I was visiting family in town. During my 5 hour drive, I experienced a noise in my car. I wanted to get it checked before my drive back in 2 days time. They managed to squeeze me in during the holidays. I am so grateful they found the issue, and fixed it, preventing a catastrophic failure. I made it back to work my shift at the Hospital the next day. Thank you to the entire team for going above and beyond with excellent customer service!!

They were able to take a look at my fiance's car while she was driving through town and developed a strange sound. They were fast, polite, and took good care of her while out of town - highly recommend them!

I've been going to Matthews for about a year or two now and they're always reliable, kind, and genuine people. I use them for almost all of the work on my beloved Toyota; and they are, in my opinion, the best mechanics (and one of the best and most trustworthy businesses) in Front Royal. I definitely recommend them 110%!

Quality of work very poor. Had my downpipe changed a few months ago & been having issues with my car ever since. Took the heatshield off today to check and all the bolts were loose and one was completely broken off. Despite telling the mechanic to use the hardware that came with the downpipe he insisted on using his own. He also said he needed to cut my gasket to make it fit but it was just upside down. No point in going to a shop if your getting second rate work.

The people here are always accommodating. Always willing help and never taking advantage. We need more businesses like this. Businesses with integrity that truly care about their customers. I took my car in to Matthews Auto Center for a Virginia state inspection and oil change. They are absolutely lovely people and did good, quick work on my vehicle. While I was there, I got a quote for some additional work needed and it was a very fair price, so I'll be taking my car back to them for that repair and plan to return for anything else I need in the future. In sum: good prices, good people! There's a reason they are busy!Services: General repairs & maintenance, Oil change

The entire staff at Matthews is consistently polite, helpful and professional. We have used them several times and without any issues at all. In fact one return need was to look at brake rotors which had just been replaced 2 months earlier. Turns out it was a supply chain issue and Matthews replaced them and even upgraded them at no further cost, and apologized for the inconvenience. Excellent customer care, rare in today's world.

Very friendly and accommodating. Matthews does good work. Prices are comparable and often much better than dealership. They will try to work you in and are very good and call backs and price quotes pretty much on the money. If they can't help you they may know who can. I highly recommend them.

Took my vehicle in for an oil change. A month later I'm 3 qts low. I drive maybe once a week, tops, so I know it's not from running it hard. No oil on the ground where it's usually parked. I call them and they can't even tell me what grade of oil they put in. Take it back to them, they say they can't find a leak. Take it to the dealer and pay $300+ for them to also tell me there's no leak.I used to recommend this place to everyone, but now seeing they can't even manage a basic oil change since the management change, I highly recommend you take your vehicle elsewhere.Service: Oil change

My car needed a lot of work and other shops told me it wasn't worth it and priced it pretty high. Matthews checked my car out and found things the other shops missed. The work was very reasonably priced and I have my car back! I feel like my car is safe for the first time in years. I will always go back to Matthews and will recommend it to anyone!

Matthew's does good work at great prices, sometimes invoicing you for less than their initial estimate at the end of the job. They're quick to complete work, as well. They're consistently helpful, honest, and a pleasure to work with. Definitely a shop worth using.

I have been going to Matthew's for years now and can honestly say, there's no other garage I trust with the maintenance of my truck. They were referred to me by a friend and since, I have referred them. Everyone that works there is knowledgeable, honest and has proven to have integrity. These guys were so helpful, we were on our way from Florida to New Hampshire and were having a issue with our truck and they took it in right away even though they were swamped. Then looked over the whole truck greased some joints and gave some advice and didn't charge anything. Outstanding people with great integrity, I highly recommend.

One of the best shops in Front Royal. They'll take good care of you for a good price and on time! My family has been coming here for every car problem for over 8 years and we've never had an issue!

I've taken all of my vehicles to Matthew's for the last 15 years and I'll never take them anywhere else as long as I live within an hour's drive. They're honest, fast, thorough, skilled, very affordable, and very nice to work with. We've had 'em work on a BMW, a Mercedes, Jeeps, Nissan's, Subaru's, Fords... and we've never had an issue they couldn't resolve. Howard and his staff have been fantastic to us over the years.

Great place! Finally a truly honest and reliable auto shop. They keep it real. I have taken my older vehicle in and they give an honest estimate and they will not perform work until you are fully aware of what it may involve. Always friendly and accommodating. I won't go anywhere else. Try them....you won't be disappointed.

Nothing but nice things to say about these guys. Friendly, fair and honest. My fiance took her car here for brakes because she felt it must be that time, and instead of just taking her money they called to tell her it wasn't necessary yet. That told me everything I needed to know about them. Never had a bad experience here.

I couldn t say enough about Matthews. Excellent customer service and very knowledgeable about what needs to be done. We moved here 4 years ago. I was nervous to check out a new car shop. I am so happy to have found Matthews. I would drive from Manassas if we still lived there.
