Not bad, acceptable service, but not great.If you buy a tire that they have in their stock, their price range would be reasonable. Otherwise, as happened to me, the dealership's price ended up 42$ less than Virginia Tire's (per tire).They have a limited one-way shuttle service, free within a few miles around their store.Besides the typical tire services, they do other typical repair work, but I don't know about their quality or price.However, I have overheard a conversation regarding the brake service of a Mercedes, not a happy customer, so probably if you have that type of car, it would be good to be more careful.One thing I like about this store is they have a quiet room, good if you want to stay and do your office style/ remote job.

Everyone is always polite so no complaints there. I've never had any reason to think they didn't do work or do it correctly.On two separate occasions they told me parts needed to be replaced as if were a danger not to and after questioning it both times, they became a "recommendation".Also, if they email you a quote (which I recommend), keep it and be sure to check the part numbers. This morning I was sent a quote, authorized the work and picked up my car. No problem there and I assume they did everything. Later I opened the quote they sent and realized it was less than what I paid. Apparently they quoted something completely different and then changed the description and price and they didn't even bother to tell me.

Brought my car in to have my tires rotated. First of all it took 2.5 hours instead of the 30-40 min I was quoted when I made the appointment, which was super stressful because I had a babysitter I was paying by the hour to watch my newborn.Then they tell me that there is a problem with one of my tires, they strongly recommend I get it replaced, it is very important, etc etc. Well, it turns out I bought the tire from them less than a year ago and also bought the tire protection plan, so they are actually on the hook to replace my tire for free.Once they realized that, I started getting the runaround despite calling and following up multiple times - no word on whether or when my tire will be replaced. They are super enthusiastic when it comes to taking your money but not when it comes to honoring a warranty apparently.EDITED TO ADD: Don't believe the response from the company about contacting them to resolve the issue, I emailed them at the email address below twice and they never got back to me.

I have been to this location twice now to try to give them my business. Both times I have been cut off when asking for assistance and told that help is not possible for a very long time. No specifics, no here is what we can do to help you , only it s going to be a long time . I never leave reviews but today I barely made it there with a tire that was almost flat and it is pouring rain outside. They don t want to help, are not welcoming, and make no effort to listen to the customer or make a plan to find a solution.

The staff at the Herndon location of Virginia tire and auto are extremely kind, professional, communicative, and helpful. They were a joy to work with, and my car was serviced in a timely and reasonably-priced manner. I am very pleased, and will definitely be back to this location future!

Their service towards safety inspection is the worst. All they do care is about the services that get them money. I dropped my car at 8 in the morning and they said it will be done in a couple of hours. I had a book a cab due to this wait. When i went back in the evening they simply said it is not yet done and no one bothered why it was not done at all. No response other than sorry. Such a waste of money for me hopping they will do it. Never ever go for safety inspection with them.

I was happy with my emissions and safety check. I took away a star because I went to the shop with my husband and the shop s representative would only engage with my husband. I was seeking service for my personal vehicle and initiated the conversation with the representative, yet he directed all of his answers to my husband and clearly preferred to do business with him. I cannot give 5-stars to an auto business with employees with that level of implicit bias.

Daniel was my service manager. Interactions were polite and communicable. He set up my oil change in November. I was given a list of suggested repairs that I ve been dragging my feet on. As fate would have it I had a tire with non repairable sidewall damage.Winter is coming and The need for tires and brakes pushed me into having the repairs done. I came in on Monday December 18. Parts were orderered. I dropped the vehicle off on Wednesday december 20 at 7:30am. I received a call at 10am the following day.The free one way ride was niceGreat work from the technicians and service.

Always have a good visit and the staff is always informative. They call promptly and let me know what all I need and need to fix or what should be done at a later time. I've got an older truck and it always has something or the other happening. But I only take it to them because they are always working with me on prices and what needs to be fixed and what can wait a while. The sales rep I deal with is Dan. Hes a saint and super knowledgable on cars and parts.

Michael was extremely professional and helpful working the front desk. The store Manager Bryan provided the best possible experience I could have. Bryan went above and beyond to make sure my vehicle was taken care of, as well as spending time making sure I was genuinely satisfied with their work. I would highly recommend this location, simply because of the extra Bryan went. They re honest and always provide alternative options that otherwise wouldn t be as expensive.

The staff here, in particular the manager Bryan, were tremendously competent and helpful in troubleshooting a problem with a family vehicle. After weighting my options between here and Costco, I'm happy to support this local business which I feel offers superior service.

I used to depend on this franchise before I moved to Herndon. I've never been impressed with the service at this location for various reasons (poor communication, long waits compared to other locations, my glove box being left open once), but finally decided to stop using them after my last visit. I have been here three times after they replaced my air pressure sensors, which they apparently did not install properly. I finally had to go elsewhere to fix their install, and do not plan on returning here.

Terrible communication.Walked in for my 11am appointment to an empty reception area with no greeting from either of the front desk people. I was scheduled to get an oil change, new back breaks and emissions done.I decided to stay and do some work from my phone for a few hours. 2.5 hours pass and I m happy to wait then Miguel the front desk attendant says bad news it will take longer than expected. Ok no problem, they offer a one way lyft ride so I left to wait else where.Then at 3 pm I get a call from Michael (another one of the front desk check in reps) and he says they are all done and to come pick up. I arrive ready to pay and was told actually we still need to do the emmissions, it will be a bit longer Well damn that s not what Michael said when he called and said it was done.The manager Brian wasn t willing or couldn t comp the $50 shop fee that I wasn t told about when the total was initially given to me.Step it up Herndon Va Tire and Auto. Teach your people how to communicate or just have one rep be the contact throughout the process to eliminate confusion and miscommunication.

Needed to get a tire replaced. Had an appointment at 1 and told them I needed my car by 4:30. They told me to try and drop it off a bit early and they could make sure it got done by then. I dropped it off at 11. When I showed up at 4:30, the car was in the spot I left it with the punctured tire still on it. They were apologetic, but when I told them I'd wait for them to fix it, I sat and watched them handle three cars before getting to mine. An hour and a half later they come out and said it was done, but they hadn't done the alignment check. Told me I could come back the next day and they'd make an appointment for me. Told me it would take around an hour. Came back the next day at the appointment time. Checked in after 30 min minutes of waiting and my car clearly sitting in the parking spot where I left it. I was told that the next mechanic available would take it and then it would be an hour after that.During my time in the waiting room, I saw them actively trying to discourage people from accepting the free alignment check offered with new tires and saw at least one other person have to schedule an appointment for the next day because they didn't complete the service they were supposed to do. This business is clearly over promising and under delivering consistently.I understand mistakes are made, but the urgency at which the mistakes were addressed was unacceptable.

Had an appointment at 11:30 am . my car didn t get finished until 5:45 pm. That s crazy! The guy in the front was very apologetic the whole time, not his fault, but we were also there until 1:15 until we needed to go get our daughter from school and the car was in the same spot I left it at 11:30am. I understand the busy schedule but almost 7 hours for 2 tires? That s ridiculous.

I was impressed by professionalism with daniel when assisting me with the whole issue. But heres why the low rating...When my husband brought my car for inspection he was charged 40 something dollars. When he brought his newer vehincle was charged 20 something. We had to get items on both cars done to pass, and he was told as long as we brought back there we would be charged $1 for reinspection. He brought his car last week, car was automatically reinspected. I picked up my car and right after leaving i noticed i still had a rejected sticker. I was also told i had to pay for a new inspection since it was 15 days past since it was inspected. I was told it was 20 something for emissions and around 20 for safety and that my husband was charged less as they only did safety .. but he has an inspection sticker. I had to wait as there was a qeue for inspections when i dropped my car off previous day i told them that no rush id pick up following day. I know that when i called day before that i had mentioned that i had paper from them for what i had been failed for. Associate was very apologetic and took the blame while the manager sat in the office, the same guy we dealt with the week before when picking up my husbands car and when we dropped mine off. I had informed the associate that i was against coming due to the discrepancy on something so small and basic but went as my husband wanted to give benefit of the doubt.Services: Brakes, Auto emissions testing

Had a 1 pm oil change appointment scheduled at the insistence of VTA staff. At 4pm called and the car had NOT EVEN BEEN TAKEN OFF THE PARKING LOT. Was told they were overbooked even though it was their staff that insisted on the 1pm time. If you want pathetic customer service, to be lied to, and treated as irrelevant, then VTA is your place. The rating would be 0 if possible.

In total shock of how many lies I was told by multiple people at this shop today. Went to get my car inspected and they failed me in two areas, one being a nail in my rim. I have back up tires but they said they would only replace with tires bought from their store. I said I would take my car somewhere else and they told me I could not do a state inspection elsewhere and they do different inspections than other places. Neither of these things are true. I took my car to Hunters Woods Exxon, they showed me the nail that was not in my rim and passed me all within 20 minutes. Please take your car to them instead. I will be letting the state inspection office know about the false information they are giving clients and hopefully stop other people from spending money they do not need too on work that doesn t need to be done.

Dan was very polite on the phone when I called, and he was polite in person when I brough my car in. He also took the time to explain the recommendations. If it wasn't for him I would probably rate this place poorly because I saw my car pulled up for 15-20 min ready to be checked out, and no associate called me to check out. I happened to notice my car was ready and got up and waited in line to ask about it.... and if I didn't get up they probably would have taken longer to call me. Thanks Dan for saving my exp. ;)

Had an appointment for a tire repair at 3:30. By 4:30 my car hadn t moved. Spoke to the front desk they pulled the car into the garage. Still took another hour to plug the one tire. I understand that it s Saturday but that s a long time for this work with an appointment. Then they left the white stuff on the tire rim, but thankfully that came off easily. Employees were apologetic and nice but I d look elsewhere if possible for quick service.

VA Tire & Auto has been in a state of serious decline for a year now.Long story short, expect long wait times, higher prices than other mechanics, and don't expect to be able to discuss your car with the person manning the front desk.The online reservation system flatly does not work. Loaner cars are no longer a service they provide. And even if you have a specific component you're looking to replace, they won't even provide an estimate before charging you 100 dollars for inspection.You can get more, for less, literally anywhere else.

Horrible customer service. Came in for oil change and safety inspection. First thing out of the mouth is it s a 2 hour plus wait for a safety inspection. When I mentioned oil change the person next to him says - Does he have an appointment, if not we cannot do it today. I can hear this entire conversation and it s happened in front of me. Previously I have had appointment and still had to waited 2 hours plus so clearly there is no point of appointments. The attitude of the employee is that they are over worked and have no time for customers. Least they could have done was schedule me a different day, but no one even offered that. Unbelievable customer service and terrible attitude towards customer just looking for service they offer. This is not lead conversion to customers. Doesn t look like they need your business and you re better off going to a place which needs your business and knows a little thing about customer service.

I got my state emissions and inspection done here. I went in and the guy said there s a wait which I was cool with. I said I ll get a coffee and be back. He gave a me a strict cut off which again I was cool with. I asked them if I could wait and he said yes. After about 45 mins I went outside to take a call and saw my car in front of the store thinking it s next in line. I waited for another 45 mins hoping that I d be told (it s over 1.5 hours). I absolutely didn t mind the wait but wanted to get an idea of when it ll be done so I can plan my day. When I got to the front desk, he said it s done and I checked how long. He said the guy needed to punch things in to the system or something. I said my car s been here for at least 40-45 mins. To which he said it wasn t done then (which I m not sure at this point). I then said I ll get my bag which is 20 steps away to which he said I ll take the other folks first. I said I didn t know it was done and I m literally in the next room. My issue isn t the wait. They had made it clear. My issue is why I wasn t informed when I m literally in the next room or why it s so hard to wait 20 seconds for me to get my bag. He went on to tell me he s the only service advisor, etc. I don t get why I had to wait extra and ask. Another lady came in with an issue and the first response of this advisor was we can t help till the store manager came out and said let me take a look. Should have read the other reviews before going in.

We are new customers to Virginia Tire & Auto and are quite pleased with their extensive brake repair on our 2011 Subaru Forester with 100,000 miles. We are big believers in preventative maintenance of vehicles. We have lived in the Reston area for decades and experienced over-selling of repairs from several car dealer service departments and a few private garages.Virginia Tire and Auto was totally honest, professional, and an amazingly clean and organized service facility - we chose Jeff Trump, the manager, and his professional friendly staff to service our 2011 Subaru even though they were $40 higher than our former garage located a few blocks away. The availability of a of a loaner car (for service over $200) was also a great convenience. We will definitely take our other vehicles to this great new facility in Herndon. It is easily located and has plenty of parking and a state of the art free air machine for your tires - THANK YOU Virginia Tire & Auto and Jeff.Second visit for honest auto service to Virginia Tire & Auto in Herndon.Based on our great experience with our 2011 Subaru we dropped out 1999 Mercedes Benz E320 off for a rear differential seal repair and replacement. The lead mechanic did a fabulous job on the 4+ hour labor intensive repair. We are again quite pleased with the preventative maintenance which will save money in the long run on this classic Mercedes.Virginia Tire and Auto delivered another honest, professional, and efficient repair. Jeff, the manager, and his professional friendly staff will be seeing more of our business.THANK YOU Virginia Tire & Auto Herndon.

Please do not visit this place they are very careless and unprofessional. All employees are trained to lie and managed by scammers.I dropped my car to change my tires and I see a crack on my dashboard costing me $1500 to repair.I also see marks of leaving a tool box on my dashboard which clearly shows that have messed up my car.I understand accidents happen but at least have courtesy to accept and apologize.

Great experience, they did a thorough inspection and were candid and straightforward. The waiting area was comfy and clean and they had coffee, soda, apples, etc, as well as a tv showing SpongeBob for kids. Definitely will be going back there soon!
