Me and my boyfriend brought his car in to get a loaded steering knuckle replaced as well as a tie rod brakes rotors and regular maintenance. They charged us for the work but never preformed the work. The wheel on the car almost fell off the vehicle. There was no oil in the car and all parts that were replaced where all original to the car rusted on and damaged. When I went to speak with them about what they did to fix it they gave me an attitude and told me that I never brought the vehicle to them and that I don t know what I m talking about. I had the receipt from them in my hand as well as bank statements stating it was paid. My boyfriend commutes from dahlgren to south point almost every day and could have been in a severe accident that could have in turn hurt other people just because of the negligence of this shop. Mind you the owner has been shut down numerous times before due to this negligence issue. They are not reliable nor are they trustworthy. Do not bring your vehicle to them unless you don t care about your safety. They are corrupt and they scam you out of your money.Service: Steering & suspension repair

I went in for an oil change, bringing my own oil and filter at the beginning of the week. I came as soon as they opened and the older gentlemen immediately took my keys and said he can do it. I was thrilled because I didn t have to wait for very long.He finished in about 20 minutes, and I paid $30 and felt like nothing wrong happened.3 days later, as I m driving on the back road home, my oil completely spilled out because of a leak and I was left stranded on the side of the road. I had to wait 4 hours for a tow truck. When I finally got my car to be taken to another auto shop to fix, they said that whoever did my oil change, didn t tighten it completely, causing it to spill everywhere. Luckily no huge amount of damage happened but if I had driven further, it would ve cost me thousands of dollars.I typically don t write bad reviews, but this is to warn others to not come here. A very careless mistake that could ve caused much worse.Do. Not. Go. Here. Read the other negative reviews, they are all true.Service: Oil change

While on a road trip I got a screw stuck in my tire. These gentlemen were able to get my car in, tire patched and out the door in less than 20 minutes. Amazing service!

Went in for safety inspection. Got rejected because breaks are bad/low, as they said..they wanted to get my breaks done yet i told them id ask my husband...so I had someone else take a lookfor me..when he took the breaks apart noticed breaks had lots of meat on them and rotors good. I had purchased new breaks and rotors so had my husband put them in. Upset people out there don't do honest work...Service: General repairs & maintenance

While I ve been dealing with this business for more than 11 years, I ve never made a complaint or had any issues beforehand. My 3-star review is for a recent service only. Recently my fianc took one of my vehicles for a state inspection. While gas was at an all time high, he noticed one of the employees had left my vehicle running the entire time was performing the inspection. It wasn t the owner for sure but one of the newbies. Not sure if this was a mistake or not but he definitely wasted fuel that day. Aside from that, we ve received pretty good service.Service: Vehicle safety inspection

This place really saved me. I have a 2007 Jeep Cherokee. I was dropping my kids off at a birthday party in Central Park and my battery light came on. I am electrically savvy, figured it was the alternator. I was able to limp my Jeep to Greenbrier off battery power. The manager came out, diagnosed the problem, gave me a solid timeframe and quote and actually had it fixed in 4 hours.Very amazing. This was on a Sunday. Every big shop I called quoted me about the same in price but about 4 days for the fix. The manager is very effective. Give this place a chance, I will be very happy to return for my mechanic needs!Service: General repairs & maintenance

Be aware: Greenbrier does not have labor warranty, which allows them to stretch out repairs and charge hundreds of dollars each time you go back to have something fixed that they should have fixed the first time. Many auto repair shops do have 30 day or even one year labor warranties. Find those auto repair shops and don't go with Greenbrier. Background:My dad went to get the a/c fixed on our 2010 Ford Edge on September 2, 2021 and paid $1,138.38 to get a new compressor and valves. The a/c still wasn't working after that and he had to pay another $626.54 for an a/c condenser. Since the weather had cooled by end of September, my dad really didn't have to use the a/c that much and so he thought the problem was solved. When the weather starts heating up in May 2022, we realize the a/c isn't working again. Greenbrier says the problem is the new a/c compressor they installed in September 2021 that they got from Autozone is not working. The a/c compressor is covered under parts warranty but not labor warranty. We have to pay another $333.30 to get it fixed. They call us on June 3, 2022, and say the a/c is fixed. I pick up the car and the a/c is blowing out warm air. The mechanic and the owner leave the car running for 30 minutes and check gas levels, but seem confused as to what the problem is. I decide to leave after waiting an hour. They tell me they will look at it. Three days pass and I still have not received a call from Greenbrier. I call them myself and they say come pick up the car because the a/c is now fixed. On June 6, my dad picks up the car, but he calls me and says the a/c is still not fixed. It's blowing out warm air.I call Greenbrier back several times, but the mechanic who picks up tells me the owner is not in right now. Finally, I am able to reach the owner and he tells me (over the phone without seeing the car), there is probably another problem with the a/c. I am now disputing the charge with my credit card company.I would never recommend Greenbrier automotive to anyone.Service: A/C installation & repair

Stay away from this place. I did my car state inspection and failed. Guy told me i had to replace my roto brake front and back because it's rusted according to him. I went to different repair shop to replace and they told there's nothing wrong with it. On the side of my wife story, they were gonna fail her state inspection because of windshield wiper but there's nothing wrong with it either.

They are a complete fraud auto repair shop. An example of what they do: If you go there for an small repair, they will either break or steal other parts of your vehicle and ask you to pay for repairing it. Specially the elder guy, he is the mastermind of all their fraudulent.

I'm still on the fence as to whether I'll continue to have my cars serviced here. I really wasn't pleased with the work done on brakes of 2 cars...squeaking on one and a dealership told me I probably need to have the rotors shaved down on the other car. Waiting to see the results and findings of another issue before I give a final rating. If not satisfied this time, I will have to find someone who specializes in the make of my car.Service: Brakes

Terrible! They Gave Me a Estimate of $1,445... well on that estimate I didn t need things that they claimed I did. For ex. they told me I needed a rack &pinnion which I did NOT... I knew I didn t because I ve had this truck a few years and Not Too long ago Jeep just replaced my whole suspension because I was still under warranty. There were other things I did NOT need. I m glad I got a 2nd opinion And had my truck looked over thoroughly... just terrible I m new here and just went by reviews.. I won t do that again!Services: Exhaust, Steering & suspension repair, General repairs & maintenance

Unfortunately, my rating for this place changed to 1 star after coming back. I went back to have them fix my fog lightbulbs because they were missing. In them checking which lightbulbs I needed, they did not have them in stock. So, they were not able to fix the problem, which was fine. A few weeks later I noticed that the fog light wiring, and plastic covering had not been put back into place. I went back to talk with the staff. In trying to explain that the mechanic may have forgotten to snap the covering back in place I was informed that I could not point the blame on them and that I brought my car to them like that before anyone even looked at it. Then he proceeded to argue with me about something so trivial. I did not care that they forgot to close it back, but it turned into a big issue. I spoke with the manager after leaving and was informed to come back and I re-explained the issue. I do not know if they thought I was saying that they took my fog lightbulbs and that was not the case. All I needed them to do was close back the housing that secures the fog light area that was not done initially. I do not appreciate the condescending tone I received in going there. Both the mechanic and manager began insulting me after fixing the problem, the manager told me that this was his punishment for trying to help someone, I do not know why he was so upset all I requested was for them to snap the cover back because of something they left undone from coming there. And again, that was not a big deal for me. The staff and manager were not professional in speaking with their customers. I have not felt so insulted by someone - I was basically called a liar and they felt like they were doing me a favor, all I wanted was my undercarriage cover snapped back into place that they forgot to close. This was a horrible experience and I do not recommend anyone to go here for service.

They are rip off, they take advantage of my inexperienced kid to make unnecessary work orders for head lights that are not broken and working. Will Never recommend this place for anybody and will never go back there for nothing.

I had a flat this morning on the way to work and it was about 7:15 when I limped into their lot. There were 2 gentleman in the garage who were very kind and quick to help me. They were not even technically open but we re beyond nice and very fast to help me. I was back on the road within 15-20 mins!Service: TiresService: Tires

Went there for a state inspection, based on word of mouth and google reviews. They all lied. We got the car there right when they opened at 8 am. By 3:00 pm we had not heard anything. My husband called and they said it wasn't ready because there was an issue. We'd just had work done on the car, to prepare it to have a positive inspection!! My husband, who knows about cars, couldn't even understand what the man was telling him the problem was. Partially due to a heavy accent and partially because he'd just never heard of it before. The employee said it would cost LESS than $800!! We never heard anything more that night. The next day, around noon, my husband called and now they said it would be about $890. In the USA $890 is not LESS than $800. We still don't even know what we're paying to have done!! Absolutely avoid this place at all costs, or it could end up costing you big time!!
