I took my car in for my State Inspection and a battery for my fob. They were quick, efficient, and friendly. After 7 years, a 10 year old Hyundai SONATA with 0 defects is pretty good.

Tacky!!! I've been a patron for several years and loved them but I've noticed a downturn in the customer service in the past year. Today took the cake. Had to wait 6 weeks for an inspection appointment. Dropped my vehicle off first thing in the morning and got zero follow up. After 8 hours I called in, no response. Called back and requested a manager, got Mark who abruptly transferred me to Valencia who had already failed to respond the first time. She lackadaisically told me they hadn't even started the work and couldn't have my car ready before the next evening. Never answered my inquiry about why I wasn't informed. I was so irate I cancelled and retrieved my car. I am really disgusted and will be notifying Hyundai corporate as well. At least the shuttle driver was courteous.

Just be aware that check in time and appointment time are not the same. 5 hours of waiting for the service that should have been 2 hours.

I have been a owner of Tysinger Hyundai cars for over 10 years. I bought my first car straight out of college from them. My family has bought many Hyundais from them. Sadly their service has decreased tremendously especially after the pandemic. I took my car in on one occasion in the Spring 2023 to ger my ac fixed. The service tech over my account was a new guy and he would never answer the phone to tell me when my vehicle would be ready. When initially dropping my car off he stated it would take about 3 to 4 days to fix my car. I asked if they would offer a rental for the time being since in the past they would as sales tactic to get you buy a car from them in the future. He told me to take an Uber and go to car rental place on Mercury. I was quite upset to say the least esp when I'm looking a a sign within the service station that says Rental for customers to reserve. After 4 days the car still was not ready and due to the gentleman never answering his phone I had to catch a ride to the location on the 6th or 7th day all find out my car was ready. Going an entire week without a car and not offering a rental is UNACCEPTABLE.I took that occurance as maybe the new guy didn't know. So the next time I brought in my car in July to get something else fixed, I asked for a shuttle to pick me up at 2PM from my job. Noone would answe the phone and by the time I got a hold of someone it had been an hour all to find out the had the wrong address and noone tried to call me to confirm the correct one.Due to not having enough mechanics they are back up months away so if you need a service item fixed and you have to go somewhere else to get it done. They warn you when calling they are at least 2 weeks to a month backed up. I'm hoping they get it together and have better customer service.

Unprofessional culture that lacks customer service. I took a day off from work and scheduled an 8 am appointment for an oil change, tire rotation, and brake check. I explained to my tech, Amanda, that I would need my car by 4 pm. She promised to call with an update at noon and indicated my car will be done on time. At 1 pm I grew concerned with no call so I called and had to leave a message. From this point I called several more times and at no moment was I able to speak with a person to get an update. When I arrived to pick up my car, I was told by Amanda my car was not serviced and I would have to come back tomorrow. When I asked why and why she didn t call me as promised, I was told she basically forgot and did not have time. I asked to speak with the manager and was told he s too busy so I got in line with all the other unhappy customers and had my 5 minutes with him, Mr Lee. His lack of care cannot be overemphasized; very unprofessional with a terrible take it or leave it attitude . He told me this happens all the time and I can leave my car for a day or two and they should be able to get to it. All this for an oil change?!?! Before I could fully explain the details I was interrupted by several other unsatisfied customers in his office. This place is a circus with a complete lack of value for their customers. I have been here for service off and on for many years and had similar issues in the past which is why I try to avoid it. I called the head service manager, Mr Leatherman, and received my first apology and acknowledgement that his business was at fault, but again he just explained they have too many customers to provide the service they promise. I explained to him I won t return. Poor leadership and process problems plague this location; doing the same things (booking far too many appointments) and expecting different results is the definition of insanity. This is the worst service center I ve ever been to, avoid this Hyundai service center.

My advice: Go elsewhere.The team that receives the vehicles for service are unprofessional, plain and simple. I wouldn t recommend anyone servicing their car at this location. I took my Hyundai on Friday for maintenance (tire rotation and oil change) and was told I had to wait until Saturday to pick up my car. I asked for a rental and as informed they had a backlog of service and didn t have anymore rentals to give out. I called all day on Saturday (about 6-7 times) and was told on several account the manager was assisting customers and was the only one working for the day. I was finally able to get ahold of the manager at 3:55pm and was informed whatever work was to be done on the car was not done as the guy who was supposed to work on my car did not work until Monday. As I explained to the Manager I had to get to work on Monday and couldn t leave my car there on a weekday but unfortunately I did not get the assistance or guidance to pick my car up as the phone call ended and upon trying to call back no one answered.There was no sort of proper communication on the process at all. I went in Monday morning to pick up my car since I had to be at work at 9am, they brushed me off without rescheduling my service or any form of apology. All I got was those who worked in the weekend did not get the chance to take a look at it. Very unprofessional and am sure am not the only person whose time they have wasted.Services: Tire rotations, Auto maintenance

Jessica Russell was my service manager and she was absolutely phenomenal! She was very knowledgeable, caring compassionate and she made me feel extra grateful about the purchase of my vehicle because of the care it is receiving! She ensured that I had a clear understanding of everything my vehicle required to make this service trip a smooth one! I like everything about Tysinger but what I love the most is the customer service ! My rep Jessica yes she s mine lol is the absolute best ! I would most definitely describe her as professional, courteous and a detailed individual. which I especially love so I m never lost about my car issues . She takes the time out to give me such a great understanding to things that I m really oblivious too. She s very personable and treats me like I am part of the Tysinger family ! I know she s only one person but if I can clone her into multiples so everyone can have such an amazing experience as I always do I would . Tysinger is the best! I purchased my vehicle from Tysinger and I must say that, from the vehicle purchase to the service appointments, everything has far exceeded my expectations. Their overall services from beginning to end are nothing but memorable and their staff is AMAZING!!! Whenever I have an appointment, my service advisor (Jessica) lets me know how long my estimated wait is going to be and if it exceeds that time, she provides me with an update so I'm not left hanging in the wind wondering if they forgot about me lol. Saturdays are my errands day so I feel bad dropping my car off, but I know it s in great hands. I was greeted from the second i turned my car off and everyone was very professional and pleasant. Out of the three major Hyundai establishments I spoke to, Tysinger Hyundai in Hampton is the one I chose. Jessica Russell's superior customer service & attentiveness is the deciding factor. She really stood out among the others. Jessica is personable, professional, timely in her response & on point with her delivery. Her sense of humor was tactful, down-to-earth, & funny! I came in for a scheduled battery replacement. I was thinking I d be there 30 minutes tops. I wasn t informed when I called to make the appointment or when I checked in that this is a 2-3 hour process when the battery is under warranty. Needless to say I was fairly frustrated waiting 2 hours for something that should take a fraction of that time. Jessica was really nice and helpful however, 5 stars for her.Service: Battery

I was acknowledged quickly upon arrival. The staff was friendly and helpful! I was given an accurate price quote and time expectation. I really enjoyed the snacks, water, & coffee that was available while I waited! I will definitely use this buissness again for any other services for my Hyundai Santa Fe!

As usual, they tell me what they will do and the time involved. This time they requested that I be taken home because my work would take all day. I was so happy that I knew up front. After they called me to explain the work they needed to do, I picked up the car at the designated time and everything is good.

Worst service ever the service manager advisors and mechanics all liars...will never do any business with these clowns again. They lied about putting a dent in my door as well as claimed they found the wheel lock key all they did was lie and give me a used set....

Set up an appointment for a factory warranty they asked me if I wanted to replace air filters until I said yes for the filters they charge me for the fuel taking induction throttle which was a $54.52 part but they charged $117 worth of labor had to pick it up when services was close so couldn t argue it went in expecting to pay zero dollars ended up paying $302 terrible job would never go again if I had the choice. They never told me the total cost before I agreed to it if they would have I would not have done service with them or would ve caught it and had a change but they didn t even give me the chance to do thatService: Air & cabin filter replacement

I had to have my seat belt buckle replaced again, as this hyandi service dept had it replaced in 2019 for a recall for the same belt buckle. Crystal in the service dept ordered the wrong buckle she said, so I had to wait another week. When the second buckle came in, guess what?, it was defective. So on the third week it was fixed. I asked crystal In Hyundai service for my old buckle back before they started and crystal said oh they threw it away. Crystal never appologised for any inconvenience to me at all. When I asked crystal a question if a prior recall was repaired on my car crystal stomped her pen on her desk with what seemed like her poor attitude.Now I have a humming sound in my car after they replaced the buckle and crystal said I would have to pay 140.00 to have it checked by them. There has Always been a dark cloud over this dealership and especially in the hydundi service dept. In the area of unprofession and lack of Quality and always will be.Service: Electrical

I left my Palisade all day Friday, after I thought I had a 940 appointment for a diagnostic. Was told that was just to "speak" to the service department. Picked up Saturday morning with a finding of could not duplicate. Left dealership and when I turned right out of the property, the sound is still as prevalent as when I dropped it off. Was thinking of purchasing a new Genesis from this establishment...no longer the case.
