Great experience here. The mangers are friendly and helpful. The technicians are very good. If you have a German car, bring it here for service and repair. You won't be disappointed.Specifically, I called weeks after they repaired my BMW to check on an unrelated issue. The manager took my question to his technician while I was in hold. They got me an answer quickly. He could have easily said "bring it in, we'll take a look." But he didn't. He took care of my issue over the phone. That's good service that isn't interested in taking every dollar they can.

This shop is great! I have always received great service and today was no different. Scott is a great addition to an amazing staff. He helped me out in a pinch when I stopped over my lunch hour. My car was giving me an engine coolant notification which got me a little anxious about continuing to drive it. 10 minutes later, notification off, problem fixed and I was headed back to work. I have recommended this shop to many people and will continue to do so. Thank you Scott!

I have driven all over this country for 60 years and have never received better service anywhere. My 10 year old BMW drives and looks like new. I was not sure I would ever find an auto shop that I completely trusted, and now, finally I have. My last repair was completed expeditiously and they returned it so clean that they saved me from paying for an overdue detailing. I love these people and you will too.

The customer service I received was exceptional. Will broke down everything to me so that I understood what my vehicle needed and most importantly the why. All of the staff were very professional and courteous. This was my first time bringing my BMW for service and I will be returning. I didn't feel that this service center was a nickel and dimer. I felt that I was in good hands and this is coming from a woman. Most shops see a female and try to get one over on us.... not this place.

The best foreign car repair in the area. Professional, timely, proficient and reasonable pricing. They saved me $1700 compared to the quote BMW gave me. As long as I drive a foreign car they will do all my repairs. Thanks Bobby and the crew. S.Simmons

Wow! I had extensive repairs required for my 2004 BMW Z4! Scott was professional in leading me through the decision process, carefully explained my options and kept me informed throughout the repair process. The quality of the work was top shelf and I'm very pleased with the outcome. I'll definitely continue with maintenance performed by International Auto Specialist! These folks actually live their Mission Statement of "Leadership, Integrity and Quality".Services: Tires, General repairs & maintenance, Engine repair, Wheel alignment, Brakes, Oil change

I would highly recommend international auto. these guys are the best. it's hard to find a kind and honest auto shop. these guys are good at their job. they know what they are doing and I always know my car is being well taken care of by them. we've been using them for years now for our bow m3 and have never been disappointed. recently they fixed a problem we were having that the dealership hadn't been able to fix. I am so happy to have a place in town that can take care of my bmw.

So far so good, had an annual inspection done here. They were honest and my car passed. I will patronize this business again the future (Lord willing).

A little expensive, but definitely cheaper than the dealership.I took my 2016 MINI Cooper Countryman here for regular servicing, state inspection, and a new thermostat. Total was about ~$800. But very kind people, very considerate, and communicative.If you have a BMW or MINI in FXBG, I definitely recommend!Update 8/9 - I've now taken my MINI to IAS for regular servicing and major repairs, the latest of which was a new clutch and flywheel. Not cheap repairs, but less than half the price of the stealership's quote for just the clutch. Wonderful staff like Aaron and Bobby make every visit there a pleasure, even if there is a chunk gone from my wallet. Tis the price I pay for having the car I have, though. Their pricing is more than fair, and their availability has always been a saving grace... I've never had to drive with my car in an unsafe condition. 5 stars, without reservation. You can't ask for a better mechanic shop, especially in Central/Northern Virginia.

If you ever need service for your import car this is the place to go. I had repairs done to my Mini Cooper this week and the service was better than any service I have ever received from any repair shop. Bobby was the service advisor who looked after my car. He was in constant contact with me explaining what needed to be done and the cost. If there was a delay Bobby would call me and advise me of the delay without making excuses. I was promised the car back on Friday and it was repaired and ready to go on Friday. Both Bobby and Will are a great asset to this company and I am delighted a friend referred me to them. Top notch service , great atmosphere and down to earth honest human beings. Some car repair shops will try to get a customer to replace things that are not broken and cannot not be trusted. International Auto Specialists cannot not be beaten. Any repair work needed on my Mini in the future will sjurely be done here.

Great customer service but more importantly greater people. Will, Mike, the whole staff are honest real people. They know what they are doing and will make sure your car runs at its best. Your car is in very great hands if you use there services. My loyalty is with you all. Thanks guys.

Literally blown away by the professionalism and care International Auto Specialists provides to their customers. Everyone that works there is the absolute kindest and they explain everything to you. I got my car fixed, washed, detailed, and I was even assisted with safely backing out of the parking lot. I will be bringing my car here forever and ever. I highly recommend this shop.

Love them. I have been taking my Mini Cooper there for five years and have been impressed with their competence and integrity. I especially like Will but frankly all the staff and mechanics are good.

I have been coming to this business for a few years. They are honest and I trust them with my BMW and now my Porsche. I will say this-some parts for our cars are not cheap! That's just the nature of the beast so to speak! Look for folks you can trust and who have been around.

Very friendly staff and owner. Clean waiting area. Explanation about my car and maintenance was explained better than the dealership. Would definitely recommend.

I'm not sure of my experience yet. They have had my car for over a month now and I am not quite sure why and what is going on. I am hoping they will be noble and reduce the costs of repairs due to this great inconvenience. The guy told me that they were good and I trusted him.

Went here to diagnose a noise coming from behind the rear of my 325I BMW. Took in total 2 trips to diagnose the problem. The first was free and believed it to be the back right wheel done by Bob Shorke the owner. He made some modifications and was unable to reproduce the should but I was. I came back 2 weeks later with an appointment for an oil change and to solidify a time slot for a real diagnoses. Kevin discovered that it was a rear driveshaft joint locking up and they were unable to fix it and needed to replace the entire drive shaft.So okay. I did some research after I left and figured I would replace Flex Joint at least and get it confirmed while I do it. So I schedule a 3rd appointment with the primary agenda being to replace the Flex Joint and once they have already taken my drive shaft out they discover the Flex Joint they ordered is the wrong fit.So they don't replace and basically tell me what they told me on the 2nd appointment(which I believed them, I wanted to have my flex joint and possible center support bearing replaced and while we were in the area physically see my drive shaft).I have emails detailing my intent. At the end of the day I took leave day off work to have the joint replaced. Got charged 241 dollars and told they're not gonna replace my flex joint.It's two stars cause I like the people that work there. But this three figure charge for a part I wanted replaced not being replaced by fault of whomever ordered the part is dirty business.I have worked out with the shop a means to address the miscommunication. Leaving this comment here as an indication to clarify 100% what you're reason for bringing your vehicle in is.

Bob the owner and Will the manager are just fantastic. They go out of their way to make the customer happy and their quality of service is top notch. I can't say enough good things about the entire operation. Truly top notch.

WOMEN BEWARE of this RIP-OFF company. They charged me $1000 MORE than the job was worth and CANNOT BE TRUSTED for their repair costs or the quality of their parts. Here's what happened:In March 2014, I took my car in for a repair at International Auto Specialist (IAS).- They evaluated the car and estimated a repair cost of $1700. This involved replacing an ABS Control Module in my 528i BMW.- When I went to pick up my car, I noticed the letters RMFD written after the description of the part I d had replaced. I told them I wanted a new part & was informed that this part always comes as a remanufactured part .- I thought the price of $1300 was a lot to pay for a remanufactured part. I found brand new parts from Bosch for as little as $400.- I contacted the office manager at IAS again and demanded a new part replacement. He responded that IS a new part in your car although it says remanufactured I made a mistake there s no way to replace it because it s programmed to your car .- The part IAS put in my car failed within 10 miles of driving. I had it removed by another service company & returned the failed part to IAS demanding my money back. They resisted but ended up refunding money FOR THE PART ONLY and NOT FOR THE LABOR of putting the defective part in.- I bought a new part and had it replaced by the other service company. I took my car back to IAS for programming since I d already paid for this service. My original replaced part with the BMW logo sitting on my passenger seat WAS TAKEN & REPLACED with another part that DID NOT have the logo.
