Car broke down on highway. Blew the radiator. Was able to limp off the highway and go a few miles before the car overheated. Luckily for me i came to a stop outsides Mikes repair shop. He immediately took time off his other jobs and went to work on getting my car fixed.. He had one of his workers drive me several miles away to a hotel with several restaurants around. I got a room for the night. Several hours later mike calls me and has my car fixed. He drives it several miles to my hotel and drops off the car and gets his wife to take him home.. Car runs great . Best car experience I have ever had . This could have turned into a 3 day nightmare yet thanks to Mike and his guys i was back on the road that night 3 hours later

We made it home before midnight!!!!!!Broke down right off of 95 on 12/30. Mike got it back up and running on 12/31... Sunday... on a holiday weekend. Not only that but he made sure we stayed at a safe hotel overnight. From the start he was completely upfront and honest the entire time.Thank you so so much!!!!!

We ran into some trouble on the road while towing our smart car with our RV. Mike and his team were thorough and knowledgeable with their diagnostic. We ended up having it picked up and brought closer to home, but Mike went above and beyond to get us taken care of and loaded up. It s hard to tell how lucky I was when my Z3 decided to give me a coolant leak from broken radiator and broken serpentine belt, pump, all engine cooling system was messed up in late Thursday evening. I was lucky because that happened right before the exit to Davis Center, where after my inquiry , is there any mechanic or garage here, the attendant gave me Mike s number. He suggested me where I can stay at night, inspected the car and ordered parts at night so they can be delivered by morning so I would be able to save time. He towed my car to his shop and by the next day morning asked his wife to pick me up from the the hotel and brought to his shop where I took my car. It s nearly impossible to find such a mechanic who will be professional, hard working and a man of honor. I wish all the best to Mike and his family and his business. That day was a lifesaving. I was driving from NYC to NC in a tropical storm when my car crapped out. Luckily it ended up just being a flat tire, but Mike Ward and his crew took care of me the next morning before anyone else. He got me back on the road in no-time. Thanks Mike, I really do appreciate what you did for me.

Tonite Mike came thru big time for us and saved our 2 ignorant nieces who were stranded on the middle of the freeway with a broken drive belt. These girls are sweet they really are but they have a combined basic knowledge of somewhere between a chimpanzee and a kindergartner regarding how to operate a motor vehicle let alone how to fix or repair one. Mike went out of his way to literally get them off the highway to a safe place and repaired the vehicle for them on the spot. Went above and beyond and even provided some education. Total delay from break down to back on the road, less than 90mins. Thank you Mike! 5 stars all day long

My 2013 silverado after 194k miles decided it was time for a new transmission. We were on our way to busco beach coming from Middletown DE and all though I called after hours Mike still answered and allowed us to camp out in his parking lot until he was able to check it out first thing in the AM being on a Saturday. He helped in every way figure out and take care of the issues. Really great guys to work with at the shop.

Stopped for fuel in Emporia Va, went to restart the truck & no start. Acted like weak batteries. After trying several remedies attempts including new battery was looking like a failed starter. Employee's at the local auto parts store gave me some names & #s of mechanics & shops, fate had me call Mikes # at 7:45 am, he answered, I explained the situation. Mike arrived within the hour, assessed the situation & went to work. Starter battery cable bolt gave him a fight but he hung in there & got it apart. Starter installed, truck fired up & I'm back on the road destination Florida. Mike was understanding to my situation, knowledgeable, friendly & a pleasure to have work on my baby. Not to put Mikes business out there but Mike was home in bed under the weather but he still answered the call & came to my rescue. It is very challenging when you are traveling & don't know who to call. I know I'm glad I chose to call Mikes Auto & Truck Repair LLC. If for some crazy reason I'm in this area of VA again & need auto repair. I hope Mike is available. Thanks again Mike!Herb

These guys are absolute Lifesavers and their puppy is super cute! I caught a leak in my tire by running over a nail and they quickly assessed the problem and plugged the tire. I told them I would probably need a new one, but they did not upsell me, or try to make me pay more than I needed to which was super nice because I know a lot of dealerships do that. Excellent service, quick work, cheap prices, easy five stars!

These people are amazing first off. My car broke down on me on my way home from a road trip on 95. Lucky me anyways they towed my car to their shop and the engine was blown because my water pump blew and they replaced the engine and did some needed maintenance. They were really helpful and informative along the way and sent pictures of their progress and kept us up to date with everything. Everyone was super friendly and pleasant to do business with. I wish I didn t live so far away I would definitely use them as my regular maintenance place but who knows it might make a nice day trip to get my car serviced.Service: Engine repair

We were heading to Virginia Beach to celebrate our 36 wedding anniversary and to sell our truck, lol. The truck overheated when a hose came loose. We chose Mike for his 5 star reviews. He said we didn t need a tow. He flushed the lines, added coolant and we were on our way in about 45 minutes. Now we are enjoying our anniversary dinner at the oceanfront and the evening is saved. Mike is AWESOME and I'll recommend his service to anyone. Quality work at reasonable rate and straight forward communication! See him first.Like most other reviewers I found Mike after my vehicle decided to break down on me while traveling. Where my story differs a little is I originally had to towed to another shop--I didn't know any better but I do NOW!The other shop had my vehicle for three days and I called everyday trying to get an idea when it would be serviced, and each day the response was 'maybe in a couple days'. Fortunately, I was able to get a ride home the day after the breakdown.I had my vehicle towed to Mike and he called me as soon as it arrived and asked for a list of what I wanted him to look at. Within an hour I had pictures, a diagnosis and timeframe for completion.He told me if I'd had it to him the first time I would have been on the road in an hour. The breakdown turned out to be a simple fix and he was upfront with that, so I had him look at other things and gladly paid him. he had me up and running a day after it arrived.Services: Auto engine diagnostic, General repairs, Battery

We had a Peterbilt truck breakdown due to a coolant leak. We had another company come out to repair the leak, but they made it worse and couldn't fix it. I had called Mikes Auto and they were out within the hour and fixed within two hours! Truck is running great with no leaks, nearly a week later. Mike is a awesome trustworthy business man. I had my trucked towed to his shop. He was closing but stayed open to meet us. Very friendly. His wife drove me up to the store to wait for a fellow coworker. He contacted me the next day fixed the problem. He was extremely fair on his price. I can't say enough good about Mike. Honest, personable, and extremely capable when it comes to dealing with auto repair. My wife and I were on our way to Emerald Isle, NC and had been on the road for about 150 miles when we were interrupted by a spark plug that decided to blow out of the engine. Very early on a Saturday morning. We limped to a 24/7 gas station and called AAA. Driver picked up the car and made several calls to semi local car dealers that said they'd be happy to look at the car mid week... and a couple of places that weren't open on the weekend. Things were looking a bit dismal until Jesse said wait let me call Mike down in Jarrett...If anybody can fix it this is the guy. Sure enough he called Mike and we brought the car to him...professional diagnosis and a precision repair had us on our way in two and a half to three hours! We made it to our destination thanks to Mike's help. We appreciate the work he did and the manner in which it was done. Stupid little Google review doesn't do him justice. A little off the beaten path but if you need a top notch auto or truck tech - find this man. It'll be worth it.Bill

We recently moved to area and noticed Mike's Repair Shop on our daily walk. We have a 2013 Malibu 85500 miles, original brakes. We asked Mike for rough estimate and appt.We brought car in at 9 am. We p/u 1:30pm.Brakes work perfectly, price was fair, and we have a written 12000/one year warranty.An auto shop that's honest, professional, prompt and courteous! While driving our Motorhome and towing a trailer on I-95 N we heard a noise, so we pulled over at the next exit. Turns out our serpentine belt broke. We called AAA and Good Sam s Club. They were not able to do service where we were but could only tow to a garage. Did I mention this was on Saturday afternoon? So I searched online and lo and behold found Mike s Auto & Truck Repair with 24 hour service. Called and Mike answered!! No voicemail! He came out right away. He was friendly, very respectful, knew exactly what he was doing and did not take long at all! We were so impressed and happy of his service and would give him 5+ stars!! Thank you Mike so much! After my dad passed away, it was important that I maintained his 1992 Chevy S10. Mike and his team picked dad's truck up and got it in tip top shape! They were very prompt and took care of a failed trailer bearing right away on a cold Sunday morning in the parking lot of a truck stop. I was very impressed with his vast knowledge of what to do and how he fixed my problem. Mike didn t make me pay for something I didn t need. He was quick and extremely thorough. We were on our way home to New York from vacation, late Saturday afternoon, when the hub assembly on our trailer with our motorcycle on it blew, the axel was also damaged because of this. With the help of AAA we were connected with Mike. From start to finish Mike was GREAT. He went above and beyond to get the parts and fix our trailer so we could head home. We were back on the road Monday. Mike had it fixed by 8 am. He took the time to talk with us about what he did as well as educate us about trailers. I wish there were more honest, kind, friendly and professional mechanics around like Mike.Thank you Mike. PS We made it home. LBush

We called Mike at 5.15pm as our trailer lost a wheel on the I 95. He was beyond helpful and even sent us a detailed picture of where we could safely leave the trailer as it had our personal items in it. At 7 30 am the next day he was up and working on a solution. It was a very difficult job due to the nature and size of the trailer. Parts would be at least 6 to 12 weeks out, he thought out of the ordinary and created a solution by using his brain and welding skills to get the trailer mobile so that we could complete our journey.This is a one of a kind guy that was super helpful and went out of his way to help.A 5 star service all the way round.Thank you mike.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Fast and efficient service! Mike was quick to assess and fix our car s alternator after it died while we were traveling on 95 South. Mike was a blessing to a prayer: honest assessment of problem and fair price had us back on the road in less than two hours. Nice to meet honest and hardworking people when traveling so far from home!
