Jays got me out of a huge pinch. My 06 M5 died in Bedford during a trip back to Winchester. After replacing the alternator and reprogramming my battery, I was back in business. We trust Jays with all our cars!!! Great fast service, honest evaluation, and fair prices. The shop is a little difficult to get to and the parking lot is not paved- ok unless it s raining. This is a hidden gem in the Lynchburg area.

Chris and crew have always gone the extra mile in servicing my BMW, whether it is a minor repair or something more involved. They are courteous, well versed in auto repair issues, and always on time with their service. You won't find a better repair shop to work on your imports!

Excellent service always. Even though they specialize in BMW service,.they service my Mercedes and Ford vehicle s. The communication from them is excellent and pricing always reasonable. In the last year. I live in Woodbridge, VA and on 4/2/23 was traveling from visiting friends in Richmond to Lynchburg. While on highway 460, a safety warning came on in my BMW X5 indicating my engine had overheated. My vehicle suddenly began to lose power. Thankfully, I was able to safely pull over at a nearby Exxon to call for assistance. The very next morning at 7:30 am, I arrived at BMW Lynchburg to see if I could I have it diagnosed. In the service department, I met Randy, who lacked having any empathy for the situation, and was also short of a technician that day. Unfortunately, the dealership would not have been able to even take a look until sometime the next day. I used Google, which led me to Jay s Auto. They were literally less than than two miles away. Nikki, in the front office, was extremely helpful and concerned when I explained what happened. Less than 45 minutes later, my vehicle had been diagnosed with water pump failure and all new parts ordered. They also contacted the warranty company on my behalf and navigated the pay out process. My repairs were completed that very same day by close at 5pm. I highly recommend Jay s Auto for any BMW service needs.

A+++ Professional, courteous, timely and reasonable!!I was going to be passing through Lynchburg and 3hrs away my dashboard lit up with an ABS light, EPS light, and cruise control failure.I called a few people I knew in Lynchburg and everyone recommended Jay s for my Mercedes. After a few minutes on the phone Nikki had ordered the part I needed shipped over night and they repaired my car the next day - the entire ordeal from lights on to driving again took less than 24hrs. Amazing!I literally cannot recommend them enough and was so pleased with my experience.Service: General repairs & maintenance

I was so happy to find Jay s Automotive. This is a great family run business. I was impressed by the sharp questions asked by the receptionist Nikki and then the diagnosis and service obtained for a brake and rotor repair on a Mercedes, while visiting Lynchburg for the Liberty University graduation. Many thanks to Adam & Chris & Mrs. Jay for helping me out on short notice.

Hello everyone. I used to work at Jay's as a service writer for 2 1/2 years. Why I am no longer there is my own fault but I want to say publicly that Jay and his shop are top notch. I have never seen Techs take repairs so personal to a customers car. They know their stuff and work hard to fix thing correctly. Jay is as helpful a Man to everyone I have seen in a long while. He goes out of his way to go further than most people or shops would. I have no benefit from writing this as I screwed up and was fired but That was my own fault entirely. Jas has to protect his Business and customers from lack luster service by an employee. So if you need repairs etc at want good service, you will get no better.

I've been going to Jay's Auto for several years since my BMW is no longer under warranty. They provide excellent service and charge you fairly. When my car is in no shape to drive or would probably break down if I drive it Jay will warn me. I highly recommend his business!

I bought my first BMW with a great fear of repair issues and costs...Jay's was recommended by a friend. When Jay's saw my car, they knew it! They knew everything about it as they had been servicing it for the previous owner. I have had a couple of issues that would have been major anywhere else. But, Jay's is not your typical repair shop. They do exactly what needs to be done and at prices that I have found unimaginable. This car and I will be relocating soon to TN...I just might drive back to VA for any repairs I need. They are that good!

Relatively new to the Lynchburg area (3 yrs) and have been taking my 1999 Mercedes 300TD to Jays for a little over 1 year. After trying about 6 auto repair shops in the area, Jays is by far the best. Truly appreciate their honesty, quality & timely repairs/maintenance and their fair pricing. Kudos to Jay, Todd, and their staff of excellent repair specialists for winning a loyal customer. They have done an excellent job with replacing the drive shaft, new rotors and brakes, check engine light diagnosis/repair and AC service on my vehicle. They stand behind their work!! Highly recommend Jay's Repair Specialists.

Jay, Scott and their team are some awesome techs and staff they get the job done everytime! Jay's a great dude if u need a foreign car fixed he is the man to see. Highly recommend Jay's for bmw work he is a guy who genuinely tries to help and gets job done in a timely manner his work and customer service is awesome.

Jay's is a true enthusiast specialty shop. I've called a few times just to get recommendations on race modifications for my E36 and Jay's advice is always good. They're quick and communicative while doing work on my car and I trust their judgement when they say maintenance is needed.

It s hard to find repair shops you can fully trust but, Jay s Automotive is without a doubt one of the very best anywhere!I had a problem with my 07 Z4 and the dealership charged me over $450 just to try to diagnose the problem. I said try, they weren t sure what was actually wrong. They estimated repairs would cost $8,000 for some electrical problems.I am so glad I found Jay s website because he knew exactly what the problem was in less than 5 minutes and repairs were a fourth of what the dealership quoted.I just recently had my drivers side airbag fault again which Jay had replaced for me 3 years ago and he found one available and with the lifetime warranty he had it replaced in just minutes and all I had to pay was labor which was minimal.If you have a car that needs repair you will never go wrong with Jay s Automotive!

They are extremely knowledgeable. They quickly diagnose and fix any issue you have with your car at a reasonable price. I have never found the step by step communication they give anywhere else. I don't often review businesses, but I'm making an exception with this one. I dropped off my 2007 BMW 328i for an oil change after hours yesterday. At 8AM the next morning, I received a text from Jay telling me he noticed I left my car and that it was due for an oil change. Before I had even remembered to call them.I called and discussed the oil change and some other things I wanted them to check. I mentioned a service light that was appearing when the car started. He said yup, they saw that and fixed it. It was just an incorrect date from the last inspection.This is not a special experience. I'm not a unique customer. In fact, I've only had my car at Jay's a couple of times. But that's the level of service they provide.

I have been going to Jay's for years, especially when I had my BMW. I since now have Mercedes and still use them for any mechanical issues. They are very honest and upfront with their customers.

Unless you're under warranty or just like paying more for services, drive a couple more miles down 221 and go to Jay's.I like to talk to the person working on my car - try that at the BMW stealership.Honest, friendly people. Won't find that at a stealership.I see some complaints about pricing and I have to say that I definitely don't understand.ANY EUROPEAN CAR COSTS A LOT TO REPAIR.If you want cheap repairs get a Toyota, Nissan, Hyundai, Honda or any American vehicle.You know, cheaply made with cheap parts is cheap to repair.You have to pay for quality. And quality work, which is what you'll get with Jay's.Can't speak highly enough about these guys.I'll be taking my 335i there for ANY AND ALL work that needs to be done.And the extras I plan on doing.And I know I'll drive away happy and satisfied.

I have let Jay's Automotive repair my vehicle (Cadillac Escalade ESV) twice. Both times I was elated. The people are professional and very courteous. Each time I delivered the vehicle, they explained in detail the problem and cost. I was also explained why they use the recommended parts. I never felt any pressure or discomfort in their recommendations. The cost of repair including labor were reasonable for the service provided. I highly recommend this auto repair shop.

The reviews does not justify the service and attention to detail I received while having my car repaired. I told Jay this was my 1st BMW that I owned and he gave me very informative information about my vehicle. He went above and beyond my expectations. He's not only a certified BMW technician he's a MASTER TECHNICIAN!

Jay fixed my old broke back mountain 110,000 '07 piece of junk BMW in few minutes after diagnosis w computer and obvious years of experience. His staff was on lunch and the rental car place hung up on me 3 times so he fixed junker"Bessy" asap. Saved my life!!!I traded it in on a new 5 series and lived happily ever after. Love this shop for BMW.

Do not bring your vehicle here unless you want them to disregard what you say and charge you extra hours for things you say not to touch. Brought a car to diagnose a coolant leak. Told them the CEL was on due to 02 sensors they spent extra time diagnosing the CEL to find out that it is in fact a sensor issue. Very unprofessional of the shop to try and scam extra hours from customers

Jay and team rescued me when my Toyota's alternator suddenly went bad. They stayed late to repair it and saved me from disaster. Long story, but these guys are the best! They're so much more than a car repair place - they're humanitarians on a mission.

These guys are great. They know BMWs inside and out and often know what the problem is when you describe what the car is doing. Chris and Adam are standup guys. I wouldn't take my car anywhere else!
