These guys are awesome. Always quick and efficient with inspections and I've seen their interactions with customers coming in for repairs and they are friendly and thorough. Would not hesitate to get work done here.

I went to Old Towne Auto Repair shortly after they opened on Friday with an urgent need for an oil change due to my negligence in allowing too much oil to be put into my Toyota Camary. My Dad, a former B-17 mechanic instilled in me that too much oil is as harmful on a car engine than not enough. The fellow at the front office took time out to check my oil indicator stick without hesitation. It clearly was overfilled. He told me to leave the car as driving would be detrimental to the engine. The next available appointment was April 10th. The day I brought in my car was April 1st.I walked home with my bicycle pump and nursing study materials which was a 3.1 mile walk. I was intending to use my bicycle in lieu of driving my car and cancel my work related obligations.Friday afternoon I received a phone message that my car was ready and could be picked up Saturday morning, the very next day. I was thrilled to be back on the road.Saturday morning at day break in the drizzly rain, I walked 3.1 miles to Old Towne Auto Repair and gladly paid my bill and retrieved my car.I have used this facility for the five years I have lived in the Manassas area. My Dad and the remainder of my very large family all use the services of Old Towne Auto Repair.I recommended them often to anyone I know who is in need of reliable auto repair needs.Service: Oil change

Great guys- I take two vehicles there, and they will tell me if I need something. If I don't, they don't upsell or scam you. I've found them to be very honest. Make an appointment tho- their schedule is packed some days. If you can wait, you will get a quality repair at a fair price.

Super honest. Went there for an annual inspection. 2001 Ford Ranger. I was told it needed a left side strut to pass. 400 something. Turns out it didn't need the strut, just a bushing. Price cut in half. I would never had known!! That's class!!

Definitely an honest repair shop. We moved here recently and prior reviews brought me to the shop. I was told by a dealership that my brakes had to be replaced. So I asked Old Town to repair brakes and do the inspection for the state. They called me and told me I passed the state inspection without the brake replacementServices: Tires, Brakes, Oil changeServices: Tires, Brakes, Oil change

Olde Town Auto Repair did a state safety inspection for me, and I asked them to take a look at my tire, which had a slow leak thinking I'd probably have to buy a couple new tires (buying them in pairs). The first think I noticed was their promptness--they we're a bit slow that day and could fit me in right away, and they took care of my needs promptly. The next day, my tire was reading low again, so I took it back in and they found that the valve stem/pressure sensor had come loose, so they fixed that and got me on my way for no extra charge. I really felt like they were trying to earn my trust and charged very fairly for their work. I'll definitely be back.

Awesome service! Went in for an inspection and new tires and the guy inspecting the car (Mark I believe) was honest and told me the car is good enough as is and to take the car to Costco for a better deal on tires. He gave me some tire recommendations and prices too! Really above and beyond customer service. I typically hate taking my car in because I am treated as a dumb woman who knows nothing about my car. But I didn t feel that way and they actually made me feel like I was well educated on my car.

Been dealing with them for several years now. Treated extremely well all the time. Great service and prices. They have always been upfront and honest with everything. Bob and John are great guys and communicate with you along the way. If I could give 10 stars I would.

Very honest, don't try to up sell you on things you don't need, which you don't run into these days where shops will give you this whole detailed mechanical thing that you don't understand but make you panic - they don't do this. First time I brought my car in, (brakes) they told me I didn't need any work done where they could of just lied and said I needed them done. I've taken my car back twice and am always happy with the service. Totally trust them and they are also incredibly nice. Go visit Riley, the resident dog - she'll greet you at the door with a lick or two!

Really great service. I will be back for a few more repairs (ball joints/wheel bearings in the future) I had an alternator replaced, they explained services (i.e. Testing so on), but I asked for replacement only and they did what I requested, which was great, instead of some other places wanting to up sell you. They also quoted a price an the service came in cheaper than the quote!!! That's great!!! I dropped it off a day earlier than appointment and they took the car an got done with it before the actual appointment. I been to a lot of mechanics in last 30 years in Ohio and Massachusetts and here in Virginia, I give these guys five stars and two thumbs up!!!

This was by far the most professional experience I had. The gentleman at the front desk was sweet. I came in for a state inspection and they took care of me with no problem. I WILL BE BACK! They have a consistent customer on their hand.

If you like the honesty and quality work you get at Fries Garage, you are going to love these folks. The owner is a historic treasure and the service managers are friendlier than a relative when you're about to write your will. The mechanics know what they are doing and they do not waste time, which means fair labor costs. Waiting room is small but fortunately nobody usually waits long. It is refreshing to have a garage like this one. People you can know and trust.

Bob and staff are the best thing since butter beans, mustard greens, corn on the Cobb, and chicken wings in a Las Vegas summer. He goes the Xtra mile to make sure your car is right. He only uses quality parts. You even have an online service history for your vehicle. His rates are very fair and he is always friendly. I love this place....

They wanted to charge $400 to change the spark plugs and wires. The dealership charges ~$200 so I have no idea why they tried to charge double. While the customer service was decent (minus the attitude given when told we will be taking our vehicle elsewhere), I will not be returning.

I emailed the shop early this week asking for a quote for a routine repair on my little car. Bob got right back to me, and I had the work done today. They really are as good as it gets - did the work as requested and estimated within the timeline they gave me and my car sounds so much happier. Many many thanks, and we'll be back.

A great tucked away shop. Got my inspection done here, no complaints. They have a dog that hangs out in the lobby and comes up to be pet and play if you decide to wait there, and I see that as a huge plus. Would recommend.

The emissions test on our 2004 mustang expired in April and I could not renew the registration. Called Olde Towne Auto and Bob told me to come right over and they took care of it. Excellent service! Always a pleasure to deal with. Best shop in town!!

While visiting my family in Manassas, I wanted a state inspection since mine would expire soon. They were friendly and managed to fit me in despite being busy. Their helpful staff lived up to their high online ratings. I recommend them.

Well, I decided to go for a safety inspection for my Mazda6 (bought in March, 2017), having only 23000 miles on it. I figured it would pass inspection with flying colors, but oh no, I was wrong. It failed because of the brakes. The brakes work just fine and the inspector admitted as much, but the inspector asserted that there is lots of rust on the rear rotors, and gave my car a fail inspection sticker as a result. I looked carefully, and did not see any rust (I saw some tiny score lines, but no rust). I also checked the precise rules for brakes, under section 19VAC30-70-440 - Service Brakes, and did not find anything regarding rust on the rotors being a reason for failing the brakes, even assuming that my rotors have a lot of rust on them, which they do not have in any event. So, if you want an ultra-detailed safety inspection which will likely fail your car for just about anything, go to Olde Towne Auto Repair; otherwise I would recommend going somewhere else. The dog Riley in the waiting area is a nice dog, I must admit. I went to another place the next day and the car passed with flying colors, by the way.
