I appreciated the service I received and the honesty about how long it could take. I found the staff to be friendly and knowledgeable. The front desk was challenged by a rude customer's call and still he was respectful. I think people could be a bit more respectful as they expect these businesses to be with them. Great job guys!

These guys are great! Truly. I needed a quick check done on my lexus before heading out for a long trip. Was recommended by a friend. Me and my 16 month old daughter couldn't have left more pleased with their services. thanks again guys!

Took my truck in to get the idler pulley, serpentine belt, brakes and rotors installed. Let me tell you, Hunter and Elvis went above and beyond to ensure they got everything done in a timely manner. As we all know, newer vehicles tend to have a few things that require you to take them to the dealership for maintenance, due to the need of specialty tools. Hunter and Elvis ran into an issue that frankly most shops wouldn t have taken the time to figure out. They worked tirelessly to figure out the solution to the problem. They thoroughly explained the issue, how they were able to fix it. The cost of their services were very fairly priced. One of the most important factors that stood out to me is the fact they didn t make me feel like another number in their line of customers. You can tell they genuinely cared about your issues, and want to do everything they can to fix it the right way. For any services I need, I will always feel confident in their abilities, and trust them to do it right and at a fair price.

The manager, Hunter Was kind and courteous and very helpful with diagnosing and fixing the problems on my Honda pilot I have used this Tuneup Plus for quite some time now and plan to use their services for all my Auto repair needs for years to come.

Hunter and Mr. Moses took care of us!Do not use a street mechanic. If you have to have your oil changed or a new tire put on and you're low on cash, then maybe but anything else?! NO! Don't do it!!!! We did, and he f� |< d our car! I was soooo mad! So then decided to stop being cheap and go to a shop. The 1st shop was stupid (revied him too) we called around and decided to go with tune up plus when Hunter answered the phone and responded to us with knowledge.Hunter was able to take us the same day. He called us back within the hour with a summary of our issues and a quote. He even offered us a few financing options /things we could do/ what we could wait on if needed, since the price was so high. The "street mechanic" had done more damage than good and hadn't done everything he said he had. Mr. Moses was super fast. We'd had a 3 day quote from a few places, but a few hours later and Hunter called my husband and told us we were finished! He even came below his original quote.He was nice, helpful, and listened. He wrote some notes on our receipt detailing what he did and what had definitely not been don't to our car. I work overnights so I had been sleep and didn't get there till a few before closing at 6pm and still he took his time telling me everything. He did not rush me at all. He showed extreme customer service.We are very happy with our decision to use tune up plus and will only use them in the future.

Got my car inspection and an oil change. I dropped my car and they called when it was complete. No appointment. First come, first served. I was happy with my experience and received exactly the service I expected. My second time using them and I will continue to do so.

THE WORST SHOP EVER!!!! Took my money and my car broke down 2 weeks later. They was like it s not us. Got me on this finance that added $800 to the cost of repair. Once again they were like it s not us. I m ready to call 10 on your side or the Attorney General about this. Never again!!!

They seemed kind enough but, pay attention. Make sure you discuss exactly what you want done or they will charge you for the highest services they have available. When I called to ask about the receipt the front desk guy attempted to gaslight me into believing this is what I asked for. It may have only cost me an extra forty bucks but, I did get the "best" oil money can buy.

We won't be coming here again. We were told our vehicle failed state inspection because the defrost wasn't working and got quoted 150 to diagnose it. The so called state inspector checked the defrost with the engine cold and refused to own up to his negligence. The store manager wouldn't take any accountability whatsoever. We ended up passing state after I had to come up there early before work to prove to them that the defrost worked flawlessly. Highly disappointed.

I,v been coming here since 1998 and Moses has always worked on my Cadillac even my 2001 which a lot of places don t want to work on them but my 2018 Escalade he has done great work on it and the prices here with the front desk managers I have dealt with have been on point and very professional and honor military service members with a fantastic discount.and using their payment plans that they if ur short on cash is great .

This is the first time I had my truck inspected here. I didn't mind waiting because the wait area was pleasant and clean. There was hot coffee, a water machine, and a TV. As I waited I spoke with the manager Tom to get some quotes on some repair work and he was very professional, kind, and willing to answer my questions. When doing the inspection Elvis found a bunch of fishing line wrapped around the back axle by the tire and cut it out for me. After the inspection they had me come out and do a little look-see under the vehicle with them and showed me a couple of areas that will need some attention eventually. My husband is aware already what needs to be done but now I feel confident we have a place to come back to for work to be done by them if needed in the near future. I feel the quotes were honest and resonable. I can't say enough about Tom and Elvis's customer service today. I left with a smile and that's how you keep customers coming back.P.S The RainX wiper blades are awesome Tom, thanks.

Informs you of the financing they have available for those that can't pay the same day which alot of people can't. I definitely recommend! I ve been coming to this location for the past 3 years. Only for a spark plug to blow out my engine. I was told that I never requested a tune up (which is a lie) and that I must request for my plugs to be inspected. They neglected to check my plugs then I spoke with a guy name Trevor who twisted everything. I read a comment on this thread of a customer who stated that they were neglecting to document what the customer stated. Accountability is EVERYTHING and this business has proven they have none. To add insult to injury, I was charged $162 for a diagnostic and then was told they can replace the front of my cylinder for the right price. PLEASE MAKE SURE THEY ARE DOING AND DOCUMENTING WHAT YOU VE REQUESTED BECAUSE THEY WILL LIE TO COVER THEMSELVES!Services: General repairs & maintenance, Vehicle Inspection, Brakes, Brake service & repair, Battery, Oil change

Best service I've gotten without knowing the staff as personal friends.Priced within reason too, was the case... When Hunter WAS the manager.This Manager told me to find someone else to fix my car, he didn't want my $2,500 repair. Left me sitting in my car for over 6 hours waiting to find another repair shop.

I went there to get a state inspection. I got there a little before 8am. Guy told me it may be more than the approx hour I asked him about because there were two people ahead of me. This was fine. I waited as well as another customer who got there not long before me. We both waited over 2 hours. Front desk guy was conversing with him about the delay because he was asked. Apparently the one person doing inspections "had to go somewhere for 10 mins" but it was actually over an hour and a half. They took so long my car never even got pulled in. When I finally asked what's the real eta, after 2.5 hours he told me after they finish one more car then mine will be next but then told me that I was going to fail inspection because the inspector didn't feel comfortable with the back windshield decal I had. I've had it for 4 years and been inspected to no avail in the past. I told him to just give me my keys and left. They wasted my time and ensured I would never come back.

I've been coming here to inspect my vehicles since I moved back to Hampton three years ago. They are always very professional and honest with their assessments of the vehicles. This is my go-to place for vehicle inspections and mechanical work. Always excellent service.

Very disappointed with a recent incident at this location, and when we tried multiple times to place complaints and requests for refunds, we were told with no apology or sympathy for what had happened, that we'd get a call back from upper management, but that never happened. I also wrote to an email address I saw in a response to another negative review with also no response.This used to be our favorite location for car service. I came in on a Wednesday in early July telling them I needed an oil change and that the car wasn't starting normally. I approved several hundred dollars worth of work (not including oil change) under the impression this would fix the car starting issue. At pick up he explained to me how the repairs they made would get the car starting better. Issue was still exactly the same when I got in the car and started it, I brought it up and showed it to the desk supervisor who happened to be outside and he said it sounds fine to him. I drove the car for a couple of days and still was very concerned the car would fail to start very soon and I'd be stranded somewhere. Brought the car back in that Saturday, they double checked it, and told me once again it's fine. We specifically asked about the battery and were told it's fine.Two days later the car didn't start, just as I had predicted, and it was of course a very inconvenient time and place as I was traveling for business and needed a reliable vehicle to get to places on time.Roadside assistance changed my battery and I arrived late to where I needed to be, even after having left wiggle room. Very upset I went back in to Tune Up Plus later in the day to complain and show my roadside battery replacement receipt and ask for a refund for at least the labor costs I had paid for the repairs which did not fix the issue I came in with but rather left me stranded with a dead battery.We've now been waiting in vain for a call back for a few weeks and at this point all I can hope to do is warn others not to trust this location for serious repairs or issues.To the management - if you are seeing this, please find my email from July 17. I will gladly remove or edit this review if the situation resolves favorably.

No longer letting you leave your vehicle over night to be inspected the next day. I got there before noon today and was informed that they're full and, no longer holding vehicles on a first come first serve basis. It's just first come first serve for the day I guess. Never had a problem with it until this most recent visit. We'll see how it goes when when I get up there before noon tomorrow. Service: Vehicle Inspection

Called earlier for some quotes for work to be done on my car and the representative was extremely knowledgeable and needed to check some prices and said they would return my call. Not only did they return my call, they were extremely honest and gave such helpful advice. In a day and age where everything is rushed and overlooked, they still valued customer service and I wanted to highlight that. Thank you very much!

They were great, reasonably priced, and fixed my car issue! I needed to have the motor repaired for my driver side window. I had already bought the part too. The mechanic and the front desk guys were both very nice, and informative about cars and SHOWED me the actual issue. Most car places will rip you off and find new stuff wrong with your car to get more money from you. These guys were the best in the Hampton area for me. And I'm definitely going back to them if I ever need to! Service: Auto side window replacement
