Family came from New York to the lake for a visit and my boat would not start. Called the shop on Friday afternoon, 7/14/23 and talked to Kim, told to bring it in Saturday at 1:00 PM and they would work on it. She called at 4:30 PM and the boat was fixed. (Bad ignition sensor) The team Mike, Tree, Kim and Peyton saved the day/vacation. Thanks so much and I highly recommend this marina. Great people to work with!!

I recently dropped my boat and trailer there for service for the upcoming season. Although some of the trailer parts took some time to get, Kim communicated to me that this was what was happening. Once I got the boat back, I was very happy with the work that was done. Everything that I had asked to get done, was done and they actually did a few more things. I have full confidence is Peyton's mechanical skills and he has a lot of experience. I will not hesitate to take a boat back to them again.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Engine repair, Boat trailer service

I called them last week to schedule a service and they said someone would get back with me, but I haven't heard from them. Edited... They responded to my review in a timely manner and on a Sunday no less. Looking forward to hearing from someone this week.

Extensive research concerning the quality of boat service around Smith Mountain Lake suggested that SMM Service was an excellent choice for having work done on my Mercruiser equipped boat. I have not been disappointed in the quality of the work performed, in terms of thoroughness of the work done, or the responsiveness of office personnel and the mechanic who did the work. They worked in the needed service I sought around their busy schedule of winterization of customer boats, and met my desired timeline for getting my boat back in the water.I cannot say too many good things about Payton, the highly experienced and skilled mechanic who handled my pride and joy with the sort of concern and attention to detail one might be expected to devote to one's own boat...

This is by far one of the most unprofessional companies I have ever dealt with. I called in October to have my boat be winterized on 11/20. Drove 5 hours to be there for the winterizing and when I called them the morning of 11/20 was told by the very rude office manager that they could no longer come to winterize my boat. She then proceeded to hang up on me.Service: General repairs & maintenance
