The folks at Complete Automotive are top notch. I moved to RVA a few years back and have been using them frequently. My truck has had several issues and Complate Auto has been honest, up front, and accountable for the entire process - only charging for repairs that NEED to be done, not upselling unnecessesary services. I generally work with David, however, all folks I've interacted with are geninely nice people...which is rare these days. The technicians make sure jobs are done right and test drive at least 3 times to ensure a safe and reliable repair to keep you rolling. I own a small business and having my truck is vital to my livelihood. I can count on Complete to diagnose, repair and keep me moving! It's an awesome local shop in a great location that does solid work and acts with integrity. I will continue to use Complete Automotive as long as I'm living in RVA...I highly recommend you do the same!

Check your oil cap! About a year ago, I entrusted my car to Complete Automotive of Richmond for a routine service. Unfortunately, the outcome was far from routine. The oil cap was left off, causing extensive oil leakage throughout my vehicle's engine bay and undercarriage. This oversight resulted in $500 worth of damages, including professional degreasing and part replacements.I communicated this with the management, and while they initially promised to address the issue including cleaning the leaked oil from my car and driveway the follow-through was insufficient. My car was merely hosed down, which did not remove the oil, and the driveway was left unattended. Despite assurances from the manager, it seems my case was forgotten. It's crucial for potential patrons to be aware of my experience. I had hoped for accountability and remediation but was left with damage costs and unfulfilled promises. I urge customers to inspect their vehicles carefully after any service at Complete Automotive of Richmond.

I came here for a state inspection at the beginning of the year and only have positive things to say! The front desk lady was very kind and informative! My car was in great condition however there was one thing that fell into a gray area. Unlike some state inspectors that just call gray areas automatic fails my inspector considered the extend of damage, my safety, opinions of others and the law before making a determination which is the best I could ask for. Some other positives:- Inspection completed earlier than allocated time- If you chose to wait there s a spacious waiting room with a kids corner- Front desk willing to give you a personal opinion on where your inspection might pass/fail- Exceptional customer serviceWould 100% recommend and will be back for any future car needs!

Took my car in on a Thursday, was quoted one thing for the diagnostic fee, when they sent an invoice showing total cost of repair the fee was twice as much. This was Thursday afternoon. Brought that up, they said they'd honor the quoted diagnostic fee. Agreed on repair. They said they had the parts and the work would be completed Friday. We were busy and Friday came and went with no contact saying the car was ready. We figured we'd call first thing Saturday and collect my vehicle. We find out Saturday morning they're closed all weekend. We call them Monday around 9 a.m. (they opened at 8 am) and they say "it was done Friday, no one called?" Uh, so you FORGOT to let me know it was done and I went without my vehicle for a whole weekend for NOTHING. AND they weren't too worried about correcting anything, apologizing or even letting me know it was ready since WE had to call THEM Monday after they'd already been open for nearly an hour. I wouldn't go back.

Going to give this the attention it deserves....1) Do NOT ever get an inspection here. Do not. Complete Auto plays games, and I don't know from whom this originates. It isn't the staff. This is a new thing as of 2023-2024. Maybe Complete can recover this, but there seems to be a shift in business practice that is anti-customer. We see you.2) Mechanical work and tire replacement quotes are insane. Mechanical will run 2x-3x the norm of honest locals, and tire replacements will be a full $260 on top of local rate.3) Get a 2nd opinion if you choose to service here. Also, check your lug torques after your vehicle passes through this facility. I'm serious here - check them.

Still nice people. Recently had car there. They called and wanted to add an air filter in addition to the work i had asked for. I agreed and when i picked the car up the bill was more than i expected. They did end up making it right after some back and forth, as it was probably an honest mistake. I would go there again to get my car serviced.

Unfortunately cannot recommend. Was told my vehicle didn t have camber adjustment bolts, and that I needed to buy a kit. Interesting as I had just installed new suspension components and had marked them. Moreover, they were able to adjust the rear, which has the exact same cam adjustments as the front. Funny how that works. Secondly, they lost a matching set of valve stems. And third, they seem to have taken the car for a joy ride as the mirror, lights and suspension settings were all changed.Not a chance I would trust them to do anything more than a tire change. And even then, take your valve stems off before hand.

Sunshine the so called service manager is rude and doesnt have communication skills. Went for state inspection and was amazed at the petty things they found, 3 light bulbs and questionable window tint. Sunshine got belligerent when I ask questions. Replace 3 light bulbs $94 absurd. I will go back if he gets removed from his position. Otherwise I will not go there. I am not Joe car owner, I have knowledge of mechanics. When I got my vehicle back they did not close the hood and had to pull over on 288 to close it before it got blown open. Great move service department putting me in harms way.

Took my car in for a flat tire and they were so professional, that I took my car back to complete for an oil change. Very professional and friendly staff from the moment I walked into the door until the moment I left - Jasmine and Mike were very helpful at the front desk!!!!! Jasmine even helped take off my old oil change sticker before I left! My seat was never moved when they moved my car to the shop! HUGE PLUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And their was no burning oil smell on the exhaust manifold or engine block after my oil change!!! HUGE HUGE PLUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Scheduled an appointment for vehicle inspection. Very quick and good service. No tricks to get you to pay more money. There's also a room, where you can read books while waiting for your service to be completed.

I love Complete Automotive! They are not far from work and can do oil change, tire rotation and state inspection within hours. I can drop off in the morning and pick up at lunch. They didn t change my car settings which was annoying so had to change those myself after.

Complete Automotive service department to the rescue again!! Kevin and his crew were persistent in fixing my older Acura they called several places searching for parts for an unusual problem, got the necessary parts for a reasonable amount, and completed all repairs and an inspection before closing on a Friday night. They deserve a raise for all their excellent work!!

This is my go-to for any services for my car. They're one of the only mechanics that doesn't try to tack on a slew of items I don't need. They're friendly and they don't have the jaded/snooty vibe that many others do. Keep up the great work!

Came here for the state inspection. I made an appointment a day in advance. Once I got here, the process took no more than 45 minutes.There s a nice waiting room. If you come with children, there s a playroom (on the attached pictures) to keep them busy!

Amazing shop, I think I have used them for almost a decade on multiple cars. They do quality work while being honest and reliable. I have never had any issues with these guys, and I love that they are Military Veteran friendly.

Excellent service on my two recent inspections! I recently took two cars of mine in for inspections with no appointment. They had both ready by the end the day and didn t nitpick pointless things like some places do.They even were nice enough to correct a light bulb I had installed incorrectly that would have otherwise caused me to fail.Super impressed with these folks. I do all my own car work but they will get all my tire and alignment work for here on out!

Great place and you can get your work done without appointment if you are open to come in at 7am and wait/drop-in. Super friendly staff, did my inspection in an hour. They recommended few fixes but not mandatory and I needed my car. Will be surely return later to get them fixed here of course with an Appointment. Thanks for getting the inspection done.

Highly recommend Complete automotive of Richmond. They provide great service at a good rate. Wait times can be lengthy, but that is expected at a very busy shop. They are busy for a reason! Ask for Kevin or Jonathan, they are my go-to service writers!

Was chasing down a vibration in my car. While in Richmond i googled 'tire store near me' scrolled past the chain store tire shops and found this locally owned shop. Good choice. Went in early Sat morning. Justin the counter guy was very pleasant and listened to my concerns. They rebalanced my 4 tires in a timely fashion. Seeing women by themselves in the waiting room is actually a good sign. To me it means this place has built up trust by taking care of women and not taking advantage of them. Was impressed by a large clean showroom,waiting room and bathroom.Even has a children's waiting room Would recommend this place. Hey Justin,have your tire balancing machine calibrated. Check sticker for last time calibrated.

Went there for stste inspection and was told that the front driver side turn light is glowing white and it should be amber. They charged $60 labor charge for changing a light which is of $5. I couldn't verify it since I was in a rush for my office. Also, they took 2 hours to change the light. I won't recommend them at least for state inspection.

They have been working on our fleet for over 4 years now and I always leave the shop satisfied with their incredible people and customer service. Thank you Thomas, Sunshine, Mike, and all the other guys there for the amazing front desk and phone service. At one point they quoted me about $500 to perform a variety of mechanical work needed. when I arrived there to pay them after the services had been performed, they said that the bill would be ~$80 LESS because their mechanics realized that one of the work did not have do be done. I thought that was incredible. I was ready to pay and they did not take my money. This happened on many instances where they look out for me, rather than just taking the money. Thank you very much!

We initially took our car to a dealership to have it looked at and they gave us a total for the repair that seemed high. We called Complete automotive for a second opinion and they graciously looked over our vehicle and let s just say they saved us a ton of money! They ve earned all of our future business by operating with honesty and integrity. Highly recommended. Thank you to the staff there from front to back they do things the right way!

Went in for a state inspection a few weeks ago. Everything passed, but they came back with a few recommendations on parts that needed to be replaced. They gave the price upfront and I opted to get the service done (same day).I eventually got a call once the work was done, but my radiator had been unintentionally damaged during the repair. Not only were they forthright, but they also had the accountability to replace it out of pocket.Just yesterday, I started experiencing some issues related to the original repair. I called and they immediately had me come in to get it fixed, same day, free of charge.While I wasn't excited about the post-repair issue, their quality customer service absolutely made up for it. This is a dependable, trustworthy company and I'll be returning for future service.

Brought my older Hyundai Santa Fe in for state inspection and to have a couple of other issue investigated. Suspension knock in front end, occasional burnt oil smell and slow leak in one tire. Jasmin jumped through hoops to work with an out of state tire road hazard policy on the tire to save me some money. Resolved the other issues with a fair quote for parts and labor. Veterans should ask about a discount which they were happy to apply to the total bill. A very positive experience.

I took my car here since my original shop was giving a higher estimate. I was recommended by a close friend to go to Complete Automotive to get a second quote. They were able to fix my car for almost half the price. Kevin and Jonathan in the front were very helpful and able to answer all my questions and concerns. Wayne did a fantastic job with the repairs. They did not disappoint.If you need any work, go to Complete Automotive.

This place is terrible. If you question anything you re told by the staff they get a serious attitude, and become very condescending. After being told 1 price, once the work was done they quoted me 500 over what was talked about. They gave no options, essentially they said pay or we ll take out the part we replaced - but also they threw out the old part. So pay, or your car won t work. After getting my car back, there were several chips in my windshield. I ll never suggest this place to anyone. If you HAVE to go here, take pictures of your car when you drop it off, because they will damage it.

I would not recommend taking your vehicle here, I dropped my car for inspection, they failed due to front right and rear left turn signals, wipers then stated the they steering rack assembly needs to be replaced due to leaking. I asked for them to break down crazy high labor (145 hr) and unable to really do so. I understand the counter guys don't always know what's going on asked to talk to the service manager and the first thing this guy says to me is to go look under the hood. Great way to speak to a paying customer, The worst part is that less than 5 mins after picking up the car I test and wouldn't you guess that all my lights and signals work absolute fine. So when they lie about that they cant be trusted. DO NOT GO HERE THEY WILL TAKE ADVANTAGE. Reported to BBB and State police.

Year over year, I keep coming to Complete and they continually exceed my expectations. Professional and friendly, the folks at Complete seek to educate and keep my vehicles on the road. Prices are reasonable given the quality of work performed - I say this because their cost is *slightly* above average, while at the same time, it is impossible to put a price on safety. This matters.My fianc� and I took our ride in today for what we thought was a wheel bearing issue. It turned out to be cheap OEM tires coupled with poor historical inflation (prior owner) that resulted in tire cupping. Complete Auto correctly identified the actual issue, as apparently I was unaware that this was a 'thing'. After they knocked out tire replacement and balancing, the warbling noise is gone, and we are absolutely grateful for that!Bottom line is that Complete has always done right by us. Much appreciated, y'all!!
