Our van broke down on a Friday afternoon. After several fruitless phone calls to various towing companies, my wife got George from G & A. He came, towed our van to his shop, diagnosed, and repaired the van and the whole charge was under $100. He was patient and kind. This was especially helpful as our other car had already broken down in our home town of Lexington and so losing this van would have been a real hardship. Could not be happier with George -- he was an answer to prayers!

We had just bought a vehicle that had been sitting for a while. Our first trip in it, it was pulling to one side and making a scary thumping noise. Luckily this happened close to this shop. George took it out and let us know that we had two bad tires. They promptly replaced them while we waited at a very fair price. Vehicle immediately drove so much better! We are happy!

Vehicle started overheating and the battery light came on while on 64. This place was at the next exit and our vehicle barely made it there! Popped the hood and the belt was broken and coolant was leaking. We asked the gas station attendant if we could leave the vehicle there... she told us to contact the owner or it may be towed. We spoke to George and asked if we could leave the vehicle there, and if they could look at it. Of course it's natural to be a little weary about an obscure shop off the interstate... but they were great!!! They had no issue with leaving the vehicle there overnight. They looked at it the next day and fixed it the next day for a very reasonable price. Everyone was friendly and helpful at this place. Thank you!Service: Engine repair

The owner of this garage took huge advantage of my daughter. She had left her bike in the expansive parking lot, completely out of the way, after an accident at 4:30am on a Friday morning. She needed to leave it somewhere safe, and she felt that this kind of place would be able to help her with it. She was hurt and scared because she could not get help at that hour in rural VA, and she needed to get to the airport to go see her dying grandfather. When she called a few hours later - when the business was open - to tell them what had happened and to ask for help, the owner was extremely rude, told her it would be 'towed' because it was in the way of gas tankers (we found it was definitely not in the way), and then hung up on her. He then pushed the motorcycle 100ft into his garage and made it impossible for her to get. He then told her Monday that it was $490 IN CASH to get it, money she did not have. By the time we could get it together and get to him on Tuesday morning, the price had increased to $575! Thank god I could help her or he would have literally stolen her bike. This is ransom and extortion. The sheriff said this business is known for this very shady practice. He absolutely does not care, and this review will do nothing but make him laugh. Beware for yourself - maybe this review will help someone else. Only karma will help this man.

Had hitched a ride with some people from my college and we got a flat tire. This place was only four minutes away so we drove here. An hour later we have a new tire from them for $40 bucks. 30 minutes later that tire fell apart. They gave us a bad tire and we lost $40. Never going back here.

Don t ever go to this shop EVER! This place is a rip-off. Was told we could leave my van here at no expense due to running hot and the owner moved it without our knowledge into his gate. When we proceeded to call he stated it will cost $320 for him to remove our van out of his lot. Ridiculous! I will be filing a complaint with the BBB.

THANK YOU! Stranded on a Sunday, George came to my rescue. Had a blown out tire and I was not able to remove my wheel - lugs were way overtightened and I broke my locking lug key - note: ask the shop to hand-tighten your lugs!! George towed me to his shop and got me on the road again. Very kind, helpful and reasonable.

I had a bad experience with a recent tow job with one of my delivery vehicles. I was billed an outrageous and astronomical amount of money for 1hr 15 min work. Totally, out of line. Extortion. Beware!

G&A towed my parked vehicle from front of their building to their impoundment area about 200 feet away. They demanded $160 (cash only). Unprofessional.

Absolutely horrible. Went and got my water pump replaced and they took off parts that weren t necessary to take off and made my car break down a few days later. Now after paying them $550 I have to spend even more to fix the problems they caused. Horrible, absolutely horrible...

These people wouldn't let me pick up my car for 3 days. Bad customer service. Will never do business with them again.
