I took the chance on this shop after a recommendation from another Alfa owner, I scheduled an appointment and drive down from DC to get my QV in to get lowered with the GTAm suspension. Customer service was great and I felt they took good care of my car. Very precessional, the car was supposed to be done in one day so I hung around in Manassas to get the car at the end of the day. However there was a big miscommunication which left me having to get the car the following day. This was a huge inconvenience and I was pretty upset at the time. I do understand mistakes happen and the team did the best they could to take care of the situation and have the car ready the following day. I would go back and plan to go back for work in the future due to how they correct the mistake. I do not recommend hanging around in Manassas while your car is getting worked on. There is absolutely nothing to do in the area. The car looks and handles so much better now.

I want to thank the P-Tuning family for making my GS300 stance looking right! Cory definitely went out of his way to help me and I truly appreciate him. You all have a wonderful colleague who truly cares about his customers and that is very hard to find.

Cory and company helped me install my EMD springs on my BMW M4, and not only did they do an amazing job, but they also work with me doing a custom alignment of the wheels. Will definitely come back for more mods!

Without hesitation they took my r32 in once I received it from the importer. Did a fantastic job on suggesting what I should do for the current power goal I was chasing and why I should do it. Tom at P Tuning is a great person to deal with. They had my car little longer than predicted by like 2 weeks but nothing that was their fault. The tune is solid at 360 whp and the part installation are clean work. Once I picked up my car they were even nice enough to give me a tour of the shop and show me what all they are working on. Great service and great work and I will be back. Good job guys!

Simply put, P Tuning is hands down one of the best Automotive repair and tuning shop in the country. They do it all at a very high level, from alignment, parts install, Dyno tuning, just to name aome of their services.They are extremely knowledgeable, professional and friendly. Every one of my experience with these guys has been positive, their workmanship is top notch. This business is run like a well oiled machine. Their prices are reasonable, you never have a feeling like you are getting ripped off or selling you something you do not need. If you have a performance car and need some Modifications done the right way, you owe it to yourself to pay them a vist or give them a call , my sales advisor has been Nate and he is totally awesome and knowledge. Corey is awesome also, matter of fact everyone is friendly and professional in this establishment . If you own a GR86/BRZ/FRS/ and track it, they will setup your car to win, Justin gave me a kiler alignment that has totally transformed my GR86 to a corner carving machine with so much more confidence compared to the stock alignment. After my alignment the car became so much more predictable and confidence inspiring. TIhank you to everyone at P Tuning for making everyone one of my experience enjoyable. If you are not satisfied with your performance shop or need a retune give P Tuning a try, you would be glad that you did.

Please go to PTUNING for anything car related. I wish I went to them sooner! I bought a modified miata that had an issue and I went through a couple of mechanics who had no idea what was wrong (and made me pay for unnecessary fixes). I was about to sell the car, but decided to try PTUNING first. Tom and his team immediately found the issue and fixed it. The car drives like dream! Tom was incredibly knowledgeable, responsive and answered all my questions. Highly Recommend! Even thought it's one hour drive for me, I will never let anyone else work on the car except for the PTUNING team!

Great shop to go to. I'm usually very picky about who works on my car, and I went to P Tuning for an alignment and corner balancing before my track day. Unfortunately, they forgot to reconnect the front sway bar afterwards, and I unwittingly hit the track without it. Not a safety issue, just an annoyance. I contacted P Tuning and they immediately apologized and said it'll be handled internally in the future, and then offered a free alignment as compensation.They didn't try to punt the ball around, try to argue that maybe it was my fault, or that the nut had somehow worked itself loose independently of their work. Just immediately took responsibility and tried to work it out with me. Their actions in this situation really helped cement my trust in P Tuning, and I would not hesitate at all to recommend P Tuning to anyone else thanks to their professionalism.

Took my sons 370z to get tuned. Cory was very knowledgeable , informative, and responsive with all questions and concerns I had. The Z was tuned to perfection! Thanks Cory for the great experience!! We are now customers for life!!

Knocked out my GS300 coil overs with no problem but when I went back for more work things didn t go as planned.Brought it in for a few things with specific instructions but those instructions were not followed. They ended up keeping the car for about 3 months (luckily I had another vehicle) and when I got the car back there were parts/wires left hanging, AC no longer works and now there are a few new noises not to mention the engine check light came right back on after about $9,000.00 was spent.I believe they were short staffed but still I feel like the work could ve been checked over better. I ll have to go over the work, change out the fluid to what lexus recommended (the box of new fluid was in the passenger seat) and troubleshoot the AC and look into these new noises.After bringing the car back, Ptuning went over everything and brought it back to 100%. It did take a bit of time but this time it was done right. 4/11/24

Disappointing Experience with Ptuning: Unprofessional Service and Costly MistakesI recently took my 2013 Mitsubishi Evo MR with a dual-clutch transmission to Ptuning for what should have been a straightforward job: removing the transmission, sending it to Kozmic Transmission in Texas for a rebuild, and reinstalling it upon its return. Unfortunately, my experience with Ptuning turned out to be a frustrating and costly ordeal.The initial issue was a common one a failed magnet causing the automatic transmission to go into fail-safe mode. Kozmic Transmission, a reputable company, agreed to rebuild the transmission, leaving Ptuning with the task of removal, shipping, and reinstallation. However, the troubles began soon after the transmission was reinstalled.On the very day I picked up my car, a trail of transmission fluid led to it. Returning to Ptuning, they shockingly claimed that the fault lay with the rebuilt transmission from Kozmic, a statement that contradicted Kozmic's stellar reputation and their practice of testing each transmission before shipment.Ptuning sent the transmission back to Kozmic, but upon arrival at Kozmic's shop, it was poorly packaged and showed damage from transport. Kozmic tested it again and confirmed it was fully functional. Ptuning reinstalled the transmission, only to encounter the same issue.During my visit to Ptuning, I was informed that the technician handling my car had never worked on this platform before, a significant red flag. This lack of experience likely contributed to the recurring problems. When I decided to seek a second opinion from Moore Automotive, a well-known Evo specialist, the true extent of Ptuning's negligence became apparent.Moore Automotive discovered that the transmission issues were not due to Kozmic's work but, rather, a costly installation error by Ptuning. A boost line was incorrectly connected to the transmission vent, causing abnormal pressure, leading to a blown seal and subsequent leaks.This avoidable mistake turned what should have been a $5,000-$6,000 repair into a staggering $15,000, nearly three times the anticipated cost. Despite reaching out to Ptuning three times, there has been no effort on their part to rectify the situation or take responsibility for their errors.This entire experience has left me profoundly dissatisfied with Ptuning. Their lack of accountability and unprofessionalism have not only cost me significant time and money but also shattered any trust I had in their competence. I cannot in good conscience recommend Ptuning to others, and I hope this review serves as a cautionary tale for anyone considering their services.Service: Transmission

Very happy with the quality of work and level of service. I have taken my last 3 cars to them for suspension work and have never been disappointed. Worked extensively with Tom and Jack. I'll make it simple: if you want an ok feeling car go to you mom and pop shop. if you want your car almost feeling like new and completely healthy, go to PTUNING. They definitely treat every car I've seen so far even mine like you're going to compete in it like racing against other vehicles or simple lap times you want to accomplish on track. From 1st visit they've given exceptional advice that I haven't gotten in my area at all. Without a doubt they speak the language of cars. I've had tune up as in mandatory maintenance everyone should do on their cars like transmission fluid change, coolant flushing, new tires installed, alignments, a full suspension overhaul. I don't put this lightly when I say this and not trying to make it dramatic either like some ad commercial but they truly have saved my life with their recommendations and even saved me money.Unbeknownst to me, even asking the dealership to make sure I'm not buying a broken car performing all the checks if they want me to jump into a loan right now and take the car they were trying to sell me off the lot here and now, I bought a broken 2010 Mazda 3 GT hatch. Pat who I communicate primarily with during my visits there leveled with me and made sure that I should know I'm in a dangerous car and that I need to be reimbursed. They should've been aware of the original owner(s) mods on the car that made it unsafe when it came to the suspension. Pat made sure to take care of me and give me competent advice on the next course of actions I should take with the car which I've done accordingly I believe. And this was all done for me for a reasonable premium price for parts and labor. Yes PTUNING takes car care to the max. I stand by them completely.Services: Transmission, Air & cabin filter replacement, Tires, Steering & suspension repair, General repairs & maintenance, Oil change

Great shop to work with. I took my car to be dyno tuned and did the pre tune inspection. Durning the pre dyno inspection Tom (service advisor) showed me the minor things the tech inspecting my car found, explained the problem it d cause during the tuning. My experience with ptuning was great and Tom even helped me a few other problems the car ran into while being tuned.Overall I have nothing but good things to say about the services they provide and how the staff takes care of their customers and customers cars. Would definitely recommend taking your modified or stock car there for service or tuning.

I do my own work and rarely take my vehicles to any shop, but PTuning is one of the most professional businesses of any type I ve ever interacted with. Just the way they meticulously check a vehicle over before taking responsibility for it shows how seriously they take things, and that made me confident from the start that they would take care of my old and somewhat unique car.I needed my 40-year old car tuned on the dyno, and Cory was very focused on making sure they could do this for an older car like mine before even starting. He and his tuner Toan spent a lot of time with me going over what they would do and how they would make sure the car was technically sound before tuning it. Throughout the process they were very open and communicative and made sure I knew exactly what was going on.I m almost an hour away in DC traffic from PTuning, but would still consider using them for any repairs or maintenance I can t or don t want to do myself!Service: Auto engine tuning

Took my BRZ here for a header and tune. Besides the car feeling amazing. Ptuning was super helpful and kept me updated the whole time. PTuning helped me order and install coilovers for my vehicle. Cory was patient and helpful and communicated well during the work and multiple appointments. The shop made adjustments to the damping rate without charging me and also helped me with a ride height adjustment a few weeks later.Highly recommended.

Extremely friendly and knowledgeable staff. Due to a lack of a front tow bolt and an unwillingness to drill my bumper, I needed a custom plate bracket fabricated which would mount to the radiator tie-down bolt. They had it cut, painted, mounted and leveled in about two hours.

I got my wheels mounted and aligned at Ptuning this week, they did a great job and the people was friendly and knowledgeable.Tom helped me from the time I called in to inquire about the service all the way through to delivery. Their waiting room was also convenient as I waited for the car. I ll be sure to come back for other work.

This place is so different from any car place I ve ever used. Cory was fantastic and great to work with throughout the process. Cory actually cared about my car and fixing my alignment issue after hitting a huge bump and a flat tire (edge of country road). This was after I took the car to the Mazda dealership twice, and they could not fix the car. The end problem was NTB had put an all season tire on the car, but the other three tires were summer tires. The dealership just put the car on the alignment machine and made the numbers green (barely) and sent me away. Cory and the PTuning guys found the issue and ordered me the correct tire. The car is back!!! 2020 Mazda Miata MX-5 RF Club Brembo/BBS/Recaro package Red. I learned a lot about alignments and summer tires more than I wanted to learn. LOL

PTuning. Concise. Professional. Great Customer Service.My journey with PTuning started a little over a year ago when I came in for an emergency alignment (on a Saturday). While aligning the car, they went out of their way to notify me and show me on the shop floor some issues with my brakes.Ken made small talk and showed me everything I needed to know about Megasquirt and why my car was running poorly. For two hours, on his own time and at no charge, he tweaked some things which helped. He was enthusiastic about the tuning process to the point where I felt comfortable bringing the car in for a retune.While the car sat in their possession, I was given updates and benchmarks via email quickly and professionally. They did everything from a leakdown test before tune, to smoothing out idle and other small drivability issues like ironing out the load dip when fans kick on. I picked up 70whp and a year later, it's still running strong.I decided to change intercooler setups and they worked with me on getting an intercooler developed and charge piping routed just how I wanted. I have to admit, this cost a lot, labor rates for fab is not cheap here, but their attention to detail and professionalism earned my business repeatedly.Every shop will have a horror story, but being new to the area and not knowing a lot of folks, they won me over pretty quickly as being reliable.Unless something changes in my experiences, I will not hesitate to contact PTuning for services and custom work and tuning. I say this having been to SEVERAL "reputable" Miata shops in the area. I have horror stories about those places, but my record with PTuning has gone untarnished.

Worked with Corey and Saul on a bunch of new suspension components for my 88 RX7. It's not an easy car to work on, but they were extremely professional, candid, and did excellent work. Comforting to know that these guys have a passion for performance driving. Took the RX7 to the track the next weekend and felt like driving a new car. This was my first time using this shop, and I will most definitely be using them for any other issues I may have! The staff was beyond helpful (even with some pretty ridiculous requests I had)My service advisor Cory was kind, helpful, and just as eager as I was to figure out the issue with my vehicle! He was even willing to work with me on a time to pick up my vehicle since I got off work after they closed!10/10 experience overall and would recommend them to anyone! 10/10 for PTUNING. The have been helping me out with my CR-Z build over the past 1.2 years. Their labor rates are on the high side but when the work is high quality I'm ok with that. Looking to do dual cams down the road and I'm sure they will take care of me.

What makes this place special is the staff. Patrick went out of his way to take care of my car and did everything in his power to make sure it was 100% dialed. Absolutely blown away by this place. The car drives perfectly straight and corners like it s on rails.
