I m writing this review in hopes that it gets seen asap. I got a call saying if I don t drop my keys off to my Nissan, they will be towing my car. Just wanted to let you guys know I ll be there possibly by closing time but I ll be there with my keys at some point today. Thanks

They didn t tell me my entire brake system was rusted over big nopeI ve waited a long time to make this review because I have such strong mixed feelings. The people here are so friendly and nice and I wish I didn t have such a negative and scary experience but here it is.They had looked over my car MULTIPLE times once to look it over completely and check for anything wrong, and then a handful of times to fix some various small things that were wrong. The whole time they were looking over everything and telling me what was going on, they somehow neglected to notice and/or mention the completely rusted brakes. It wasn t something they could have missed. It was clear and obvious to everyone else who looked at it afterwards that it was a big, hazardous, rusted mess.But we didn t find out about this rusted mess until we were on a 3-hour drive and our brakes gave out an hour into the trip. Not only were we incredibly lucky to have been stopping at a gas station when it happened rather than on the highway, but we were incredibly late to the event we were going to and we only by sweat tears and headaches made it to a repair place that was the only one for miles that was open and then to a rental car place.The people at King Automotive were so nice but I can t ever trust them again.

I was recommended to King Automotive by some colleagues of mine. I can honestly say they exceeded my expectations at every turn! As a woman, who doesn't know much about cars, it's difficult to know whether or not you're being treated fairly and honestly by any new mechanic. I can assure you - you will be treated fairly and honestly at this shop. The owner diagnosed my problem and explained what needed to be done. It turned out to be a big job that they completed faster than I'd expected and the cost ended up being less than the original quote. I also got my car inspected which they did at the end of their work day on a Friday.I can't speak highly enough about my experience here. The owner and his wife made me feel welcome and helped me get back on the road in less than 48 hours.I will be using King Automotive from here on out! Thank you guys for such a wonderful experience and for doing such a great job.Service: Transmission

Went in for my inspection. Made an appointment for 10:30am, said it would take 30 minutes and it took exactly what they said. They also noticed my tires needed some air and did that for me. Fast, and super nice, plus there was a cute doggo in the lobby! Will be back for sure.

I've used this place for years now and it's always one thing after another. This past time I used them for inspection they failed my vehicle. After fixing the issue I took the vehicle back for them to inspect it and they produced a list of 5 new issues that weren't a problem before (even though they are supposed to only check the previous failed areas). The guy was so rude and had an attitude the whole time he spoke to me. I've tried to give them multiple times to do their job and be upfront but every time its a pain. In the past they have even done changes/fixes to the car that I did not agree to and charged me for it.

I was recommended to King by the gentleman at King George Tire (whom I love and trust). They did not disappoint! Karley at the front desk was as friendly and sweet as she could be and Stuart was amazing. Totally honest with me, talked me through the status of everything on my vehicle and they were finished exactly when they said they would be. Such a pleasant experience that I ll be going back and very soon! I have a Honda that needs some work and Honda s are Stuart s specialty. The stars have again aligned! I wish I could give 10 stars. I can't begin to describe the wonderful experience I had with Wade, Stevie, and King Automotive. No one wants their transmission to go out and no one wants to hear the estimate for repairs. They were patient with me as I worked through the decision on repairing or replacing. They were patient with me as I called around for other estimates. In my calling others, I was told by the dealership I trust for all my repairs that my vehicle was in good hands and I should get the car repaired there. So I did. Then Wade went above and beyond even further to get me out of an expensive rental by offering to allow me to use a loaner he had on hand. When I showed up to pick up that loaner, I also requested two small items from my vehicle, and even though my vehicle was already on the lift, Wade retrieved the items while I waited. Wow. The repair came in under the estimate and before the original estimated completion date. These are wonderful trustworthy people and I would recommend them without hesitation to family, friends, neighbors, and co-workers.

I am not too sure what people are complaining about. I went to Kings Automotive last week and took four vehicles to get an VSI. The entire team over there was very accommodating and professional not to mention up front and honest. To add to the wonderful experience I had there, Hopefully I made friends with Bella. Thank you Wade and everyone for welcoming us to King George Virginia.

It s not every day that you meet such quality people. My family van had engine trouble on our way to Delaware. I called Kings because I was in the area, and was promptly seen. Wade, the owner, helped us find out what was wrong and got us on the road quick. His wife was very accommodating as well. These are great people with great service. I wish I could give more stars!

Grew up in King George and the guys and gals here have always taken care of me and my vehicle. Super professional and personable staff. Even after I moved to Blacksburg in south west Va, when i come home to visit family in King George, I make sure to take advantage of being nearby, and schedule a trip to King Auto for my auto repair needs. My trust in them has never been misplaced.

Treated me fair and the repairs were done right. Quick turnaround on my vehicle. Had it back within the same week. They don't cut corners and only use quality replacement parts. Very pleased. No one likes when their vehicle breaks down, but I will use these guys again when the time comes. (Brakes, calipers, master cylinder on 03 Ford Expedition).

Brought my car there to be looked at. Just bought from auto trend in fredericksburg. They were astonished as was I at the shape this car was in. They literally brought me a piece of my frame it was falling apart! They were very helpful, I cannot thank them enough! Finally got my money back from that shady dealer. They were fast and friendly! I have 3 kids that could have been seriously hurt if I had continued to drive that car!

Called JUST to see if they can schedule appointments for State Vehicle Inspection and the guy on the phone told me it was illegal to schedule appointments for SVI... I looked it up and they straight up lied. SS 46.2-1157 states that it's up to the discretion of the business to do "first-come-first-serve" OR schedule appointments.I would've been fine if he told me they don't do appointments, but to straight up lie and say it's against the law??? Okay, King's. You do you.

Took a company truck in for an inspection, waited over an hour and a half before they pulled the truck in. Truck was in the shop maybe 15mins, when they told me that it failed for a non functioning parking brake, bad wiper blades and a steering issue. I asked them for an estimate to repair the issues. I was told they didn't have time that day to correct the issues and were unsure of what the issues with the parking brake and steering could be as they did not have time to look into it either. How does a shop pull at least one front and one rear wheel off to check condition of brakes as required by VSP but does't try to correct or diagnose the issue with the parking brake while they already have the wheels off? Keep reading it gets better. So I paid them the required $16 for a failed inspection and made and appointment for 8am the following week to correct the issues and reinspect. Truck is dropped off before 8am to resolve issues and reinspect. Contacted them at 3:00pm an was told that they hadn't had time to look into it yet. 3:30pm I get a call saying that we had not resolved the issues to pass inspection and it was still flagged as failed. Explained to them that's why we made an appointment and dropped it off before 8am when they opened. receptionist said that It wouldn't have mattered when they looked at it as they couldn't source the parts in one day anyway. Asked them what I owed and advised them someone would be by after closing to pick up the truck and we'd never be returning. 4:30pm receptionist calls back to apologize, admits they are short handed and offered to ordered the required parts that she had located if would give them a second chance. Nope, no thanks we'll take our fleet of 15+ pickups elsewhere you've wasted enough of our time. So if you like the waiting game, questionable inspections and a female receptionist that refers to her customers as "Dude, Guy, Pal or Buddy" this may be the place for you, however it's not for us.

Love it plan on continuing doing business with king automotive. However the $200 oil change from the other mechanic in king George... I'm still correcting issues

They were super helpful!! I got help with the warranty process for getting my vehicle fixed before I even took my vehicle in to get it worked on! Full of information, kept me informed the entire time and got me back up running in no time. Love this place

Very friendly even to us youngters, very quick to fix the problem, know how to fix it, and they called me darlin' :) Also worth noting is the first guy that came to greet me looked a bit like Travis Fimmel, cool eyes :)

Didn't notice that my brakes weren't properly assembled when I got my car inspected. One caliper was missing ALL of its bolts from getting the brakes done at another shop, and it wasn't until I had car trouble that I found out there was anything wrong.

Two separate times I stopped by to get work done and the lady behind the desk was so rude and short with me for no reason. The first time I stopped and greeted her with a Good Morning she totally ignored me, did not say a word until the bill came. Told me the amount but no Thank You or Goodbye. I thought she was just having a bad day.Several months later, she was even worse! Totally uncalled for. I like Wade and he has always been professionally but the girl is very unprofessional, unpleasant and seems to be mad at the world.I now go across the street to C&S Auto. Keith is great, fair and explains everything with patience. The lady he has working is also very friendly and a pleasure to do business with. Good People!

Professional shop and the owner stands behind the work. Been taking cars here for 6 plus years.A few years ago some work done to my vehicle turned out to have been done improperly and resulted in a failed inspection. When the owner looked back at the maintenance records he realized one of his former employees had done work that directly caused the failed inspection (and necessary repairs). He took care of the repairs (including parts) for free.I've been doing my own oil changes for the last year or so, but for everything else (including inspections of cars that I might buy) I trust Wade to do it right or make it right.
