderful experience.

I made an appointment online for an oil change and tire rotation. I dropped my car off 1 hour early for the appointment and the person told me they would call me as soon as it was ready. She also told me the price for the services. I hadn't heard anything by 3.30, so called and was told that it hadn't been touched because they thought that I wasn't picking it up until the end of the day, even though I told them I was dropping it off for the 1pm appointment. When I picked it up they had also performed a $22 full inspection that I did not ask for and was not informed of when I was quoted the price of the service. My vehicle was already inspected 1 month ago, so any inspection was unnecessary and just an excuse to jack up the price. I will not be returning.

Customer service at the Mechanicsville location is the absolute best! Me and my family had a bad experience with an Enterprise rental having an exhaust leak. I called not a 1/2 day in advance and Sam was kind enough to take the car in even though they had a full schedule with the holidays. It was an absolute pleasure to deal with Sam and with Kevin diagnosing and fixing our problem in less time than they quoted was top notch! I cannot say enough about how grateful we are for the entire staff and their hospitality. To whom it may concern at Firestone; these are the friendliest, professional and caring customer service representatives I have come across in my own 30 yrs of customer service work. Please treat them as such as they are what makes your company great. They are the best asset you have and should model the rest of your employees to be.Sincerely,JE

From personal experience, they aren't horrible. They will upsell you. They will align your vehicle without asking. They will lie to save face when a tech breaks something. Brake rotors have a 600% markup. But they do smile when they greet you, so that's nice.

Horrible customer service. As a business you can t confirm an appointment with a customer and then just change it to a different time without reaching out to the customer to make sure that works for them. And then on top of that not even stick to the new time you changed it to. Made appointment for tire change for 8 am. Then I got an email with the title appointment confirmed I did not open the email because I thought my appointment was confirmed. I showed up just before 8 am and they had moved my appointment to 10am because as the manager said he didn t know what I needed done even though it said right on his computer tire change. So whatever I said 10 am would be fine. Here comes 11am and they still had not gotten to my car and it would take another 45 minutes. I asked why they didn t call when they felt the need to change my appointment and they said they did call when they did not. And when I told them they didn t call my number because I have no missed call or voicemail the manager said oh well I didn t call but somebody here did. And he told me that they sent an email confirming 10am appointment. I don t know who they confirmed it with because I didn t confirm anything but 8am until I showed up and they told me it was now for 10.

Took car in to be diagnosed. It never was. They only changed the oil but charged me for both. I came in next day and complained cause issue is not fixed I brought car in for. I was refunded the diagnostic charge as they found out it was not done. These associates were helpful in this - only positive part of my experience. I took my car to another shop that agreed with me that the issue was my crankshaft position sensor when I explained what was happening. Firestone thought I was crazy and rudely asked how I thought that was it. It s called GOOGLE! Just because I am a female does NOT mean I m ignorant, because that is exactly how I was treated. Y all were out to scam me so I d have to pay more than just fix what I told you I thought was the problem. You should have diagnosed it to confirm but you didn t do that either. I will never take my car back to Firestone due to the incompetence of my cars issue when another auto repair shop immediately agreed with me on the possible cause. It s an obvious electronic issue that an oil change only can t cure. But y'all thought my only issue was the oil being overdue.

I have had reservations at Firestone quite a few times and have never been taken on time and it always took longer than they promised. This time was perfect, they took me on time and I actually got out of there a few minutes earlier than expected. Keep up the great work!

Let me preface this review by stating that I have an Associate Degree in Automotive Technology and worked as a mechanic in the service department of a dealership before retiring. Therefore, I know something about vehicles. We have a 2006 Ford Ranger 4x4 that failed inspection at a locally owned garage in Mechanicsville, VA. The lower control arms needed replacing and I wasn't able to perform the work without a lift. The estimate from the garage seemed high so we went to the Mechanicsville, VA Firestone. The service advisor asked us if the truck has a coil spring suspension or a torsion bar suspension. I told him torsion bar and he quoted an acceptable price. We made an appointment to have the work performed including a free brake inspection and tire rotation. We also requested the work be completed by noon, if possible. We dropped off the truck the prior evening expecting to have the work completed the next morning. Unfortunately, it wasn't ready until two hours before Firestone closed. So, it appears that making a prior appointment gained us nothing in terms of timely service! The following day I looked under the truck and to my dismay, the mechanic had replaced only the ball joints, not the entire control arm assemblies. Granted, the ball joints needed to be replaced but the truck failed inspection for worn out control arms. I also determined that a tire rotation had not been performed because I marked the wheels, and they were in their same positions. As for the free brake inspection, I doubt that it was done because we did not receive a condition report, orally or in writing. We took the truck back to Firestone a few days later for the tire rotation that we previously paid for. When I questioned a different service advisor about the control arm issue, he stated that they could not find the control arms in any parts stores, so they replaced just the ball joints. I don't believe this because the local Advance Auto Parts has the control arms in stock. After more dialogue with the service advisor, he then stated that Firestone can't replace the lower control arms on a torsion bar Ford Ranger because it requires a "special" tool that Firestone doesn't have. I don't believe this either because, if true, Firestone has lost a lot of business over the years because they don't have that tool. So, which is it? Was the work not performed because of a lack of parts or lack of a special tool...and why would Firestone quote us a price to replace the lower control arms in the first place if they don't do that kind of work?We ended up cancelling the tire rotation on the spot and received a refund. I'll do it at home. We are one and done with the Mechanicsville Firestone!

Needed an alignment before making trip back to Ohio and had just done some front end work. Couldn't get anyone else to do it when i needed it, other than this firestone. Great people. Thank you very much.

I was able to leave my vehicle and have the work done, along with a comprehensive check of other items and provided with appropriate feedback. This Firestone location is less than a mile from my home, so it is also very covenient.

Worst thing I've ever done was buy my tires at Firestone. The tires themselves are fine. But i can never get them rotated and balanced because they can do them.

I have always gotten excellent customer service from Firestone. I have followed one of the managers through 3 different Firestone locations Compass Point, Mechanicsville Trnpk near Laburnum and in the West End near Innsbrook, it seems that he manages to put together a good team wherever he goes.

Very thorough service, honest information about what needed to be fixed immediately and what could wait. Offered some creative ways for me to save money on the final bill. They are VERY busy, however, and I'm not sure how they prioritize repairs as they had my car for 3 full days and didn't even know exactly what was wrong with it until towards the end of day 2 - but they do stay late to finish once they start, which i appreciated greatly.

These guys/girls/team are awesome. My Truck can be a little more challenging than most and they still powered through and took care of it. I used to be a Merchants guy. No longer.

This place is terrible! Make sure to read the reviews which I did, but still gave it a try since I only need a simple oil change and tire rotation. First I dropped off my vehicle 7am on the dot, I did not have an appt but I was willing to leave my car. Easy to say the agent took me in and go about all the details and offer all the nine yards with what they can offer, he was very professional and accommodating. I asked him will it be done by the day and said yes, it should take about 4-5 hours. I ask what time do they close and said 7pm. So, I left my car then I called back around 3pm (after 8hours!) but I was told they are running behind, but it should be done before 5 or even before they close. Ok, I said just give me call once it's done. So about 6:30 I decided to call again, since I haven't heard anything, a different receptionist answered my call. She was not very pleased to deal with compared to the morning guy, she was very rude and no professionalism at all. I told her, you had my car for almost 12 hours and now your gonna tell me that they haven't started working on my car and had the nerve to ask me "what do you want me to do, do you still want your car to be work on?" Really omgoodness!!! So I just decided to come and just get my car not getting worked on. I just wasted a full day where I could've get it done somewhere! When I get to the store she just handed me my keys without saying a word or even just a simple apology for what happened, but instead she just said there were 10 cars ahead of me. This place doesn't care if they lost a customer at all! The name of the good rep is AJ and the Bad rep is Sam. Avoid this place at all cost, just remember all I need was simple oil change and a tire rotation and they cannot even meet your needs, what more for some major work for your car. Bad Business!

I've been coming here since they opened. The service has almost always been fast and is always friendly. They helped me find a difficult set of nostalgic wheels for my father's pickup and gave me a fantastic deal on them.

I made an 8am appointment hoping I would get my car back by noon (5 hours seems reasonable right?) I called at 11:30 because I hadn t heard anything from them. The technician that answered put me on hold because they hadn t even taken my car back yet. His excuse was that it was really chaotic in there and that they were working on in person appointments first. That is absolutely ridiculous! What s the point of having an appointment if walk-ins are going to have priority.Service: Brake service & repair

Went in for a general maintenance and to get my driver side window fixed. Didn't get a price quoted when I asked, was told we will know after we check it out. Turns out, just checking the window was $100. Was going to be $400 to fix, I skipped fixing, and am now out over a hundred bucks. Wish they would have told me up front it'd cost that much just to check it out.Final bill for an oil change and checking my window $200.Thanks Firestone,
