On January 30th I took my future girlfriends 2005 nissan in for inspection this shop told her the inspection failed due to a leaking steering rack if they did the repair the fee would be $900.Here is the problem. She owned this vehicle for 2 years it is garage kept and it does not have any leaks . I advised her to go to another inspection station but remove the rejection sticker and the report and keep it on hand. When the tech inspected the vehicle It passed with no problems she said "how is the steering rack" he said mamn this vehicle is in immaculent condition"On Feb 5 I returned to Red Jenkins auto to question their motives 1st I was told the power steering reservoir was empty. If that's true how did she have power steering? Then He said it leaked out.but I live 1/4 mile from this establishment I checked the vehicle over before the inspection and all of the fluids were fine. Then I asked "so if the fluid leaks out in 1/4 Mile how is she able to steer the vehicle with no issues from brook rd to the Darbytown rd area then to another inspector days later and she driving it right now and didn't loose a drop of power steering fluid? They claim they have no reason to lie but the evidence shows they run a shady business and if you don't know any better they will cheat you.THIS PLACE SHOULD BANNED FROM DOING BUSINESS IN HENRICO COUNTY

I been taking my car to Red Jenkins Auto Center for years. Red Jerkins Auto Center have new owners and the service is not the same. I drop my car on a Thursday night for a state inspection and it took them four days to do a state inspection. When I got my car back my door handle in the inside was broken. I called Red Jenkins Auto Center to ask them what happened to my door handle because it wasn't broke when I drop it off. They denied that they broke it and stated that it was broken when I drop it off .I will never take my vehicles back there just rude and unprofessional.

First time there. Very helpful, squeezed me in to get my daughters car inspected. Lounge area was large and clean. Everyone was so friendly and easy to work with, including the young man at the front desk!!! I will be taking my cars to them in the future!

I have been taking our vehicles to them for 12 years. I am very happy with taking our vehicles to them. Every time I go there the people are respectful and courtesy. They don't try to take advantage of you. I haven't had any issues after taking my car to them. I really appreciate their service.

Chad over at Red Jenkins took car of my car inspection and it was the best service I have ever gotten at a car shop. No one tried to screw me over with prices and everyone knew what they were talking about. Going back in two weeks to get my oil changed I loved the service so much. #weloveRedJenkins

This is a funny place actually. I dropped my car with the check engine light on with multiple cylinder misfire. it is a honda pilot. they said the diagnosis will be $60 and the estimate for the fix will be provided later. they called me after 2 hours and told me that one of the cylinders has some issues and they don't touch the Honda engine. So I need to take that to Honda Service Center and need to pay them $130 as their mechanic took 1 hr for diagnosis only.I went there and told him that the diagnosis is 60 and if you fix it, I pay the hourly rate and the parts needed. he started saying to get the car I need to pay 130.**my question is, I went there to fix my car. if they can not fix it or their technician is not confident or competent, that is not my fault. I should not even pay a single penny to them as they refused to fix this themselves and if I take the car to Honda they will again diagnose it and I need to pay again. There is no use of this diagnosis they did. it is a waste of my time and money. If they don't touch the honda engine, they should have told me even before touching the car as the misfire code is related to the engine only.Is it my fault if they don't fix honda cars? :D when I asked this question, Bill (the guy on the counter) said it is not their fault either. :D Funny. No? :D they are not confident or competent is not their fault. At last, I had to pay $65, which is also a waste of my hard-earned money.I would not recommend them.

Went to get state inspection, was told I needed ball joint and Bellows boot replaced.I was also told I needed oil change. never in 60 years of getting my car inspected that an oil change was a requirement. I had no ride to leave it. I took it to another shop and was happy I did. The prices at this shop is way too high.

First I had a 1:30pm appointment to get an inspection done on my truck. I was not called to the desk until a few minutes before 4pm to be told the truck was rejected because of the outside rear tires and an exhaust leak. Not upset about the rejection but sitting there that long 7 months pregnant was not ideal. I called this morning to see if I could bring it back to be re-inspected and was told that was fine they were not busy as long as it was before 12:30pm or I would need to wait until 1:30pm. I get there a little before noon and was told I needed to come back after 1:30. When I asked if there was anyway someone could check it that I was not able to wait that long again and reminded the guy of our phone conversation I was rudely told no that everyone was on lunch. He then said you can take it somewhere else but they will charge you for it. Ok...I did take it elsewhere and had a very pleasant experience, Morris will now be my new inspection station. I will never set foot in this establishment again after the way I was treated.

Don't expect your vehicle to be safe after a safety inspection. Neither blinker worked, had to replace a tire the very next day because the belt was showing, breaks that were "fixed" leaked brake fluid and that doesn't include other issues supposedly fixed. Took 6 weeks to get my vehicle back in no better condition than when I took it. I did contact them and they offered to send replacement parts to the new mechanic (no labor costs) but haven't gotten that far. Working on filing a complaint with the Safety dept of the state police. My family, friends and I have used them for over 40 years. Once the owner died things went down hill very fast. We will never use them again and recommend you don't either. All that money for nothing.

I went for an inspection and the service was really nice and fast. I had to arrive before 8 am since the day before I got there at 9:30 am when they told me I was too late for an inspection. One thing that I'll like to point out is that they are not taking any precautions to minimize covid-19 risks to their customers or employees. Employees where not wearing masks and I didn't see any hand sanitizer on their customers lounge.

On June 11, 2022, Saturday, approximately 1 am, I struck an unlighted overhang at a banks rear ATM. It cause my RV to be uplifted on the pierced upper side, lifting that sides wheels, making it unmovable. Needless to say, AAA was called,...many many times as I was stuck there for approximately 12 HOURS!At long last, in the afternoon, I was approached by a man, David, who offered help, as he told me he had a towing company. David called an employee who brought a "pickup truck", after analyzing the angles, etc., hooked up the undercarriage with a chain, used a liquid to make the wheel slide easier, and pulled it off of the overhang. -Something that the "largest towing company in the country, AAA could not do"!I commend David, Brian (I believe his name is) and Red Jenkins Auto Center for their professional, caring and fair price in taking care of me.Also David and Brian kindheartedly removed the mangled awning supports and took them away to the dump for me which really was not part of their job! Thanks again guys!!

Redd Jenkins is under new management. It is no longer the grest service reliable auto repair shop. I just paid 300 for a headlight replacement. That was just labor. I was floored. They removed entire bumper to replace a light. Totally unnecessary work to price gouge. Been going there 33 years. Time for a change. Beware of new management.

We consult Red Jenkins for all sorts of things - bringing in a car to check before we buy it, annual inspections, checkups, oil changes, tire replacements, ... They are super nice, very laid back, and extremely reasonable. They will give you a thorough and realistic assessment of your car, and only recommend things that absolutely need replacement - the rest is up to you (and your budget). They even drop me off and pick me up at the shopping center while our cars get done...Great!

If you need a quick state inspection....then they are okay. But if theres anything mechanically wrong with your vehicle ESPECIALLY a clutch. DO NOT take it to them. I "heard" they were good, but last year when I took it to them, it took them a month and 2 weeks to finish a job (its was a 6 hour job) and then when the car was returned to me, my wheel falls off while im driving under 24 hours of having it back. They fixed it and payed for my tow, but this year I tried to give them another chance and they took 2 months to even start on my car and then kept making excuses on why hes not finishing it up, and I had to get my car delivered to another shop because you could tell by their voice, they didnt want the business, and that they could care less. Ive never written a review before because I've always felt its a waste of time, but people really need to know how terrible of a mechanic shop this place is. Absolutely horrible.

The guys at Red Jenkins are very friendly, good people. Im a younger woman and I am happy to have found a place I can go and know their not swindling me out of money. They also give realistic time estimates on repairs.

Honest and fast. Some services can be a little on the high side price wise but I'm ok with that knowing that it's honest, needed work. A honest mechanic is just about priceless.
