We were traveling South on I 95 when we blew a coil pack and spark plug in our truck. Steven faithfully fixed our truck making sure that all of his repairs were correct and would last. We were able to get back on our travels safely. He didn't overcharge us even though he knew it was an emergency fix. Steven and his crew were professional and they run a clean shop. Hopefully, we won't need their services again, but if we do, we will go to them without hesitation.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Bottom line: I ve found my go-to mechanic.Brought my 2014 Silverado to Steve and Joe for a complete fluid change, spark plug replacement, and suspension upgrade. Not only were their prices competitive (see what I did there), the work was top notch and they took the time to explain everything to a simple artilleryman. My truck drives better now than it did 100k miles ago when I bought it.You won t get any talk of blinker fluid refills or flux capacitor overhauls here, just great work at a great price.

Steven, the owner, is a great guy and works very hard. I ve been taking my car to him for about 3 years, and he just did several repairs on a used car I recently purchased. He is knowledgeable and explains things in a way that anyone can understand. He shows me exactly what the issues are, and looks out for his clients as people, not money. He is the first person I recommend and he is so efficient, the experience is so much better than any chain auto shops.

Just went here to get my transmission fluid replaced. Not only was I extremely impressed with the kind and considerate service Steve offered, but he got us in and out in a fraction of the promised time. He quoted us directly based on parts from our car and even replaced the filter! I've also had nagging questions about my car that I've brought to all the other auto shops I've been to in the past 2 years with no answer. Today I got all my questions answered clearly and honestly for the first time. In short, fabulous. Thank you so much!

August 16, 2019 Upon traveling from PA to VA to visit family, I had stopped in Fredericksburg to fill up. When getting back into my car I found that my steering had gone out. My car was towed to Steve's garage that evening. He had called me to go over his findings, although he was not equipped to do all the work that it needed as it was a warranty repair , he was helpful and called me to explain exactly what happened to the steering. I highly recommend Steve and Competition Automotive Repair LLC for repair needs. Thank you Steve!

So far I've only talked to the owner but as an ex mechanic myself, I'm impressed. Prices in line for area. My son has a 65 Mustang that's far from stock/original that will probably go there soon as well as wife's 08 Chevy

I only take my cars to Steven. The reason I continue to come to him is because he has always been honest. He will not give you a list of recommendations unless they are truly necessary, his pricing has always been fair, and he stands behind his work.

STEVEN, IS WITHOUT QUESTION, IS THE MOST HONEST MECHANIC I HAVE EVER USED. HE IS MORE CONCERNED ABOUT THE CLIENT, NOT THE ALL MIGHTY DOLLAR. WE HAVE BEEN USING HIM FOR A COUPLE OF YEARS NOW, AND HE NEVER TRIES TO BAIT HIS CUSTOMERS WITH FALSE DIAGNOSTICS, OR UPSELL THEM ON SOMETHING THAT THEY DON'T NEED. I WOULD RECOMMEND HIM TO ANYONE THAT IS LOOKING FOR A "HONEST" MECHANIC.
