I just had my State Inspection done at Kerr Tire on Old Forest Rd. Very pleasant experience. Staff was exceptionally kind, waiting room was large, quiet and clean. An appointment was required. I do recommend Kerr Tire.

I have been going to Kerr Tire since I had my truck inspected there in 2019. I recently bought new and for our Honda CRV at the best price in town and we're verry happy with them. The staff is exceptionally courteous and David always keeps in touch reminding me of appointments. The service is excellent and I will continue to use Kerr Tire In the future.

I was in the car business for 21 years. I know service depts very well. Everyone has been top notch at Kerr. You can t replace the value of good people at your business. They all deserve raises A+

Be careful taking your vehicle here. Bought $2500 in tires for two vehicles only to get my windshield damaged on an inspection and they will not take care of damages. Nor will their insurance. They were warned about window tint, willingly inspected it and placed a sticker and took my money. Find where they cut 3 inches above the sticker with a razor and notified the manager as soon as I got in the vehicle and saw it. Claim they aren t liable for damages they cause if it s something that isn t legal on the vehicle. Even once properly applied medical waiver was added to registration they still refuse to have it corrected. Now, because of the damage they caused the film which is medically required has to be replaced before it will pass another safety inspection. Be sure you video tape your entire vehicle before you let them have custody of it. Their insurance claims they are not liable for any damage not in the area of their work.

Highly recommended for your auto needs. I recently had another state inspection completed on one of my vehicles. Centrally located on 221, easy in and out, first class customer service by the employees behind the counter as well as the mechanics. Actually drove my vehicle in prior to the scheduled time. Can t say enough about how courteous they have always been whenever I arrive always placing the customer s well being first. Great waiting area. Completed the service ahead of time, fully explained the results and so cordial towards all their customers that entered while I was there. The mechanic even complimented how well kept my vehicle was.Give them your business, you will never regret it. You may need repairs from time to time but that is what a state inspection is all about safety for you and your fellow drivers.

They saved me! Had a bad experience with another shop and they brought my car back to life. I don't take my car anywhere else. Joel is always the one to work on my car. He comes out to me and alot of times tells me the situation and why they did what they did. Excellent customer service in the front of the house and let's you know when something is due and also makes you aware of what they are doing or needs to be done before proceeding! All around a great place for your automobile needs

I had the best experience with Kerr today when I had a flat tire that needed repair. They immediately checked my tire and were able to make the repair right away and even placed the spare tire back in its place under my trunk. Their employees are super friendly and helpful and I can t say enough about their excellent customer service.

I needed to get a state inspection and Kerr was able to fit me in that same day. They got the inspection done and then were able to fix my back brakes which did not pass inspection. But what gets them five stars is that David texted me today to make sure everything was working as expected.

It is unfortunate how many mechanics take advantage of their customers. Unfortunately, that has been my experience at Kerr Tire.I have used Kerr Tire for several years for several vehicles. They initially seemed friendly and honest. As time went on they began taking advantage. I took my vehicle to the dealer in Charlottesville to have the motor evaluated. They did full diagnostics on the motor and said there was no repair that could be done to help and that I needed a new motor. They also said one coil was unplugged making the engine run rougher (Kerr was the only shop that had worked on my vehicle). I took the same vehicle to Kerr Tire the next day for a different minor repair on the same vehicle. David called me and wanted to charge close to $1000 for several engine repairs he said were needed right away and should take care of my engine problems.Also, be cautious about state inspections here. Each year they seemed to find a lot of new problems that were never mentioned during other repair work. Those problems usually ran $700 - $1000 (some were "highly recommended", some "required"). When I tried to decline a suspension repair, David said the repair was required to pass inspection and told me I could not pick up my vehicle without the repair because state law requires them to remove my inspection sticker and I couldn't legally drive it without the sticker. I had the repair done, paid, and am no longer a customer.I wish I had checked google reviews prior to becoming a customer here. In retrospect, it would have saved me a decent chunk of money on unnecessary repairs.

Excellent service, highly professional and knowledgeable about cars. Found and repaired damaged parts in my daughters car and made sure it was safe fir her to drive. Highly recommend Kerr Tire. Great people to work with.

Spent a few thousand over some time here and I probably shouldn t have, shady business dealings, would not recommend in my opinion. Was quoted 1k to change my entire headlight when I just took it in to get the bulb replaced. David swears the light housing was filled with water and was going to continue causing light bulb shortages. Let s just say I went and purchased the bulb myself and changed it, no problems, no shortages. I vowed to never go back, they will overcharge you and smile in your face like that s the best they can do. #MechanicsTakingAdvantage

Friendly and fast! I noticed a nail in the wall of my rear passenger tire first thing in the morning, called them and they were able to fit me in right away. The tire unfortunately couldn't be repaired and they were able to get me set up with 2 new tires at a great price. I was in and out of there and on my way in a little over an hour. Everyone I spoke with was very friendly and knowledgeable and what could have been a stressful situation was actually very pleasant and painless. I will definitely be back.
