Purchased a vehicle from them over a month ago and am pleased with working with them. There were a few hiccups, but they were true to their word on fixing the problems and we are now happy with our newer vehicle.

I have now purchased two vehicles from University Motors, both have been very dependable cars. We are now looking for a third. Our third purchase will definitely be from this dealership. They are honest people and work very quickly, unlike any other dealership. We spend, at max, 30 minutes to complete the paperwork. Thank you for being honest people and having a selection of dependable vehicles.

Out of all my car buying experience this one has been the best. I will definitely be going again in the future. The salesman was very personable and made the experience very easy and not stressful at all. Really appreciated it and your work does not go unnoticed. Great staff, good prices, made the entire process very easy! I appreciated that while there was clearly an eagerness to sell a vehicle (to be expected), I felt valued as a customer and didn't feel pressured to make a decision on the spot. I definitely recommend John, his customer service is great and he knows what he's talking about!

Great dealership and great staff made our purchase of a truck easy and enjoyable. They went the extra mile to help us, and made us feel that customer service and their reputation was worth more to them then making an extra buck. We appreciate everything they did, and would be returning customers in the future!

We bought a 2012 scion at University Motors about 1 month ago. Our experiences was very positive. Not the most talkative folks, but honestly I prefer that when making a car purchase. They gave us the space to make a decision without the "pushy" feeling we got at some dealerships. The owners were very straight forward and honest through out the transaction. One nice perk is there was NO documentation fee which some dealership listed at $695! So far the car has been great.

Best place to buy a car. I've been to numerous dealerships in the past week, all of which were trying to shill me out of every dime in my pocket. These guys gave me buy far the best price and easily the best customer service I've experienced in years. Go in, see Chris or John. They'll take care of you. I love my new Mazdaspeed.

Second time buying a vehicle from this car lot. Owner is very friendly and fair. My husband & I will always recommend this place! We feel it is one of the only honest used car lots. Got a great deal on an awesome car. Had a minor issue (tire sensor was out) we worked out a deal with the owner to fix it. He agreed and my I couldn't be happier with "my first car". Thanks for all your help Chris & wife (sorry couldn't remember your name )

I have purchased 2 vehicles from University Motors. I have to say that my experience was very positive. Both times I had spoken with Chris who was very honest and willing to work with me in regards to problems noted on the vehicle. Most times I feel like I would need a shower after dealing with a used car dealership. Working with Chris has been an exception. In both experiences of buying a car, I found him to be very friendly, honest, open, and helpful. I would definitely purchase a 3rd car from here.

This place was great! Starting my review i want to express that this dealership does not have a bunch of added outrageous fees which was a concern of mine.Excellent experience they had exactly the vehicle I was looking for, Hyundai tucson, super cool blue color. I am a late 20s female who felt a little uncomfortable going to dealerships with the worry of being takin advantage of, I did not feel this way at all working with these guys. They helped me have a fun positive car buying experience instead of a stressful one. My boyfriend was also looking for a particular vehicle they did not have on the lot they told us they would take a look around and let us knowWhen they find what will suit his needs.Very highly recommended. Thanks guys! I love my new vehicle! :)

Oh man where do i start. My son and I stopped here to look at a car, and immediately a guy came out and introduced himself as John. John asked if we needed keys to any car we wanted to look at and or test drive. We found a nice clean 2008 Saturn Aura witch we test drove and ultimately ended up buying. The car only had 75,000 miles and the price was right. John even worked with me because of my credit isn't the best and we did in-house financing. After about one month of owning the vehicle my son mentioned that the car was slipping gears. I immediately took it to Broadway Automotive to have it checked out witch in hindsight was a major mistake. Broadway Automotive assured me the transmission was completely shot and needed to be replaced for an insane amount of money. I called John and he said he would talk to Chris the owner. Chris called me and sent his mechanic to pick up the car for further inspection. Chris also offered to pay half of the replacement cost of the transmission even though the car had no warranty. I received a call a couple days later from Chris explaining the car had no transmission fluid. They had a place called Blue Ridge Transmission look at the car and turns out it didn't need a new transmission just fluid and some other parts. Chris also paid the bill for this service. Now people let me tell you this place University Motors I would highly recommend if you want a quality used car and super friendly staff. I have two other boys that will need vehicles in the near future and I will definitely be going back here to purchase another one. I can't say enough just please go check this place out. These guys have killed the used car salesman myth for me. Thanks so much John and Chris!!!!!!!

Do yourselves a favor and don't deal with these folks. I walked into their dealership with four grand in cash to put down on a vehicle which I doubt they see often, if ever at this particular dealership, and they acted like they were doing me a favor by selling me a vehicle. The vehicle I purchased costed more than the four grand I put down so they financed the remaining balance, which netted them additional $ for finance charges, etc. and again they acted as if they were doing me a favor. They stated, "We don't usually do any kind of in house financing, but we will because you have such a large down payment." However, during the time I was there I witnessed two customers come in to pay their car payments. The cruise control on the vehicle was not functioning properly at the time of the sale. They declined to fix it and were not willing to deduct $ from the price of the vehicle due to it not working either. Shortly after purchasing the vehicle, I discovered that it needed $600 in repairs for problems present at the time of the sale. I tried to negotiate with them to have the repairs done at their expense because they were present at the time of the sale and I had just purchased the vehicle recently. They were not receptive to that. Although the vehicle was used, they should have paid for the repairs since they were present at the time of the sale. For all I know, they were aware of the problems and did not disclose them.

Everyone at the entire dealership were very personable, I got a great deal.The vehicle had a couple issues, I called John and he had me come in at my earliest convenience to address the issues.Great peopleGood prices

Where do I start... Price was so good I didn't even try to haggle. Chris, our sales tech, was fantastic. Worked with my crazy stupid schedule. He stayed very late to help us out. He offered delivery and a fix to an issue with the car I purchased before delivery. Again, I am very impressed and very pleased with the service.

I'm writing a review as a previous employee. I've been in this industry here in Harrisonburg for over 35 years.This family has built its reputation through ethical business practices.With today's business climate, it's difficult to maintain favorable ratings.This company has done so and all the 5 star ratings are well deserved. I highly remind this dealership.

Easiest most hassle free car buying experience of my life. I did my research, knew my price, and they had the car I wanted for the price that worked for both of us. I highly recommend using this dealer, he didn't try to sell me things I didn't want/need and was up front an honest throughout the whole process. Ask for Chris!
