I had a brake & wheel bearing overheat on my travel trailer while traveling through the Richmond area to a festival. After calling a few places that couldn't get to it until next week someone recommended Baughan Truck Repair. I was six miles away so I gave them a call. They juggled things around to get me in right away and after a couple of hours I was back on the road. Highly professional, not cheap but reasonable given the circumstances. I see some bad reviews but my experience could not have been better!Service: Brakes

These good reviews have to be fake. They charged me $2400 to install a door I provided!!!!!!I had my truck for a couple months and the back bay door broke and I needed it replaced and a couple other things done. I took my truck here after every other mechanic in the area gave me a hard time for it's size (availability on large bays was low apperently) I needed a basic checkup, brakes, light work (the running light down the sides), some wire work/adjustment and finally, just needed them to install the door that I had bought, cause I didn't want to screw it up.They said they could do it and, after having been through at least a dozen other calls and being told it would take weeks for availability, I took it right over.I told them to take a look and tell me what the estimate was so I could budget and figure out what to do next. Several days later, when they still hadn't called me I reached out. THEY HAD ALREADY STARTED WORK!I should have listened to my gut and got it away from them then but, hey, my loss is your gain. I said, screw it, I'll just bite it cause I need it done.Another week later they told me they were done and I went in to pay, they charged me $2405.00 I don't remember the cents.I told them that seemed extreme and I wanted to negotiate but the owner said no negotiations, the price was the price. After wards I called EVERY OTHER MECHANIC WITHIN 5 MILES with the same list of requests with the vehicle discription and what I needed. None of them qouted more than $1600.00My truck still ran a little rough so I took it to a family mechanic and after taking a look he told me the oil was old, brakes weren't done, and there were several broken bits of the suspension than needed to be replaced that the previous mechanic didn't see.Final point, I took my truck to Baughans for several issues and a door that needed to be put in. They only did the door and charged me more than anyone else in the area would have for the entire list. These folks at Baughan's and crooks and I do not recommend them to anyone.

Our motorhome broke down on Memorial Day and we had to have it towed to Baughans. We had never done business with them before but if needed, we will in the future. They did a great job in a reasonable period of time.

Dropped our RV off around June 20 for diagnostic and repair when it wouldn't start. More than one month later, on July 24, we had to tow our RV to another facility because Baughan threw his hands up and said he couldn't even figure out what the problem was, let alone fix it. We were presented with an $1,197 invoice that we were forced to pay in order to get our RV back. Baughan was difficult to reach, didn't return phone calls, and clearly was in way over his head with our RV. He should have said at the very beginning that he didn't know what he was doing so we could have taken it to an actual repair shop. It would have saved a lot of time and stress - plus we wouldn't have had to cancel our planned RV vacation. Of course that would have meant Baughan wouldn't have been able to extort more than a thousand bucks from us. Stay clear of this place!!!

I literally just called them. I asked what sounded like a older gentleman how long to repair a trailer tire with a nail. This guy says, "awww buddy, not till next week". , I swear you can't make this up.

Took my truck in to have radiator replaced,I took my own new radiator into them, they put it in called me told me I had a bad radiator it was leaking I called the place I got the radiator from they couldn't believe it was bad said they have never had a bad one before, I had theses guys take it back out and return it to where I bought it,radiator shop fixed it the radiator shop called me told me radiator had been hit while being installed was why it was leaking theses guys wouldn't own up to damageing the radiator charged me twice for installing it charged me $2100 for a radiator install that should have been half that I think this was unacceptable for a easy job
