We went to another mechanic shop where Joe was working and I was excited to hear he had started his own shop. I am glad we made the switch. Joe and the folks at LYH Automotive have been great to work with since day one. Joe is honest, fair, has character, and is clear in his communication. He also helped us prepare for future repairs that did not need to be fixed immediately. This helped us budget appropriately. I could say a lot more but I'll leave it at that. I could not recommend another mechanic more.

If I could add 5 more stars and give LYH a 10 star review, I would. My name is Joe and I have daughter attedning Liberty U. I live 10 hours away in Alabama. She has a 2008 Prius. People at Jiffy Lube told her the car was inoperable, thats a whole other story. I was told by another mechanic that all 4 injectors needed to be replaced and the cost would have been about 50% of the cars worth. That was not the case. I found LYH through the Liberty Univerisity FB parents page with reccomendations. LYH Auto got the job done at a 1/4 of the price quoted and they got to the root of the problem and guided me every step of the way. Be careful out there, lots of people taking advantage of people. LYH Auto is a diamond in the rough.

I got used car inspection, engine oil change, transmission fluid change. He also changed power steering fluid for free. Joe was very informative, honest, and communicative. He is a great mechanic who know what he is doing. Best mechanic that I ve ever seen. Highly recommend

Joe and his crew have always been kind and courteous to me. They're good down to earth people. Whenever I have an issue, i can't fix myself. I take my cars to LYH. So stop on by and give them a try you probably won't regret it

Cadillac XTS V-Sport Platinum needed brakes all around and repair of clunking noise from suspension. Nearby GM dealership (formally Cadillac) had car & ordered wrong brake parts, said nothing wrong with suspension. In frustration blindly gave my trust to LYH with instructions to replace anything that looked like it could be bad, basically a blank check. Pads & rotors all around which I knew were bad. Rear shock seals blown w/visible fluid leaked completely out were replaced. Reported no other signs of suspension failure - (AN HONEST MECHANIC!!). Great price & fantastic results.Services: Steering & suspension replacement, Brakes

Joe is awesome!! He will be honest with you regarding the repairs that need to be done and will have fair pricing. He is also excellent at diagnosing and then correcting issues. Once again awesome work. Joe installed new clutch, ball joints and tune up on my Honda and also did a check over on used Toyota Highlander I recently purchased. He only did services that were needed and he never tries to push things on you that do not need to be done like some other places try to do. He will look out for you 100%. Best shop in town!

When you find a good mechanic you can trust you hang on to them! You'll never meet more kind and helpful people than you will here. Joe is an insanely good mechanic. I had two other mechanics tell me my car was a lost cause, but he confidently fixed it up, no problem. Seriously, the guy can fix anything.

We were recommended by a friend to LYH automotive. Extremely pleased with the honesty of this shop and the excellent work that they put out. Joe is a man of character and you can take what he says to the bank. If you need a reputable shop then look no further.

LYH automotive is the best place near Lynchburg to get any car-related work done. Best mechanic in town. Joe has the knowledge and experience to tackle any auto problem I've brought to him, and the integrity and honesty to match. He won't start replacing pieces without going over the changes with you, and he is very helpful in warning about upcoming maintenance.

Joe was extremely nice and what stuck out was it was genuine, not put on. He did a job not many people like to do that is difficult but he did it an did it right an was 100 percent transparent on the pricing and what costed what. LYH cares about the customer AND the vehicle. I've been back with both of my cars to have repairs completed for a fair price. I've found the service to be honest, complete, and thorough. What major service garages couldn't do, LYH automotive was able to do.

Recently moved to the area and needed an inspection ASAP to satisfy DMV. LYH was highlyrecommended and Joe went out of his way to accommodate. I will be bringing all of my future work here!

Unequivocally the best mechanic I've dealt with. He's very thorough with the vehicle, and extremely knowledgeable when comes to technical issues. I couldn't recommend LYH Automotive enough! Bring your vehicle here, you won't be disappointed!

The owner of this establishment is very knowledgeable and humble. Great mechanic works here and did AMAZING work. The prices were really fair as well. If you are having car issues go to this place and save yourself money and time. Seriously

I work at a reputable body shop here in Lynchburg and we had a car with a serious electrical issue. We sent it to Joe and he took care of this for us quickly as I knew he would. Awesome shop!
