Generally good service and very friendly. The format is strange, however, with having to call from the parking lot, instead of face to face conversations. There is no place to sit and wait so prepare to drop your car and leave. Overall, happy with their service.

I got my state inspection done here. Everything went reasonably quickly, with a good system in place for managing Covid risk. Staff was friendly and responsive I showed up just before they opened at 7am, and my car was done at 8:10.They look run down, but get the job done.

I was actually across the way having a bite to eat tonight, not at Childress Service Center. Childress is a great family owned vehicle service center. Fast fair prices and prompt repairs. I've personally been using Childress's for over 40 years. It's changed hands a few times, always remaining in the family.

Great little place, fantastic service and fair pricing. I took my car to the dealership (my first mistake) for an oil change and state inspection. They told me that it failed the inspection that I HAD to have my rear struts replaced, an estimated cost of approximately $1000, along with a few other small things. I called around a few places and decided to get a second opinion from Childress Service Center. They were not only able to fix the issues for WAAAY less than the dealership quoted me (like, under $100), but they also quoted me almost half of what the dealership did for the struts.

These guys are the VERY BEST! I have been taking my cars here for years. They are super trustworthy and friendly. You never feel like they are taking advantage of you. That's HUGE when it comes to getting your car worked on. HUGE!

ALLYSON thinks Childress is a great place to get your vehicle repaired. They are very professional and the only place I go to when I need any repairs done for my vehicle. Dealing with Childress has always been excellent. They have always given great service at a fair price. We just gotten one car back and dropped off another one for inspection.

This place is dishonest and takes advantage of women. Also very expensive. Don't bring your car here! Family has been loyal Childress customers for years and they've done nothing but get worst. Will charge you repeatedly even though they never actually fixed the problem in the first place and will pick your car apart on an inspection to try to get more money out of you. Have also heard of them putting used parts on people's cars.

Ignore the bad reviews it's probably other mechanics in the area trying to lower their reviews. I always bring my car and my wife's car here for state inspections. They are always friendly and get me out quick. Their state inspections are cheaper than other locations.

Took my car to a dealership for a state inspection and didn't trust their assessment, so I brought it here for a 2nd opinion. They were honest and fixed my car in a reasonable time frame! Will be back for sure!

This auto shop is on point and know their stuff! They don't gouge their prices because they get so many clients and stay busy. Highly highly recommend them for any automotive needs. They also keep you very informed during the process of your maintenance and do their best to get you the cheapest cost.A+ in my book

I left some very important papers there last year ( spring season ) while being served and had no idea where i lost them. January of this year 2019, they called me and returned the items to me that just so happened to be left in the waiting area the entire time. The nice gesture and professionalism truly made my day...

Finding an honest professional automotive mechanic that you trust is hard. When you do find them, you have got a keeper. Childress Service Center is a three generation family business that runs on hard work and integrity. I was referred to Childress by a friend because of their excellent reputation. My experience with them has been great and as long as they are in business and i am living in the area, i will always take my car for repairs and maintenance. I trust their knowledge and greatly appreciate their work ethics. Words of mouth and social media will go a long way promoting a tradesman's reputatiin. I am a Childress's fan for life. Thank you gentlemen for a job well done.

A fantastic, trustworthy mechanic here. They are small business with a focus on doing what is right and getting the job done and won't screw you over with pricing. If there is something that they cannot do, they will suggest someone who can.

Phenomenal service! Was in and out for an inspection within 35 minutes (With a full garage on a Friday). The mechanics were incredibly helpful and very knowledgeable. I will certainly forward business to this shop. Thanks again!!

I had a great experience with their repair. They got my truck right in and replaced my starter the same day. I was also happy with the cost. Definately a place you can trust.

I took my car in because it was running hot. Childress checked it out and informed me that my car had a crack in the engine block. Furthermore, they also told me that they had done some research and that my car had an extended warranty because of a design defect. They encouraged me to take it back to the dealership and push the issue. I did what they said and now I am getting a new engine for free. Childress Service Center has a lifelong customer in me. They are honest, hard-working people that will look out for you and not try to get over on you! Thanks Childress!

They took care of my wife and I when we had surprise repairs and had the decency to help us out without taking advantage of us. We are always very busy with work and it's nice to have a local mechanic that we can trust.

Children's Service center is a great place to take your vehicle for simple maintenance tasks such as fluid changes, all the way to major repairs, and anything in between. Occupying it's same familiar location in Willow Oaks Shopping Center, on the corner of Clemwood PKWY and Fox Hill road in Hampton, VA. it has been a familiar sight for many passer-by's for quite a few years. So if you need any kind of work done on your vehicle, Children's Service center is a honest and respectful garage to take your vehicle to.

Childress Auto Repair is THE VERY BEST. Price, professional, quality of work. The do not haggle you for unneeded repairs. The same work for literally more than half the price the dealership quoted me. Thanks and GOD BLESS!
