I've found it quite challenging to locate honest mechanics these days, but I have to say that Homer is truly exceptional. He's not only a nice fella but also provides the best treatment for your car. He's incredibly honest about your vehicle's needs, which instills trust. I wholeheartedly recommend this place for all your car maintenance needs. What's even more impressive is that they always answer the phone promptly. Give them a call!

5 stars!! I am new to the area and was struggling to find a place to take my car for service. I needed a quick oil change and state inspection on a short notice before traveling out of town for the holidays and every place I called couldn t fit me in for a while. Homer tried to get me in as soon as possible and was very friendly!! I got my car back within a few hours and when something needed to be fixed to pass inspection he called me first and went over pricing to make sure I was ok moving forward. Honest, quick & reliable. Definitely my go to place for all my car needs in town now!

The absolute best service!! Professional, Quality and Genuine care for the customers. We were driving down from Pennsylvania to Virginia when in the cold early hours we punctured our tire on the highway just outside Front Royal. We had just enough air in the tire to make it to McCarthy. We got there just as they were opening and they took our vehicle in right away, repaired our tire and had us back on our way in record time. They even didn t charge us for the repair. As out of towners, we were so grateful and impressed. Thank You to the whole team!! You truly blessed us in our time of need.

Nicest people. Homer and Billy were awesome. Any maintenance needs I am coming here. They do basically everything. Very quick and very competent. And they have a mini basketball hoop in the waiting area for kids and vending. Little things like that are very nice to see. Very pleasant experience thank you all.

A full 5 stars deeply knowledgeable and honest about the state of your car and the choices and cost to make it right. Already spent $1500 with them on big jobs and consider it money well spent.You ll prefer Bruce, Homer, Jay & team if you are the kind of driver who likes giving a clear picture of what s wrong and getting good advice and service in return.(If you prefer the hands-off, mystery, and high prices of a Dealer, that s very different than how McCarthy s of Front Royal operates)

Homer and the front desk gentleman were so kind and helpful! I was supposed to come in at noon but my deposit didn't clear yet. Even though they got swamped/booked out the entire afternoon; he still let me stop by and looked at my tyre.It was rude of me to not call and say, "Hey, I can't come in on the agreed time. Can I come in at three instead?". He didn't get angry with me and was so detailed, in the diagnosis. Bless you. Thank you for your help!

We were traveling and still about an hour from home when I hit a nail! As a mom, alone with four kids, I had to be careful where I stopped and I definitely made the right choice! I told the front counter that I was traveling and my tire was actively leaking and I had kids in the car. He told me to bring the kids inside and they would take care of it. Not only were they done in twenty minutes but they also didn t charge me for the patch. I will recommend McCarthy Tire to everyone I know! Outstanding and quick service. Thank you!

Have been going here for years getting my tires mounted, balanced and alignment. Called today to get new tires put on and was told they don't do that unless you buy tires from them! Well at least I don't have to wait in customer area smelling new tires sitting in the waiting area.

If you are looking for tires in the Front Royal, VA area (front door to the Shenandoah National Park) then the only place to go is McCarthy Tire Service. This place has it all: a friendly, well-trained staff, considerate and exceptional customer service and an excellent value in tire prices. In addition, McCarthy has a comfortable waiting area and a full complement of reading materials. The good news is that you don't have to wait long. When I needed tires, they took me right in immediately and had me out the door in less than 30 minutes. They can operate this quickly because they facility itself is large and they have the staff to manage it. I highly recommend this company and think you will be well-served. Homer, the front of house manager, is a knowledgeable and effective asset who will treat you like an old friend.

Traveling to New England with a long day ahead of us. We had a flat and called several tire shops in the area. Every one of them said it would be 2-3 hours wait. When we called McCarthy, the manager (I think his name was Homer) said "just bring it over, we'll fix you up". They did and we were on our way in thirty minutes for practically no charge. Super service from a great bunch of guys.

Went in for an alignment. The mechanic put off going to his lunch to squeeze me in. I was just traveling through and told them I had just enough to get it repaired. They had it done in 20 minutes and took knocked some money off for me ! Great place and really friendly staff !

Fantastic customer service! They were able to get me in and out quickly when I got a flat tire early in the morning. I'm so glad I found a local shop (I had been procrastinating post move) and will be in here for any future auto needs.

Great service by Homer and Jay our mechanic. Explained what they were doing and why. Kept us informed through the entire process. Also provided good advice on a place for breakfast while we waited. If you are a Pittsburgh sports fan, let them know and you get a little extra attention! Go Steelers!

Excellent service; only place we take our cars.My husband and I having been going to McCarthy Tire for over 15 years (even back when it was Duncan Brothers). Homer, the current manager, and his staff do an excellent job of "taking care of the customer" first and foremost. While it seems a lot of other auto and tire places are more concerned about how much they can profit; Homer and his staff are more concerned about what they can do to help the customer in the most reasonably priced manner. They are highly skilled mechanics and they know their business. So many times we have taken our cars in for a repair, etc. thinking we would have to spend an arm and a leg. Not the case; it's always the best they can, for what you really need, and at a reasonable price. They also always discuss this with you ahead of time. This is what a great business is about - high quality service, well-trained staff, and attention to customers. My husband and I don't hesitate to recommend McCarthy. These are the only guys we trust with our cars. Thanks guys!!! Homer is a great manager. And a big shot out to James!

When my car broke down, they gave me advice over the phone before I even took it to them, which of course I did. Fairly priced, with a polite and friendly service. I trusted them immediately, and will only take my car here from now on.

One of the few honest shops left.These guys are upfront and honest, no-nonsense. All professional. I spoke to Homer while I was here getting an alignment and turns out I needed some parts and repairs to get my truck rolling down the road straight. Homer worked with me and got me exactly what I needed. No extra parts or special promo pushes, just did what needed to be done. No smoke and mirrors. The mechanic was upfront and honest about the repairs and told me that it had to be done. They got exactly what my truck needed to fix the problem. I would recommend these guys over anyone else in the area, bar none.

I am so glad I found a Firestone in town. Traveling, and you know on a cold morning, the stupid light comes on saying I have low tire pressure. But I found this Firestone, and they were very helpful and courteous, and got me back on the road quickly. Shout out to great customer service!

This was such a great experience. I was visiting Shenandoah NP & got a flat tire, well completely busted my tire. I was so upset because I had just gotten 4 brand new tires the day before I left for the trip! I called all around and nobody had my tires in stock, I was going to have to wait at least a day to get them ordered but when we called Mcarthy Tire in Front Royal, VA, it was my lucky day because the manager, Homer, answered the phone and could not have been nicer!! He got my tires the same day and I was able to pick up my car the same day the tire popped. He was sure to get the right tires and made me feel so much better about my accident. His kindness made me wish this was my local tire place. I wish I could have thanked him in person but I picked my car up after hours so Homer, if you see this, thank you SO much!! 10/10 recommend this tire place!

It's not often you find outstanding service, especially in this area and twice in one week! I very rarely post reviews, but was impressed with the caliber of the management and technicians here. These guys are respectful, competent, helpful, and timely. Kudos to Homer, the friendly, down to earth gentleman with attention to detail. These guys know what they're doing and earned a loyal customer with a fleet of family vehicles. Thanks for keeping me and my younger driver's vehicle safe.

We can always get scheduled for service within a short period of time. We have brought our three vehicles to McCarthy tires for many years. Service manager Mr. Homer is always pleasant,straightforward, and informative. Always accommodating and quick service gets us in our way. His work crew compliments him in many ways.

Wonderful Customer Service! My dad and brother have sworn by McCarthy's for years. We found out first hand when our truck needed a front end alignment and inspection. Knowledgeable and friendly staff work hard to make sure you don't wait too long and care about their customers!

The fastest I ve ever gotten an alignment ever! I definitely will be coming back! Everyone that works there is so welcoming and nice. They were able to fit me in last minute when nobody else around town would. I highly recommend this place.

Amazingly professional, affordable and reasonable. Our whole family goes to the McCarthy in Front Royal for everything automotive. They tend to be busy so make an appointment if you can to reduce wait times, but its well worth it. Homer and his crew are the best!

This is the greatest place ever to get excellent, quick service done on your vehicle. The store manager, Homer, had excellent customer service. This was my first time there and felt like family while there. I highly recommend McCarthy's for any of your auto needs.

I was turned away because Mgr and staff doesn't feel comfortable fixing my flat tire due to being so expensive. They do not want to be liable. I didn't know Tesla Model 3 is expensive car. You can get it under 50k. Or they want to be service me because I am not their kind of race. What an a-hole this place is.

Fantastic Experience! First time there and "Homer" made me feel like we had been best friends for life. Fast, efficient and even though we had a small hiccup, he made everything right! Will definitely go back and highly recommend them for your auto needs

I had to go to this Front Royal shop three days in a row to have my car worked on after suffering an unfortunate auto accident. This was my first time visiting McCarthy's and I'm always skeptical when trying new places (mainly because I've been screwed over once to many in my lifetime). However, having said that, I was very happy with the service I got and a young man named Kristian was particularly helpful. I tried to leave him a positive review on the actual company website but I couldn't figure out how to do that, so I'm leaving one here on Google instead. Thanks, Kristian, for your help!

I received exceptional and courteous service from Homer in the Front Royal, VA location. I asked him to take a look a tire that had a sidewall cut in it. I was wondering if it was safe to drive or should be replaced. He was very assuring that I did not need to replace the tire. Given that I was 1,000 miles from home and obviously not a tire expert, many tire stores would have taken advantage of the situation and said I needed to replace the tire (plus of course the other side as well). He said he would drive on it if it was his. I very much appreciated Homer's honesty. If I lived in the area, I would be a customer for life.
