Big Al s located at 200 West Pembroke Ave in Hampton Virginia are absolutely the best place to take your car to get the brakes done. They kept me informed every step of the way when working on my car. The manager has excellent customer service and greeted everyone that walked the the door with a smile that warmed up the waiting area. Thank you Mr. Dustin and team!!!!

Edit: changing to 1 star. I've been waiting a week for the manager to call me and of course he can't be bothered to do so.They fixed my car which is good and even helped me out a little with the price, which I appreciated. However, I got into my car to find out they didn t use any floor mat protection and my mats are covered in dried mud as it was raining the whole 2 days they had it. Also whoever was driving it to make sure it was working properly went through my glove compartments, chewed some gum that was in there and left wrappers in the car. I doubt I will be going back to Big Al s because of this. Which is a problem for my car since it stalled in their parking lot and while I was driving. I wasted 2 days and $1400 dealing with them, DON'T DO IT!!!

The staff is very caring, kind and helpful. They quickly found the problem with the car and offered the most appropriate and quick solution. They realized affordable workmanship compared to the competitor. I want to thank you to Dustin, James and Dayquann.

I was traveling from WV when my 4 wheel drive actuator broke. Dustin and the service techs here are top notch!! They went above and beyond to give me the best experience and their prices are very reasonable!

Excellent results. Dealer wanted to charge $180.00 for an exhaust diagnostic that I had a picture of the leak. 1,700.00 and they wanted to replace the entire line. Big Al's welded the sucker for $87.00. My go-to always!!!

Reliable, affordable and great experience. Any issues I bring my business. After having a horrible experience at another shop and taken advantage at a supposedly reputable franchise. They definitely will not take advantage . This place sucks, I just hope they didn t tamper with my vehicle because they sure did some questionable things while I was there. Too much to type but I will be taking my vehicle to a reputable shop for further evaluation and take the appropriate actions from there.

This shop is the real deal! Dustin went to bat for me against my warranty company who refused to cover any expenses of getting it fixed and he went to the supervisor and got them to cover everything! Not once did he do this but he did it for me twice and not enough words can express my gratitude! Y'all have got to check him out if you need your work done he's the truth!

Took a bit longer than expected but was informed from outset that they are a first come, first serve business, so that issue is no fault of big Al's... otherwise, I am very pleased with the work done and will definitely use them in the future

Bring your car here first!!! I took my car to this location after being diagnosed elsewhere which cost me to waste over 300. I walked away feeling down to another cold car until Store Manager Dustin said I can almost guarantee it s your blower motor and not the resistor. Guess what, he was exactly right!! Fixed it for me in no time for much cheaper Thanks for giving me heat just in time for the winter! Thank you all!!

Griff Griffin was amazing, knowledgeable and thoroughly explained the problem with the vehicle. They ran a diagnostic after I had taken the vehicle elsewhere initially due to the ABS indicator light coming on and the vehicle maneuvering oddly. I had the code reader performed (elsewhere) that stated nothing was wrong- and despite describing the issue the other auto location stated nothing needed and hadn t suggested a diagnostic instead. Griff explained the code reader versus diagnostic, the shop repaired, retested- called when an additional issue was found in the same system, repaired the hub assembly and sensor. They just earned a loyal customer through both Griff s friendly demeanor and customer service skills as well as their overall ability.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic, Auto maintenance, Auto brake replacement

These people stole my truck within 2 hours of dropping it off. They literally walked out of the front door with the keys, drove off with it and never returned it. Then had the audacity to tell me it wasn't their problem! Going to the news! Police have the videos. Meeting with corporate next week.

Went to see Griff as recommended to have my a/c checked because it was blowing warm air. Great experience. Griff and his team were honest, respectful, straight forward and explained to me the issue with my car. Walked away with my a/c blowing ice cold air and happy. Somebody stole my catalytic converter off my car I went to Big Al s at 430 and they had my car fixed by 600 I didn t think they was gonna fix it immediately but they did and the price was very reasonable!!! other places was trying to bust me upside the head Big Al s on Pembroke really looked out and got my car together last minute I really appreciate the guys there Service: Exhaust

Took my car to get a cat back exhaust installed Was done before lunch got there and they couldn t install the tips and told me to order some off eBay.. The mufflers were angled upwards so there was no way any tips could be installed..Big Al s didn t even attempt to adjust the exhaust properly to make it work I m assuming the mechanic was too lazy to do it right..Next day exhaust came apart on the highway all the clamps were installed incorrectly..I was charged 230$ for this awful workHighly disappointed.Service: Exhaust

Best exhaust repair shop in the area. After being jerked around by the dealer I took my Ram 2500 Big Al s and they got me squared away in hours compared to the weeks Winners Circle quoted me for. Their prices are reasonable, their staff are knowledgeable and their technicians are experts. Thanks Big Al

Went today for brake work and had a GREAT experience! Came in the morning and they were able to get me done same day. From the beginning they were transparent with the price (very reasonable by the way). Shoutout to Griff and his team for actually letting me see and feel what they was describing so I could understand everything that was going on as it happened.
