I went there for a Pre Purchase inspection to see if I should buy a truck. The staff was very pleasant. The auto mechanic did a terrific job explaining everything that he saw. Great service. Better value.

Economy auto repair is most honest,professional,quality and affordable repair shops that I've ever used in my 45 years of car ownership. They actually tell you when you don't need a service that you thought you needed. I'm not use to not getting soaked for every dollar possible like repair shops in my past. I no longer live in the Front Royal area but have and will continue to only use Economy. So worth it. Thank you so much.Services: Electrical repair, General repairs & maintenance, Brakes

I took my car here for a simple job to have a new rear bearing and spindle pressed in on my 2005 Subaru Forester. We had all the new parts already. What should have taken a few hours turned into 2 weeks of holding my car claiming that the assembly on the car was bad and that they couldn't find used parts to replace it. Every time we asked for an exact name for the needed part so we could start looking, they said something different. When I asked them to just contact the dealership for a part number so I could order it, they claimed the dealer didn't have anything anymore for a 15 yr old car. They finally got a used part, never even put new parts in (but they were missing all the gaskets and boxes so they couldn't be returned). I asked them for my original parts back, and they had cut out a whole lot more than they needed to in order to do the bearing,including the sensor.

These folks are great, and they re very honest. I feel very comfortable, dropping my car off with an unknown problem. I know that they re going to be fair and reasonable and today was no exception. Very nice! From out of state. My engine light came on. They did a diagnostic test and confirmed it was a leak in the evac system, but safe to drive. Very helpful !

Brought a car I was considering purchasing in to get a second opinion. I was met with unmatched friendliness and helpfulness. They are incredibly honest and I got so much good advice both about the car I was looking at and general car shopping and maintenance. A mechanic took it for a test drive for me and brought me back a list of what would need to be fixed and how much it would cost. It was incredibly cheap too- best 35 dollars I ever spent. Probably saved me 2500 if I had bought the car. Cannot recommend enough.

They are very good people and very honest. They are very knowledgeable about their work. And when it comes to car problems, they just simply and upfrontly say what it is; even frankly if needed, none of that diplomacy bull you see from big-name places and dealers (especially dealers who's trying to extract a few of your mortgage payments by using diplomacy) though they remain respectful. I've taken my cars there for service quite a few times over the years.

This place is great! I needed a new alternator, and I was getting no heat from the passenger side. Which meant that I couldn t defrost the right half of my windshield, which could be dangerous! They replaced my alternator, a mode door and a blend door in the dash, all in three hours, and for well under $1000! Actually, at first they replaced just the blend door (which was clicking and broken) in the dash and when I went to leave after only two hours of work, the heat still wasn t working. I went back in and they were super nice about it, as I had to leave in an hour. The receptionist went out and picked up the mode door herself, instead of waiting for it to come, and they replaced it in an hour with literally a couple minutes to spare before I had to leave! Customer service was great! They all were very nice and explained very well what was wrong with my car. They said I was extremely lucky they could access the mode door and the blend door from behind the glove box! Usually with other cars they said you have to take apart the entire dash and it s a 8 to 12 Hour Job.

This place is AWESOME! We arranged to drop off our Chevy Silverado with them before going on a 10 day trip thinking that it would take about that long to fix the repairs, and we were expecting to spend around $1,500. However, they called us two days into the trip and fixed the many issues we had for only around $900. They also went above and beyond and took the truck back to the dealership to be reinspected for us (and it passed) without us even mentioning it to them!The owners here are incredible - honest, efficient, reliable, friendly, and knowledgeable!Highly recommend!

We were leaving town after a vacation when our car broke down. This shop is the only one that would help us on the same day, so we wouldn t be stranded overnight on our anniversary. Mary and Eric helped us out and in just a couple of hours, our car is working great and we can continue in our way! They were also very honest about the repair and their rates were really reasonable too. Thanks so much!

My car was towed on Thursday and they said they wouldn t be able to look at it until Friday and I got a call Thursday evening that it was completed! Their prices are very very reasonable

I don't live out here, but if I did, this would be the only place I'd go to for auto repairs. I took my Dodge Ram here in the morning, they identified the problem right away, had the parts delivered, and fixed it, all while I waited. I had been prepared to leave it there and come back for it at the end of the day, but they were done within the hour. The lady running the office was very friendly. The man who test drove my truck and identified the problem didn't say much but he knew what he was doing because my truck rides nice and smooth now. Overall great experience. I travel the country for work and let me tell you, there are a lot of people out there who will try to get as much money as they can out of you and half the time, not even fix the problem. Not these guys. They didn't try to up-sell me anything and the bill was cheap. Quality work, good attitude, and affordable. Very satisfied and if I ever have problems while I'm out here again, they'll definitely be the ones I go to.

Great small-town auto repair shop! They charge by the "book" price, and only $60/hr. Just for comparison our dealer charges $125/hr. If you are reading this review, looking for a great honest auto repair shop... you just fount it!!! I have been taking our cars here since 2014.

Called Economy Auto Repair after the dealership in town gave me an insane quote. Economy took our car in immediately and fixed the issue in about 5 minutes! So happy I found them. Very impressed with the customer service & fair price.

I moved to the area in 2015 and drive about 100,000 a year. This shop has taken VERY good care of my needs. They are very honest, friendly and hard working people doing whatever it takes to make sure that I am on the highway. One of my three vehicles that they maintain has, at the time of this post, over 435,000 miles on it.

Best mechanics around. Very reasonable pricing at only $60/hr. They were very honest and didn t try fixing things that didn t need fixed just to make more money off of me. Won t be taking my car anywhere but here!

Unbelievably good service. We were passing through on a trip and had trouble with our van. They took us right in. They fixed our problem, and didn't charge anywhere near as much as I know I would have been charged elsewhere. If I lived closer they would definitely be my repair shop. Oh, and they were really, really friendly too!

Replace a timing belt in my car.,water pump also.They chared me full price ,did not replace the right antifreeze. After acking them to from the beginning. The compression was wrong,turbo engine wouldn't pull a hill. Went to another Mechanic to have it done. Right compression pink antifreeze. Paid full price there, they got the job done. Would not recommend to anybody. Sad how I was ripped off.

Two years ago my car stalled on 66. I had the vehicle towed to Economy Auto who later informed me that the car s engine had seized. I asked, are you 100% sure? They replied yes. I eventually had the car towed back to my house where it sat until today as my wife and I did not have the money to put a new engine in the car. We decided to donate it to Kars 4 Kids, they came today to pick it up and tow it away. The tow driver jumped the car so he could get it in neutral and during that process discovered that the car did, in fact, RUN! I am absolutely furious, had this business had given me an accurate diagnosis I would have had the oil leak fixed and I would not have been out a vehicle! Yay.Service: General repairs & maintenance
