Staff is always beyond great! I m a 30 minute drive from this Harrisonburg location but I tend to often stop by knowing I ll get assisted with news on deals or an item lookup.. I nearly bought the incorrect part specific to my car but the man looked it up before my purchase and we corrected it. Much appreciation to the staff!

Tyler the Liquidator is everything a good stereo store floor salesman should be - informed, courteous and available - and isn t everything he shouldn t be. He found me a $270 scratch-and dent discount on the items I coveted, and set them up in advance of my second visit so I could audition them with the music I wanted to hear.The listening room adequately and comfortably functioned to its purpose. And I walked out the owner of a new pair of Revel Performa3 M105 speakers (in piano black), which have thus far proven their value in my home 2.1 audio system. And the only minor blemish on either speaker disappeared with a careful, light application, with a soft, clean, microfiber cloth, of rubbing alcohol.Bonus: I still have 57 days in which to return the items for a full discount. I don t see that happening, but it s nice knowing those days are there.Huzzahs to Tyler and to Crutchfield for making life in the Burg a little more civilized.Now, if you ll excuse me, I ve got music to return to.

Went in talked to Kevin. Didn't really know what I wanted for my car other than a receiver and he asked alot of interesting questions as to what type of music do I listen too. What kind of sound I'm I looking for etc. And by the time I left the store. Kevin had me all good to go to get the quality and sound that I really wanted. Awesome job to Kevin for helping me.

Very knowledgeable and courteous sales associates. I purchased a new car stereo. The salesman was very nice. I did my research before I purchased the stereo. I was able to purchase it for just a few dollars more than online retailers, but with Crutchfield I received all of the required parts, and instructions to perform the installation at no additional cost. I highly recommend checking Crutchfield out when you are considering the purchase of any home or car electronics. They carry a wide range of brands, so no matter if you looking for an inexpensive product or a top of the line, they have it all.

I purchased a Sony head unit - got a great price, and since I live in VA - my package arrived the next day. Lost a couple screws like me? Called Crutchfield and their knowledgeable tech found the hardware and it arrived the next day. No charge.Crutchfield is like Amazon with a heart and more brain

0 stars if I could. I am in the market for a car stereo and here's why I would never consider Crutchfield. It has been years ago, but I had an appointment to buy and install a system in my new car at the time. This would have been repeat business for me.Well I show up for my 9 AM appointment, that was made several weeks earlier, I am greeted by a small older man that tells me "we just had 20 some golf cars come in today that we have to take care of first, we won't be able to help you today." Really? You cancel my appointment after I drive 45 minutes because you have a more important customer, I ask?.The small old guy says "well the boss say's we have to take care of this customer first but we can re-schedule you." Um no, I want to talk to this "boss" myself, please. I hear in return "I just talked to him and that's what he said, and he's not available." Ok, I can piss boiling water at this point and it takes everything I have not to smack a smart old man. But instead of getting ugly, I tell him you guys just lost a customer for life, pass it along.So here I am years later in the market for a new stereo and this thought, is what I remember of Crutchfield.You clowns don't deserve my business, and I'm making good on it, you lost a customer for life. I hope those 20 some golf carts were worth it, and I hope this review is read by many, and they understand their business mean nothing to Crutchfield, and they go elsewhere.

I chose Crutchfield because of their reputation for being the best in the industry. Well, after my car audio installation experience, my opinion of Crutchfield has diminished and trust has been lost. The Harrisonburg store, at the time, didn't have the tweeters in stock a week prior to my installation date. So, I called and spoke with a nice lady in customer service to ask if it would be alright if I bought the tweeters from another dealer and bring them with me for installation. I asked if there was a store policy against installing products not sold by Crutchfield. The answer was "no", and she told me I could buy the speakers elsewhere if their store didn't have them. The day before my scheduled install, I received a courtesy call from my sales rep to make sure we were all set for the next day. He also informed me the store just got their shipment of tweeters in stock from JL Audio. While speaking, I informed the rep I already purchased the tweeters and he said "great, bring them with you". The story ends with Crutchfield not using the tweeters I bought and installing a set from their inventory which forced me to pay additional money after the work was complete. The rep did not call me to inform me of the decision to make the change. When asked why, citing "warranty" as an issue, with no further explanation. To make matters worse, the tweeters they installed from their inventory are making a popping noise with the bass response, which suggests, according to JL Audio, incorrect wiring. Crutchfield offered to check the tweeters, but I have lost trust and confidence in their ability to perform at the standard and level of professionalism placed upon them by so many consumers.

I had worst luck with these people in harrisonburg my radio worked then shut down yr later still the same thing and radio fell thru the hole

It s so nice having this store local to me. With so much retail being online these days, being able to go into a store, see and hear a product, and speak to knowledgeable staff about it, is beyond priceless.Many thanks to Pat, Tyler, and everyone else who helped me. I m overjoyed with my purchase, the speakers sound amazing in my home, and I ll be back to shop again soon!If you re in the market for anything Crutchfield sells, and you re in the Harrisonburg area, or don t mind a short drive to get here, do yourself a favor and come by the store. The friendly staff will do their best to make sure you find something that will fit your needs and budget, and you ll leave happy knowing you got what will work for you.

I came in to get a radio for my car. They got me everything I needed for a clean install, down to the little cubby to fill in the gap under the new radio. Even the buttons on the wheel work in my 2002 Toyota! Very helpful people, wonderful displays, and great deals. 10/10.

Went in to purchase a particular Kenwood single din radio, staff was very helpful and their computer said they had it in stock but they didn't. Wasn't really a big deal they had another model up from the one I was wanting so for a few bucks more I still ended up with a Kenwood unit which is what I was wanting. All in all was a good experience, friendly staff and nice store.

The salesman, Pat, was knowledgeable about the products we were interested in and made helpful suggestions. Very low pressure. We phoned in our order several days later and the only complaint is that he failed to send us a receipt timely. The installation scheduler solved that problem several days after the purchase.

Drove over an hour to find the components I needed and they were all available and in stock (amazing). Employee was very helpful finding what we wanted. Couldn t find components anywhere else but this store had exactly what I needed. Excellent.

Bought a radio for my wife s Jeep. Very professional and even walked with me out the the jeep and showed me how to work the thing after installing. I noticed that the dash light wouldn t go off the evening, so I called them the next day. Even though they were booked solid they still made the effort to look at it, and correct the issue.

I've always received superb service from Crutchfield employees. They're patient & I've never felt rushed regardless of how busy they are. As a tech nerd myself, I recognize the level of experience, expertise & ability to answer customer questions in a way that isn't confusing to those who aren't up to speed with the latest gadgets & as the daughter of parents who can barely use old school technology, I find it a necessary & endearing quality of a sales associate to recognize what customers require certain ways of learning & interpreting information about the latest. People won't buy what they don't understand. Sorry for the essay, I prefer to be thorough when it comes to reviews since I base a lot of my own purchases on the detailed reviews. Great job, y'all.

We had a great experience dealing with Crutchfield, initially over the phone and then in person at their store. We were replacing the ceiling projector in our theater. We were not knowledgeable about the latest technology or current pricing. But we did know how much we wanted to spend and we did not want to wait months for the replacement. They provided information, found an answer that was in stock and never tried to upsell us to something more fancy or costly. From start to finish it was selected, ordered, delivered and installed within 5 days. Scott and Tyler did the legwork and Spencer did an excellent job with the installation, and when he was done, he vacuumed up any mess and took away all the packaging. Thumbs up and a hearty endorsement for Crutchfield.

I ordered a new gps online for pick up in the store. It was ready within a couple of hours as expected and the service was excellent. I did however hint that I might consider a different model but the sales rep missed an opportunity and didn't offer to show me anything else.As it turns out I am happy with the product I purchased so I won't hold it against him.

The there are great! They even carried different speakers and sub boxes out to my truck so i could see what best fits and helped me to pick out the perfect setup for me! They also installed everything and did a perfect job at doing so. No wires showing and all mounts and connections look very professional!

Excellent assistance from, Tyler Bare, and another co-worker that I didn't catch his name. We bought a stereo and tried installing it ourselves in tune parking lot. We spent 3 hours, with their assistance trying to install, to no avail. I greatly appreciated their help and will definitely recommend them.

Crutchfield has been around for a long time. I bought a stereo from them in the 80s. They had a catalog with extremely knowledgeable extremely well written reviews and explanatory blurbs about all the important characteristics of the stereos of the time, that enabled you to make excellent decisions that you could confirm on the phone with their knowledgeable staff members. This justified their high prices. There must have been a single person there who was the wellspring of all this concentration of good business and audiophile enthusiasm. Now its 40 years later. They still have relatively high prices but their homegrown reviews of products frequently are just puff pieces with no distinguishing information. What they provide in reviews and instructionals is just a shadow of what they used to provide, which at the time might have been the worlds best english language source of digestible information for audio enthusiasts. Now their instructional materials are comparable to what you find elsewhere and probably not the best available. Sometimes even misleading when they write pure puff. Not all of the phone associates are helpful but some really are. I just talked to one who troubleshot my car installation and chased out what was going wrong although it took a long time to figure out what was wrong, and then he sent me a part for free to replace the one their database had erroneously chosen for my car. Some of the others offered solutions that seemed like bad buying decisions. Maybe the wind has fallen out of their sails a little bit and not everybody has noticed yet. Still an important reference source. No longer the be all end all. Their resource that confirms that components fit your car is very useful. Still a valuable institution and they are fortunate that their business model suits this new world of internet shopping. I probably will make my next car audio purchase from crutchfield. At the very least I will almost certainly use them as a resource to determine what to buy.

I wouldn't consider buying electronics anywhere other than Crutchfield. They have quality products, competitive prices, and attentive, knowledgeable and well-trained customer service.

Came here to buy a new head unit for my corolla and scott made the process super simple and fit everything that I was looking for. Simple install and not too pricey and he even printed out a step by step guide for the installation. im extremely happy with the product and would recommend this store to anyone!

The staff was so helpful! I had purchased something on line for pickup. They took the time to ask questions & identify what would work best in my home, suggesting another item (a savings for me). They went over proper installation & made sure I understood how to operate the item. Will discuss future purchases in advance with staff!

I really enjoyed coming to your location and seeing all you have to offer. I had planned on purchasing a TV but when I got there I changed my mind on the TV to a different one. The only concern I have is you don't stock any of the larger sizes in your store, so I have to plan another trip to your store to get the one I need. Good thing is I only live about 30 mins away. Thanks again as Tyler was very help full.
