The woman at the counter berated me for 10+ minutes because I corrected her on something and she refused to believe me. She was yelling, rudely damaging my documents, and making really strange demands about the handling of them, presumably all out of spite. Finally, she looked the information up in the book, realized I was, in fact, correct, admitted so, but continued to berate me for having the audacity to question her wrongness in the first place. I realize my case is a bit more complicated than they are probably used to dealing with at this DMV, but that was no reason to be outright cruel and to perpetuate false information. That woman should be fired.

Great people .I needed a vision test and these people were so professional assisting a senior citizen . A great example of getting the job done and insuring it is done correctly. Thank you for working me through the process with kindness.

Easy peasy lemon squeezy! Took me less than five minutes to do what I needed to get done -- renew my car registration. I showed up on a Friday afternoon, 4pm. The place closes at 5pm, and the place looked very busy. I took the "walk-in" door (that is, I did not have an appointment). I was helped immediately. Paid my $75.75, got my paperwork, and got out.

I had a good time, took me when I got there had a appointment got their early. By passed all the customers that didn't have a appointment. They help me fill out paperwork, Eye exam and pic. Done got a temporary permit till they send me permit.

All the employees at DMV in Kilmarnock were absolutely great, so kind,so knowledgeable. I was really anxious because my license had expired during Covid and I had a difficult time dealing w the super complex state website. I was so impressed with the real life staff at Kilmarnock office. They did a nice job calming down this little old lady! I got a great new picture for my license too! Thanks to all staff

If you remember the days when going to the DMV was about one step above actual torture all I can say is that the change in the past couple decades has been phenomenal. (And I m referencing the MD DMV - which has also improved substantially - for the before picture.) I really can hardly imagine how my trip to get registered, titled, tagged, and One IDed could possibly have gone smoother. Excellent service, friendly people to help. Absolutely seamless.

Staff does not communicate. Wait times are typically short but you can be sure that you will have to fight with the staff to get anything accomplished. I've been here multiple times for one thing only to be told that the document that was accepted the precious time is not accepted now. The requirements haven't changed. The staff simply delights in giving you a hard time. The one girl in particular visibly gets happier every time she can tell you no. 0/10

Fast and friendly service. Very clean and quiet. Must wear face mask and must have an appointment for them to even allow you to get past the front desk. Hand sanitizer available as soon as you walk in and VERY spaced out seating. A total of like 6 chairs in the building. They do allow you to remove your mask if you have to take a picture for anything and you are allowed to smile in your pictures now.

Very pleasant experience considering the MVA :)Staff was VERY pleasant , helpful, courteous and knowledgeable.Building was very clean, and thanks to appointments customers don t have to sit and wait, and wait, and wait, and.....!No NUMBERS to look at or listen for.I got my Title and tag(s) within minutes, and a Very pleasant experience overall.Highly recommend this location.

Left to sit until closing time (roughly two hours) for a driver's test and was immediately failed bc the person doing the test didn't want to be there. They denied that a learner's permit could be available to someone who hasn't had a license in several years. Worst experience ever at a DMV, and I can't help but feel it had something to do with my race or something similar. Went to DMV in Gloucester and got my license in 45 min including the test. There's really no excuse

Worst customer service experience of any DMV in Virginia. The ladies there have zero compassion for others circumstance and refused service for being 15 mins late because they didn't want to have to stay one minute past closing. We already had everything filled out just needed the picture taken and had explained that we drove an hour and waited 3 weeks for the appt but got lost due to being unfamiliar with the area but after openly discussing in front of us that they didn't have time for us when they still had 2 more people and 25 minutes till closing didn't allow them to get out on time. Maybe a different job would be more suitable for people that dont put customers ahead of their dates.

We had to wait one hour past our appointment time for Road Skills test because the appointment before us was late and they took them anyways. The instructor needs to let the student driver know that when doing manuvers and getting points off does not mean you fail....that you can have points deduction and still pass. My daughter's experience was horrible and couldn't have been better had it been better explained before hand.

Quickest Dmv experience... Those ladies were fast. You have my service forever . I went in told them what I needed they handed me the stuff said fill it out then hand it in ( I guess I could have done my part quicker ) bing bang boom sign this read this click yes or no .. have a nice day ma'am ! FAST

Very quick process...employees followed all social distancing procedures and there were sanitizing stations available to use. The employees sanitized their work station after ever guest. I actually like making an appointment now, instead of how it was pre covid because it is less stressful.

I don't have much DMV experience but I always hear people complain about it. Obviously they haven't been to this one. They are the nicest people I've ever seen. Very helpful, very professional and caring.

Very nice staff. I love the appointment system. You show up and get your stuff done pretty quickly. Just make sure you have everything you need before going.

If I could give zero stars I would. My boyfriend and I drove a hour and half to get to this dmv via appointment just for them to say that the machines are down and they are only accepting cash. The employees are very rude and very unprofessional. Meanwhile while he s trying to get a license they are in there stating that they are ready to go home because it s Friday. Then had to run his card over 30 times just to get it to go through. They are very unorganized and careless of the customers who has to come hours away to get what they need .

Staff is great, though they are short in number during busy times. Anytime before noon seems optimal for quick service; rest of day is hit or miss. M/Tu uncrowded. 3 stars due to staff shortage at peak times, not due to service.

I have to say the reviews throw me off as I was just at this location this week and the employees were nothing but nice to me and got me taken care of in a quick professional manner. Again very nice and had excellent customer service. Would much rather take the drive to go here.

If i can get out of work to get in there on a weekday it is the best DMZ experience ever. They really are fast, I've never spent more than 20 minutes here, however they are closed weekends, making it difficult to get in when i need to...

Appointment only service. DMV representatives did a great job disinfecting between customers, ensuring social distancing and mask wearing in accordance with state requirements.
