Shanks Auto Repair has been my go to place for all my repairs! Jenny is so friendly when you call to make an appointment and Philip and James are very knowledgeable on what and how to fix your vehicle to get you back on the road again. I highly recommend Shanks Auto Repair!!

Honestly it was the best experience I've had at any auto repair shop. They fixed the problem,alerted me of one other thing that needed repair but asked if I wanted it fixed. They gave me price quotes before doing anything. Very reasonably priced, excellent customer service,and quality work.

After having numerous people say "call Shank's", I did call and took my vehicle in for a second opinion. His conclusion was different saving me a $800 repair but he did tell me to keep an eye on things and call with any issues. Appreciated the great customer service. Always a smooth and easy experience when I use Shank Auto for my oil changes, new tires, a/c and whatever else seems to go wrong with my older vehicle. Everyone here is so kind and you can tell that they genuinely care about you and your vehicle. Jenny who works at the front desk is amazing and always makes me feel welcomed when I walk in the front door. I've had bad experiences with other auto repair shops so I'm so happy I have found this place. Where else can you get your tires rotated for only $15?Philip will answer any question you have honestly and with an eye to saving you money.I drop off my car for inspection and tell them to fix whatever is broken, don't call and ask me if it's okay. When I pick it up it still usually only the inspection fee.Try doing that at the Honda dealership, and you would be out $1000!Services: General repairs & maintenance, Wheel alignment, Auto maintenance, Oil change

They are honest. They actually try to do their best and deserve referrals upon referrals for such service. I am super impressed when I stopped in for an issue I had. They were accurate and helpful. I would go back if I were closer. Check them out!

My car had its cooling system flushed about two months previous to my appointment with Shank automotive. The crew gave a diagnostic saying 1. It didn t appear to be flushed well and 2. Most of the parts in the system would need replacing. I had heard great things from family and friends about work they had done here, so I was quoted and serviced. They were very professional and serviced my car quickly, even showing me what had gone wrong. What I most appreciated about my experience is hat as a family that budgets closely, they came right in at the quoted price. Things are running smooth once again! Simply awesome!

Shank Auto Repair takes care of our Fleet of vehicles and does an excellent job. The quality of work and service can't be beat. We Trust them with our personal vehicles as well. Their prices are always very reasonable and they always get us back on the road in a timely manner.

Had some exhaust work done on my Jeep; they ran into some issues that took a day and a half to resolve. To their credit, they did an outstanding job.The cost of the work was well below what I had anticipated. They are avery friendly, courteous, and professional staff/mechanics. Overall; I HIGHLY recommend them. Superior work, professional, very affordable; places like this are very hard to find. Thank-you Shank Auto Repair.

Shank is the best mechanic I've worked with in 20 or so years.We have a 2011 Ford Fusion that had annoying front end/steering vibration and noise. We took the car to a two mechanics (out of town) who were unable to diagnose and fix the problem for over a year.When we moved to Harrisonburg we had had enough of this annoying problem and stumbled upon Shank as a close-by repair shop with good ratings. Boy were those high ratings correct! Shank diagnosed the noise/vibration trouble within 15 minutes and had it repaired that day. Also their repair rates are very reasonable! From now on I will only take my vehicles to Shank for repairs and service because of their honesty, skill and great customer service. They also fixed the AC on our car for a very reasonable price. While towing a camper on our way to Shenandoah Park our truck started leaking a lot of fluid. We had it towed to Shank's and they took it right in. They diagnosed the problem (Radiator Hose Clamp rusted out and had come off), fixed it, and had us back on the road in about an hour. Great service for an unexpected appointment!

After 2 maddeningly annoying mistakes at the previous shop we used, I looked for a new mechanic for our vehicles. I m very glad I found this shop! Friendly, honest, kept me updated, and an excellent value. Didn t try up-selling, they even told me going the OEM route would take longer but save a bit of money. I plan on taking our cars to Shank for as long as we live in the area!

Love shank auto! Very trustworthy and welcoming! They call before doing anything outside of what i request and let me know what is serious vs what can wait! My parents will even drive an hour to use them because of how great they have been with me!

Phillip was great!!! We had an appointment scheduled with him and he was ready and waiting by the time we got there. Super friendly and fast. He was by far the best deal we found in town. Bonus points for having a kid-friendly waiting area it definitely kept my two-year-old preoccupied as we waited. Will definitely be back.

I was up from North Carolina visiting family when two miles into my return trip my car lost power and went into limp mode. Luckily I was able to make it the half mile more to Shank's. Once I got there and described my situation it took Phillip less than ten minutes to diagnose a bad ignition coil. In no time we had the new part and I was back on the road for an uneventful rest of the drive home. I'm super thankful my bad luck struck so close to Shank's instead of further down the road.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic

We have never been more pleased with car repairs as when we have when Phillip has serviced our vehicles. He is quick, timely, honest and fair. We honestly wouldn't take our vehicles to anyone else but him.
