Went in for State Inspection - failed per the shop. No problem. However, the service rep, after calling aloud the list of things wrong continued with snide personal remarks stating that it wasn't even worth his time.Failure of inspection is just fine, no problem. However, when the customer brings a vehicle in for inspection and it fails, provide them with the information they need to get it to pass successfully, rather than injecting your personal and derogatory remarks.I came in for an inspection prior and had a good experience, however, after this recent experience I will surely not return or recommend the shop to peers.Very Unprofessional.

I had all 4 of my tires on a 2010 sonata replaced. After the visit, my TPMS light turned on but then would turn off and back on.I brought my vehicle back a month or two after and explained what was going on.All 4 tires turned out to be in spec for PSI.Initially, the tech said there wasn't anything they could find.I then asked if they could plug into the diagnostic connection under the wheel for more data on what was going on. The tech said this would encur a diagnostic fee. I explained that they were the last to work on the tires, and it happened right after the work performed by them.I asked if they could check complimentary, and he said he would talk to his manager. The manager, Chris, had his tech perform the diagnostic, and the result was that the batteries in my sensors were going dying after 14 years. He provided the cost of sensor replacement and told me there would be no charge for the diagnostic. This was amazing customer service and part of what makes this company my go-to for new tires. I will be recommending Virginia Tire & Auto of Bristow to anyone who needs tires and other services.

I have been going to VA Tire & Auto of Bristow for VA emission/inspection and few other stuff since 2016 since I was satisfy with their service. However, in the past few years, their service has been changing and I have became unsatisfied.I have been thinking to replace my car tires and do the alignment. I ordered a set of tires from Costco. I also decided to give the VA Tire and Auto of Bristow another chance for the alignment job. They informed me that they would do alignment check for $77.00 + tax and if alignment is needed, they would reimburse the $77.00 and charge $119.99 + shop supply + tax for the alignment service. I think that is fair.Since Costco told me that they don t have opening for tire installation on their appointment line for another week, but I could do a walk-in,I decided to make an appointment with VA Tire and Auto of Bristow for the alignment early morning then I would go to Costco for tire replacement. I showed up at VA Tire and Auto and waited on their site. They worked on my car for about 45 minutes, and the representative came by and told me that they did the alignment check in one sentence and followed by long explanation of how I should replace my tires and they would give me the alignment for free. Note: they claimed that they had not done the alignment at this point.I proceeded to say that I am on my way to replace my tires after I get out from their site. As soon as I said that, they started to scare me that if I replace the tires after alignment, I would have to re-align the car again (??).I had read the theory of alignment and seen how alignments were done. In fact, I had pondered if I should do a DIY alignment. As far as I understand the alignment process has nothing to do with the tires condition. Furthermore, while many variables could affect car alignment, many sites say that old tire wouldn t affect alignment. It doesn't matter whether you get your alignment before or after having your new tires put on. Most experts agree that the only effect worn tires have on your alignment is a change to the vehicle's ride height which, given today's steering and suspension design, should be negligible. I would agree that driving with the old tires after the alignment could/would experienced as if the car is not aligned because the condition of the old tires, but I m almost certain that if I put brand tires, the car would drive fine.Subsequent to that, I told them that I would get the tires replaced and return for alignment. Then they proceeded stating that if I do that, I would get charged with the alignment check ($77) and the alignment itself ($199.99) (i.e., total of $276 + other fees). At this point, I m realizing that they really were pushing me to buy tires from them. After a few minutes thinking I remember VA Tire and Auto of Bristow guarantees their alignment for 6 months. I then reversed my decision - let them align the car and get my tire replaced. The representative went back and talking to his boss; 5 minutes later he came back stating that my car has been aligned (???). I said how in the world you could do car alignment in 5 minutes. He proceeded saying that he made a mistake my car with another car.It is clear that VA Tire and Auto of Bristow intention was for me to buy tires from them. They would scare' their customers to buy stuff from them. This would be my last time to come to the VA Tire and Auto of Bristow. I gave them the benefit of my doubt and hoping that they would improve, but this is the straw that breaks the camel back for me.

I would give them a zero if I could. After taking it to get an emission check for registration, and allowing them to "make necessary repairs", we had to take it back twice within 24 hours because of botched fixes and less than 36 hours later the car will not start.

We called to ask about getting tires mounted on our vehicle and Juan told my husband that they wouldn't mount them because we didn't buy them directly from them. My husband asked if he knew where we could go that would and Juan hung up on us. We have bought tires from here before and spent a lot of money. Juan's rudeness was completely unnecessary. We will never use this establishment or recommend again. The new Firestone was kind enough to help us so we will use them for future services as instead of va tire.

Juan at VTA Bristow was amazing helping me understand the issues I was having with my car over the phone. I called just before closing and he stayed on the phone with me for 20 minutes, staying late. The problem I was having was covered by warranty so I had to go to the dealership but that conversation with Juan allowed me to tell the dealership about the problem intelligently. I ve been a customer of VTA for nearly 10 years.

Wife and I stopped in today, 11/16/23, and worked with Elijah. We moved from a state which doesn't do mandatory emissions or safety inspections so the whole process is new to us. Elijah welcomed us in and directed us as to where to go. Once back in the waiting area, the wife and I got to chat more with Elijah, Juan and Abram. I recognized Abram from when I did my own car, another awesome experience. After getting a clean bill on emissions and a rejection on safety due to some issues regarding lights, Elijah directed us on how to go about fixing the issues and then returning for the 2nd inspection. Elijah wasn't condescending or over the top, he explained why my wife's car failed and some easy fixes for the headlights (too yellowed / cloudy) and when we returned back inside he tried finding the parts we needed for the fog lights, but said they weren't in stock and that he would call later with a service quote. Maybe 20mins later, Elijah called us with an OTD quote for parts and installation and even called again with a 2nd alternative soluition. While our interaction with Juan and Abram today was more fun and casual, all three made us feel welcome and Elijah went above and beyond to get us taken care of and make sure we understood the whole process. Kudos to the team at this location and kudos to Elijah today for taking care of us, we'll definitely be back! -Ty

Okay, this location is great! The folks here are knowledgeable, professional and friendly. I came in with a flat tire which, I had to replace. However, the price was 150 including labor.. Great deal. Come here if your in Bristow and have car trouble or maintenance needs. The coffee is fresh and hot. Plus free wifi while you wait.

So, I m giving this place 2 stars for various reasons. We just moved here from Georgia and needed some car work. 1 star for great customer service and installing my license plate on the front of my car and not charging me anything, and the 2nd star for great service for emissions and safety inspection on my wife s car. The reasoning behind missing the other stars is the outrageous price they quoted me for my Jeep wrangler work. I needed a new catalytic converter, a crankshaft sensor and a cam shaft sensor installed. In addition, they were charging me additional for the oxygen sensors which would have been installed with the catalytic converter. Makes sense right? The quote I got for these items was $6,300 USD. That s absurd!! I took my Jeep to Gainesville to another reputable company and they did all this for half that at $3,100 USD. I m not exactly sure I can trust this place going forward. The customer service and kindness of these people is top notch, however, they will get you with cost. Do yourself a favor and check elsewhere before giving in to these prices. I ll give them an A+ for service and the front office staff is great.

Attempted to price gouge me and LIED about the condition of my tire!!! Abrahm told me they could not patch the tire to my Chevrolet Tahoe. Before I brought my vehicle in I observed the screw located in the very center of my tire, no where near the outterlining (I am very familiar with this process). My tire is less than a year old and after 45 minutes of waiting Abrahm claimed it was too damaged to be repaired and did not give me any reason that made sense. He was ready to give me a qoute for $594 to put on a brand new tire which did not seem right. I let him know I had a previously used tire I took off in the cab area of my Tahoe and I asked if they could put that on my rim and he said no. So I asked for my keys back and left with the nail still in my tire. I took my vehicle to Old Town Auto of Manassas and they patched my tire with no issues stating it was not damaged severly by the nail. Your business attempted to price gouge me and lied to me about the condition of my tire. I will never come back to your location and I am writing a bad review on Google. I will surely let others know what was attempted. Unfortunately I know naive customers will fall for your dishonest business practices.

What are the odds both my husband and I got nails in our tires the same day? I pulled into VA tire and auto right at 6pm as they locked the doors, but manager Juan came out, assessed my tire health and added air for me to get home safely. It was past closing time but he asked me to return tomorrow and they d take care of both mine and my husband s vehicles. Next day we dropped them off one at a time and had great service again from Juan, Elijah and Sam. My tire was quickly and easily plugged and repaired. Hubs needed a new tire completely and the staff took care of it all with seamless service. Nothing but good things to say about these guys, even on a busy Saturday in the middle of the summer. Great service!

I was a loyal client of VA Tire and Auto for over 18 years. In 2023, they said I needed a list of repairs. I did some of the repairs because they said it was unsafe to travel. I was going to complete the other repairs when I returned the following week. At check out, they changed the prices they quoted (refused to use the coupons or the credit card they started). Then I got the credit card the next week and they refused to honor the discounts on the services they promised. When I tried to show them their mistake and the new credit card, Zach had me wait for the manager for over 2 hours until all the other clients left. Then I was told he did not have time to see me, he told me I could use the credit card for new services. I told him how could I trust him after he changed the quoted prices by not honoring thr discounts he quoted me when I agreed to the sale. I told him to make this right or I would cancel my follow-up appointment. So I took my business to another location. When I went to another mechanic, I found out VA Tire and Auto told me I needed unnecessary repairs on my breaks (new pads and rotors) and engine (full rebuild). The mechanics told me there was nothing wrong with the breaks and I only needed a tune up with new spark plugs. The service has drastically changed with the new owners. I over heard the front desk staff at VATire and Auto tell another client that she had to get the same repairs on her car that I needed word for word. She said but it was fine 6 months ago are you sure? I am skeptical because it was the same scare tactics they used on my service.VA Tire and Auto told my sister that she needed new breaks(she only needed break fluid topped off). I am disappointed by the dishonesty, scare tactics, and taking advantage of the loyal clients. Never ever going back.

Had 3 dashboard lights on saying there was problems with the engine, asked them to take a look and see what the problem was, got the car back and the note said the mechanic had no idea what to do, he saw lights on but didn t know what to look at, they didn t do anything, didn t even run codes, just complained that it was low on gas, then charged me $178 for the whole experience Went to autozone and had them check the codes, fix was as easy as switching out the igniters and spark plugs, never needed to waste my time at this shop in the first place, I d say just don t go here if you have the choice, they have disappointed me many times

Stay away from this place. I changed my tire on 9/6 in the afternoon, after driving it home and parked in the driveway the tire got flat on 9/8 in the morning. I called and explained the issue and they told me to bring back and it will be replaced for free since I have purchased protection. The manager Sam and the employees Elijah, abram, and the other associates have zero customer service. After they sold me a diffective tire they said I have a puncture to the new tire which happens to be in the same rear passenger side. Now after they changed my tire, they made me to pay for another protection plane which does not make sense. They claim they do road side assistance but I have to speak to the manager to sort that out which I am not hoping to get my reimbursement from this experience. 100% customer satisfaction is so much false. Right now my total cost getting to close to 500 for a single tire. Stay away as much as you can. I could give zero for the sat if there Emma s an option

Our scheduled oil change took a reasonable amount time. Abram was very friendly and helpful. I appreciated that he presented the list of recommended additional services without being pushy about any of it! But Fredis and the other person staffing the front desk were borderline rude. They both seems bored and annoyed to be there. You don't have to love your job, but maybe don't make customers feel like they're inconveniencing you by being there.

I went to get new tires. I had an appointment for 10am and they said it would take 1-1.5 hours. It took 2.5 hours. They told my husband there was a $60 rebate on the tires he purchased, you go online and there is a huge logo at the top of the website that says the promotion ended 2 months ago.Elijah was very kind and supportive. Juan was trying to help me, but couldn t because there wasn t a manager there. I was supposed to be called by the manager the following day, but nothing. They got my money and had zero desire to follow up.

Took my Jeep there to get aligned last week and they left my tie rod and drag link extremely loose. I also found some screws that were loose on one of the parts of the tie rod.If you have a lifted or modified car, take it to a place where they know what they re doing. Not here.

I made a 12:30 appointment to have brakes and rotors completed after having an estimate at the same shop a week prior. I get to the shop on time and the guy at the desk tells me who told you you need breaks? I said it was written up in my report a week ago and I made the appointment today ahead of time for the work to be done but they insisted on trying to charge me 39.99 for a new break inspection. I also was told that the work may carry over into the next day because they have a lot of big jobs. Moral of the story is this shop will waste your time and money. Go elsewhere to a place that can let alone manage how to schedule clients and not try to squeeze each customer.

I wish we had other places to take our cars. They are always incredibly busy. An oil change for which I had an appointment for at 9::30 am wasn't ready until 5. Actually, it might have been ready earlier but the guy on the phone said he was too busy to call me! Honestly!!! With them closing at 6pm, I almost lost out on my car for the evening because they couldn't let me know when it was ready! They did the complimentary check and of course found over 1300 worth of 'needs taken care of' items. When I took it to the dealer for a recall piece, they did the same check and agreed on the brakes were starting to wear but didn't need done right now. We've been going to VA Tire and auto for over 10 years. Started in Gainesville and hoped this newer location would be better, but it isn't. You're lucky if you can even park here. Expect to go to the Wawa and walk over. The oil change was an oil change but given the length of time and poor service(I also couldn't drop it and run. The line was long and the counter was sloooooow), I'll pay 20 more and go to my dealer.

You pay a premium here. The customer service is hit and miss. Sometimes I get excellent service and sometimes it's ho-hum.I dont like the predatory feel here though. Go in for pollution and safety inspection and they don't want to price new tires until the inspection is complete. That's shady. It's a tire place. Just price me the darn tires!

Buyer beware. I will never step foot in a VA tire and auto again and neither should you. Charged me $460 for 20 lug nuts and said my originals could not be reused, so I had no choice. They said it was vendor mark up and it included installation. These cost $80 at best. I was buying 4 tires and already paying for installation, so why do they charge again to have the lug nuts installed. It s extortion. Took 5 hrs for a safety inspection, oil change, and install 4 tires.I was a repeat customer with 4 vehicles. Never again.

No nonsense, can often have a bit of a wait even with an appointment, but their prices are good, staff is friendly, and waiting area is nice
