We have really been enjoying Yankee point marina this year, it's a beautiful place, we live nearby and like to come swimming in the pool, chlorine makes me really itchy and they have a salt water pool here which is really nice...There is live music on Fridays which has been fun....Most of the bands are not that great, and play alot of mainstream classic rock top 40s music...But occasionally they will play an enjoyable and danceable song, and it beats sitting around the house....There selection on non alcoholic drinks is extremely limited and disappointing, and they don't have bottled spring water.....They only have soda, and soda is unhealthy and gross, so no healthy organic drink options....Their food menu is overpriced, and if you are looking for healthy vegan options for food the mushroom and veggie tacos at the captains lounge are pretty tasty, but there is not much else to eat....I would recommend eating before you come, or be prepared to leave early and hungry and thirsty to go somewhere else to eat, since they do not allow outside food....There is a convenience store around the corner though that has a decent selection of spring waters and non alcoholic drinks...It's a shame they don't allow outside food and drink, because they have lots of picnic tables and it would be a nice spot for a picnic after swimming in the pool....I only gave 4 stars for the salt water pool...That's something pretty special that you don't get to experience most places, and it's nice to swim and be surrounded by the beautiful setting....I really hope next summer they have better bands....Original music, bluegrass, jam bands, funk, soul, blues, folk, something that moves your body and is nice to dance to...Please no more played out radio covers...

So good we decided to stay. Ken & Karen and Chief are the nicest, kindest most accommodating people you will ever meet.

Yankee Point Marina is as fine a marina as any I have ever utilized before. They do strive to make for a great experience; their staff are pleasant, hard workers, and there are many fine facets that really make the marina shine. Windows on the Water, the marina's restaurant is quite lovely, as far as aesthetics are concerned. The Ship's Store is well stocked with many items you might need without having to go all the way to Deltaville to the West Marine store. The poolside cafe and swimming pool are quite enticing, with great food. And the bathrooms and showers are satisfactory.I only gave it four stars, though because I feel the prices are too high in the restaurant; and for some reason, even though the policy on dogs requires owners to clean up after their pets, there is one area near the bath-house where it is quite evident that is not taking place. Also, there are a man and a woman who insist on taking there dog into the bathrooms with them and let the animal loose to bother others, while they are trying to...you know, do their business. It's rude and unacceptable. Responsible pet owners don't try to force others to accept their pets and impose their will on them (yes, the one woman in question shoved her dog in the face of the cleaning ladies and tried to get them to "say hello" to the dog). Not cool! It's obvious that Ken and Karen run a fine operation and take great pains to ensure everybody has a first-rate experience at Yankee Point. Except for the things I mentioned above, this is a 5-star marina all the way.

We ate at the restaurant Windows on the Water. The servers are amazing, down to earth. The view is stunning. The food was very good; however, the green beans were not our style. I guess we expected good ol' country green beans. These were blanched and yucky. The steak was cooked to perfection. Overall wonderful evening. Pricy... bring your checkbook!

BEWARE: TOTAL RIP OFF!!! We rented their only boat for a week for an exorbitant amount of money. When we returned the boat and tied it up to the dock, the lady walked up and said that we have to take the boat back out of the boat slip and top the oil off, fill it with gas ourselves (when we wanted to pay them to fuel it up) and wash the boat with a hose around back!! When you rent a car, they don't make you fill the car with oil and wash it before returning it!! The service and experience was disappointing, to say the least. We also visited their restaurant upstairs, "Windows on the Water" on the 4th of July for dinner. We were there, sitting at our table, for 3 hours, and I N-E-V-E-R received my dinner!! They just allowed me to sit there and watch the other people at our table eat their appetizers (ours never arrived) and eat their meals, while I had nothing to eat. They brought the check and had nothing more to offer than, "we're having problems with the kitchen" as to why refills on drinks never happened, our appetizer never arrived, and I went hungry. THIS PLACE WAS HORRIBLE...for renting a boat for a family vacation and trying to support the local economy further by having a meal at their restaurant. All they did was take our money for awful service and lazy people who want you to wash their boat that WE paid to rent!?

My daughter and I rented a sunfish here. The staff was super helpful, the sunfish was in great shape and the area is great for sailing. There are locker rooms and showers to rinse off afterwards. And the price is almost ridiculously cheap.

Very friendly staff. Don't be in a hurry foot is prpareed off site and delivered on a golf cart while you wait. Ask your server to verbally confirm your order with the off-site kitchen may be a good idea.

These guys were great.Just talked to them on the phone to begin with. Moving my sailboat up from Mobile, the service manager rearranged his work schedule to get my hauler in and out on 2 days notice, saving me a 3 week wait. When I showed up on Saturday the mast was stepped and the boat was sitting ready in a slip for me.They treated me lke family. You can't beat that.

We are Boat US members and were in need of another child's life jacket for the day. This marina is a pick up center for their free life jacket rental. This worked out great and we were quickly taken care of.
