Rude and aggressive to say the least. He refused to take my car to a repair shop on the day of the accident and again on the day he was supposed to take it because he said he wanted to get paid upon arrival and that simply isn't how its done. The receptionist at the repair shop even told me she found him pushy and rude. He walked away while I was speaking to him, towed my car without speaking to me or telling me where he was going, and I had to get his business name from the police on the scene, not to mention the rear of my car was damaged from his towing as it was not involved in the accident at all. Unprofessional, rude, insensitive, aggressive, and someone i wouldn't even recommend to my worst enemy.If youre female especially, please find someone else. He will not listen to you.

Towed car 2.7 miles charged $400 dollars to get it next morning. When l had some one call to see what there regular towing fee was for 2.9 miles they said $70 dollars. When l called to get my vehicle when they towed it from wreck. They charged $150 to tow 2.7 miles $150 hook up fee and $100 dollars storage for less than 24 hours. If you get in an accident in Front Royal and can call your own tow company do it. Tharpe's are a bunch of thieves. I only put one star because l couldn't subtract stars. Preditory business practices.

My truck broke down at the intersection of I-66 and Rt 340. Tharpe's came to get me. The were immediate. They were courteous and the followed through with me to ensure my truck received quality repairs. If you need towing, call Tharpe's before you call anyone else.

My friend recently got into an accident and this was the company that was called to tow their car. The person who picked up the vehicle was rude & demanding, refusing to take the car anywhere but his lot when my friend wanted to take the car immediately to a repair shop, & then told my friend they couldn't have their car back until the end of the holiday weekend. Today, this same person refused to release the car to the body shop for hours because he demanded to be paid up front. Completely unprofessional, rude, and harmful to someone who has already been through such a traumatic event.

Being the owner of a tow company I could tell he didn't want us there. The repair garage called me to pick it up . I honestly think Peanut is very old school . Don't say much to anyone, but a good man he is . If I was stranded in the Blue Ridge mountains , Peanut would put me up for the night and I would accept .If you don't understand Ole school then yes he probably did come across the quite type .

A relative locked his keys in his car in my driveway and Tharpe's was at my house in mere minutes & got the car unlocked. Great service. Friendly people!

Not 24/7 either unless you're driving a big truck,they did at least answer the phone at 6am.
