I took my 1970 Nova to Southern classic for body work and front end work. After considering a few shops I decided on Southern Classic and I am glad I did. Olaf (who I could talk to for hours about cars ) and his team went over my car meticulously from front to back letting me know of issues they found. They went above and beyond to get my car right and recommended some suspension work that I will be taking my car back soon to have done. They custom fitted a new front fender, fixed some chips on the hood as well as matched and blended the color so well you can t tell. They were very honest and upfront with me about the repairs needed and my car was ready when estimated. The cost of the work was very reasonable and to be honest less than expected.

I reached out to Olaf regarding a fuel leak on my 70 442 one weekend and he promptly emailed me back to bring it by that upcoming Monday. I ended up leaving the car that day for the repair and a good look over.Olaf and his team were meticulous and thorough when looking the car over. Olaf understood that I didn t have the funds readily available to do all the listed repairs. His mechanic prioritized the needed repairs so that when I could do the repairs, I d know what to start with.Olaf was very easy to talk to and I felt like he was very honest and forthcoming with every question I had. Highly recommended!

Took my 1970 Nova to Olaf for body alignment and trim installation that needed to be done because another shop who painted the car could not complete it to my standard. Olaf took the time to talk to me about what he sees wrong and worked with me on a budget to correct what the other shop did. Within a short time they were able to make things as right as they could be without going down a deep rabbit hole and this was discussed as things came up. It s great to do business with someone with open communication and does what they say they are going to do. Great place and they will have a future customer with me.Service: Body & Trim

Exceptional work performed by a professional staff! Very impressive workmanship on all metal repair and the high quality paint job is "Out of this World" gorgeous. My 1966 Shelby Clone is a rotisserie restore and the undercarriage received the same quality workmanship as the body.I'm so glad I brought my car to Southern Classics! Every penny spent in the course of bringing this 55 year old car back to "factory condition" will help to ensure it last another 55 years if not longer.Thanks to Olaf and crew for a superb job and all the advice as I continue to put my car together to enjoy for many years to come.Services: Painting, Body & Trim

From what I seen, the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Olaf so far seems to be a very honest guy, and their work is absolutely amazing! I can't wait for them to start my Classic Mustang!!!*Update to my first review*So good so far, I couldn't be happier with the transparency and the work I've had done so far by Olaf and his team. We've still got a ways to go so I'll continue with updates as the build continues.

I was referred to Southern Classics and couldn t be happier with the results. Olaf and his staff are great. From the first moment I walked in Olaf took as much time as I needed to address all my concerns and talk about what I wanted to achieve with the work I was having him do on my 73 Mach 1. I never felt rushed out of the place. When he wasn t there his staff would stop what they were doing and took as much time as I needed to answer all my questions on the progress of the work being done on my car. The care they took to go the extra mile and give me top quality work while charging a very fair price, in fact lower than anyone else I spoke to, was appreciated. And the fact that Olaf would stop me from doing work that I wanted to do, that he believed was unnecessary even though it cost him some business shows his quality of character and work ethics as a business owner who wants to maintain a strong continuing relationship with his customers. If you have a classic car, or any car for that matter, that you need quality work completed in an honest and cost conscious manner then Southern Classics is the only place you need to go and Olaf Herrick is the only person you need to work with. The photos are before and after just some of the work Southern Classics completed on my car. What can I say. Olaf and his team are the best. He helped me about 6 years or so ago to restore 1966 plymouth satellite. It is wonderful. He has now helped me with my 2006 Chevy silverado 3500 Drw. Again a wonderful job. I would recommend him to everybody

My company has used them for body work before but I needed to have my personal vehicle restored after tree damage. I just want to let everyone know they were great to deal with. James, in particular, was always communicative, made every effort to let me know what the status was all the time, flexible with my requests and always helpful. His crew did a very good job and really restored everything better than hoped.I can wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone.Services: Painting, Body & Trim

I am going to be 100% honest. Everything didn't go perfectly smooth with the repair of my 1970 Olds Cutlass, but the owner Olaf made sure to take the time to correct the issues to exceed my expectations. Like any great business owner, he takes pride in the quality of work that comes out of his shop. He is very nice, personable, and hardworking. His work ethic is admirable and quality/skill remarkable.Like me, your repair might not go 100% according to plan (sometimes that is par for the course with an old car), but have patience. With Southern Classics you can have the peace of mind that it will be done right in the end.I give my highest recommendation, especially for vintage/antique cars.P.S. Anyone who says any of these employees are rude. (other comments I read below), is 100% lying. I was NEVER treated with anything but kindness and respect by every single soul who worked in that building. James, the woman at the front desk, and Olaf were all very kind, professional, personable, and respectful on all occasions.Service: Painting

I recently brought my mustang to Southern Classics for some significant repair work. This is not my first time doing business with Southern as I have brought my other vehicles in as well. Did a fantastic job welding the frames of my 2001 Silverado and 2006 Corolla allowing me to pass the state inspection and keep the old clunkers on the road for a few more years. Had a 1986 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham completely overhauled and restored. It was a family car with a lot of sentimental value. Olaf and his team did a phenomenal job from start to finish. When it comes to trusting someone to do a job like this, or in my opinion any other work on a vehicle, you will not find a better place.

I took my truck in because someone backed into my bumper. The work was performed and the outcome was great. The owner went above and beyond to ensure the work was to my expectations. I will bring my other vehicles in if needed.

My husband and I had an old ford truck taken to olaf s shop to have extensive work done like body work and mechanical work. My husband was a marine stationed in quantico at the time our truck was taken there. Fast forward a bit...my husband got out of the core and we moved back to Michigan. However the truck wasn t ready so we left it there to continue being worked on. The work Olaf and his staff did seemed to be good while we were in Virginia but it all seemed to go down hill when we left.We got the truck transported to Michigan after we were told it was ready. I ll never forget the condition it was in when we picked it up. We had to fix MANY things before we could even drive it home.Olaf also sent the trucks transmition off to be rebuilt at another shop which was a waste of time and money. Our truck is now at another shop getting the same work RE DONE because it was done wrong and caused a bunch of other issues.I m so so so disappointed as we really like Olaf and his team...

Had my car brought in for some body work and received outstanding service that went above and beyond my expectations. Don't know much about cards but when I came in the lady at the desk treated me with utmost respect and was super helpful with what I needed done. Most importantly my car looks great!

I like the way the owner let me pick the level of work to be done and to opt. out of things I can do myself. We have already completed one project together and have started another. Terrible customer service. I would rather pay double the price to any other company than have to deal with a single soul at this business- especially the owner. Do yourselves a favor and just go somewhere else. The price will be the same, the quality of work will be the same, and you might actually talk to someone with some people skills.
