My tire came off the rim in the middle of a windy road, and they were there to help me get an hour and a half home when no one in the area would even pick up. Couldn't ask for more

My vehicle was hit and needed to be in the body shop for repairs. The rental was to be covered by the other driver as the accident was her fault. Enterprise wanted to charge ME a fee and said it was "procedure". I didn't feel it was my responsibility to pay for a rental. Nelson Rental got me in a vehicle and on the road in less than an hour! I gave them the info they needed and I was on the road. The whole experience was easy from start to finish. Nothing complicated and so very easy to work with. I had enough stress dealing with a wrecked vehicle and Nelson Rental made sure I didn't have any stress when it came to a rental!! Thank you so much Nelson Rental for your sincerity and help! If I ever need you again, I will certainly call on you!

Exceptional customer service with a smile. We have worked with Tyler on multiple occasions and each time he went above and beyond to ensure his customers had what they needed. Extremely professional, organized, friendly, and dependable. I can t say that about other Nelson Service departments, but definitely recommend the collision and rental. Very pleased with the repairs and have nothing but compliments regarding the rentals. I appreciated the extra level of care shown when we needed assistance when things happened at the most inconvenient of times.Services: Painting, Body & Trim

I have rented from Nelson s about four times now. Every time I have been more than satisfied. Tyler and Izzy are fantastic to work with and they will work with you. Their rates or the best in town! The cars are always clean and sanitized. I would highly recommend this company to anyone who was in need of a rental. I d give them 10 stars if I could.

I hit a deer on Feb 7th. It took a little longer to get the estimate than I expected. And some delays on the parts (which was no means Nelson's fault). I was extremely pleased with the job they did on repairing my car. They even cleaned the inside of my car.. Everyone I interacted with were always very polite and professional. Amazing customer service! Highly recommend!

The people were nice enough. But I was owed a refund after I dropped the rental off. It took them a full week to refund my money. After I called them a couple times.

Nelson Collision repaired my 2019 Subaru Forester after an accident. Everyone from the receptionists to the technicians was wonderful to work with and communication throughout the process was excellent. The repairs were flawlessly done and they even changed the oil and thoroughly cleaned my car inside and out. Thank you, Nelson Collision!Services: Painting, Body & Trim, Oil change

I rented a car from Nelson collision and it was fine. I have a problem with there other entities. Kia dealer in Bassett. Owed by the same people had to rent a car and keep it for longer than expected because Nelson Kia Dealer did not do there job properly.this is the back story. Nelson s Kia dealership 4730 N Virginia Ave, Bassett, VA 24055Is the worst place to take advantage of good people. I needed a key fob for my Kia van and they ordered it it they did not tell me that it did not come with the key. For a person that knows nothing about cars you would have thought they would have told you this. So I had to have my car towed there and prove it was my vehicle (which was not a problem). Rented a car from them. ( again not a problem). Went to pick up my van and fob without the key that was suppose to be ordered with the fob and no key! (Problem)!!!!! The manager Ed said he would see what he could do. Called me hours later just to tell me it was my fault that I should have ask for both and that they could order the key that comes with the fob for another 100 or so dollars. So I spent 700 dollars there just to get a fob without the key. They took advantage of me and I am sure they have done it to other people as well. I used to have respect for Nelson s companies but they really took it to far this time. So I am spreading the word abou this company so other people know what kind of racket they are running!!!!! So think twice. People are always greedy and trying to take advantage of people. PLEASE SHARE and BEWARE!!!!

Tyler was very helpful with my rental experience! He was very nice and helped get me set up in a Subaru Legacy for my rental car. The car was very nice and clean and drove great! It was very good experience working with them to get a rental car! Will definitely use them in the future!

Brandon took extra care of my really old car when towing it to repair shop. It is an old car and it was stuck in first gear so he couldn't load it like you normally would. He could have taken the shortcut way to load it, but he didn't. It took a lot more time and effort to do it the way he did, but he did not want to mess up the transmission. Definitely recommend!

I rented a 15 passenger van on Sept 15, 2022 ($699 + $150 deposit) to attend my father's homegoing services in Ohio. After stopping to gas up in Charleston WV, the side door wouldn't shut on the van. When we called back to Nelson Rental to report the problem, we were prompted by two different employees (Tyler and Izzy) to try suggested ways of getting the door to latch.They suggested that we push the back, wiggle the latch, lift up on the door, push the door where the two small dents were (please note Izzy had said the door was hit at some point) etc. We quickly came to the conclusion that the door was probably STILL faulty before we were rented the van. In addition to the door, at least one seat belt didn't work (I had to crawl out of the bottom to get out) and one headrest was busted.After about an hour, we were told that a tow truck was going to bring another van (4 hours away) to replace the van. Then we were told the tow company wasn't available and the rental manager(Tyler) was going to bring another van. My nephew had to hold the door shut so we could make it to a hotel. 2 toddlers and 6 adults(1 pregnant) had to wait 4 HOURS in order to get back on the road... did I mention I was going to lay my father to rest? Because the door wouldn't latch one of us had to sit outside in 90 degree weather to keep our luggage from being stolen. When Tyler and another gentleman finally arrived, it was about 930pm. I became very upset and emotional. During exchanged words, the other gentleman admitted that it was not their policy to check the vehicles in between rentals. We loaded the replacement van and proceeded. We did not arrive at our destination until 2am...did I mention I was going to lay my father to rest. The replacement van door could not be shut from the inside! Someone had to get out of the van and slam the door from the outside.Once we returned from our trip, I called because I felt that I needed to be compensated for all of our pain and suffering. I was given a message from Lee Nelson through Scott Norman that they felt I was compensated because they had to travel 4 hours to bring me a (semi-)working van. Wouldn't they have had to travel anyway to pick up their raggedy van? Although Tyler asked for a copy of our hotel bill, I don'teven think we were reimbursed that $109.I last spoke with Tyler the rental manager on Sept 19 saying that he would speak with Mr. Nelson to see if a compromise could be made once Mr. Nelson returned to the office from a Ford conference or trip or something.SignedC.S. I could not be happier with the professionalism and hard work done here. I was completely taken care of the minute I called. Mark does an excellent job letting you know the process and stages your vehicle is in. I know they stay very busy but I was impressed with how Mark followed up with me and took care of my car. Unfortunately I have been there 4 times in less than 2 years, but will never take my car anywhere else. The rental department(Collin) took care of all of my needs as well, he communicated with me well.Service: Painting

Nelson's Collision & Rental Center is the place to go if you need to rent a vehicle. Tyler Gutshall is a awesome person and just an all around great employee. I had to have the car for an extra day and that was no problem at all. Itzel Jiminez checked me in, and in no time had me on my way within 5 minutes. Great service all around. ThanksPatricia Evans

Nelson collision center saved me! I hit a deer, my car sit on the side if the highway for over 24 hrs waiting on a tow truck. After a tow company called me and told me they were on the way in 30 mins, i sit at my vehicle for 4 hours waiting on them to show up(half of this time i had kids in the car).Nelsons happened to drive by me and stopped to check on me. They had my car picked up and on the way to their shop in 30 minutes like they quoted me, while the other tow company still never showed. They have been very prompt and kind. They could have just kept driving to the job they were on but thankfully they stopped to make sure I was ok. Today i am thankful for the people at Nelson!!!

from inquiry to rental/return, tyler was beyond amazing to work with! our car was delivered to the martinsville airport, clean as can be and in great shape. we had no issues with the car. communications was top notch, and i mean top notch. tyler communicated EVERY step of the way, even checking up with us after we picked up the vehicle. who does that? nelson collision and rental center! without a doubt, we would rent from nelson again. thank you, nelson, and especially tyler, for a job well done!

The body work itself was done well, and they did ok on the windshield, but we won t ever use them again. They left the drivers side rubber door seal hanging out, the back hatch seal was completely left off so the first time it rained it leaked and left standing water in the car. They also left black greasy handprints all over the fabric roof, the doors, seats, everywhere. It took hours of scrubbing to get them off and I never was able to get the stains out of the inside roof fabric. There s also scratches, gouges and scuff marks all over the leather handles and the interior trim. I was so incredibly disappointed. My car was only 6 months old when I took it in, and it still looked brand new but after they ruined the interior, it will never be the same. When I complained to the lady at the front and asked if they could fix/ repair the damage, she said there was nothing they could do without charging us extra to replace what was ruined. Disappointment is an absolute understatement. I took my car there to be fixed and they did all the hard stuff but they did not fix the sensor it keeps popping up my function. I took the car back and they was trying to say that somebody has backed into my car, but I clean my car took a black light over and had another professional body person look at my card and they said that there was nobody damage whatsoever. The guy that I deal with is trying to get me to file another claim on my insurance but again nobody has backed into my car moral of the story do not take your car here and expect him to fits everything because it will not happen.

Awesome customer service! I have used the Rental department numerous times and the staff is super friendly and extremely knowledgeable. They go above and beyond in the Rental department to make sure your needs are met and to give you the best service. I highly recommend using the Nelson Rental department for your rental needs.

I would NOT suggest getting a rental car through Nelson Collision & Rental Center. My husband and I rented a vehicle to go on vacation, this was our first time getting a rental and will be our last. Needless to say we had a horrible experience! The car they rented us for $457.00 for one week was in horrible condition on the inside and out. I will include a photo of all the damages my husband and I assessed before even leaving the dealership and unfortunately we found more once we pulled of the lot. The car was not clean on the inside as if someone had just brought it back and we picked it up. We arrived to our destination the car was needing an oil change even though we expressed to them we were going 10hrs away from home. The windshield wipers were not in good condition and we didn't find that out until we were caught in a storm and needed them. You would think for this kind of money they would keep the vehicles they are renting out in better shape for the customers and since the are a collision center maybe fix the damages on their vehicles.?.? Now after having their vehicle returned back for 4 days I was starting to question where my $150 deposit was so I called them to find out and they are now telling me I am NOT being issued my deposit back because they saw ashes in the vehicle!! Really?? We did NOT smoke in the vehicle! Why didn't anyone notify me if their was an issue with the vehicle upon us returning the car?? It's our word against yours so we have no leg to stand on, lesson learned we will NOT make this mistake again and I hope to save others from this as well.

Great, seamless experience. Representatives were patient and polite Rental car was pristine. Deposit refunded in timely manner. Rental prices were hundreds of dollars less than other rental agencies in the area. Will always do business with them.
