***UPDATE*** reading my old review is embarrassing. I had a lot of work done on one of my vehicles here. Paul "SEEMED" to always be on the up and up. However, I had some trouble with the brake work done on one of my vehicles at this place, after paying close to $2k You'd expect your brakes to be squared away for the next 3-5 years with regular driving. The pads started squealing not even 6 months after being replaced. I brought it back. Paul told me that his mechanic put on cheap pads. Well, not even a few months after that, THEN, the rotor started to warp. NOW, when coming to a stop the car bucks and squeals. The work done, NEW ROTORS, CALIPERS, LINES and PADS, not even two years ago. The car is bucking and wobbling when brakes are applied and squeals like a pig. There's no way, with regular nonaggressive driving, that my rotors are already warped and pads squealing. My brakes are the WORST I have ever experienced in over 25 years of driving on over a dozen cars I have owned. Was really hoping I found a good place to bring my vehicles that would work on and treat them the way I would if I had time. I'll do what I should have done change them myself this time. Brauning Automotive is excellent - went for an emissions and state inspection this am, and their tech's car broke down on the way to work. I was there when they opened, and, while there was an issue, had someone at my window within a minute of my arrival to let me know the situation and wait time. Their waiting room has super comfortable armchairs, so much so I fell asleep within a minute or two of sitting down. Front desk staff is remarkably pleasant. Been there multiple times now, and have never regretted it. Just good people.

My family has been using Brauning for years. They are a great automotive repair shop. They let you know what s going on and customer service is amazing!!!! Even if I have a new car, I ll go to Brauning. Great place to have your vehicle inspected. Very personable and inviting atmosphere. I went there to get an emissions test done. I didn't realize that they don't take credit cards for emission. The owner trusted me to go to a nearby ATM to get cash after the inspection was complete. Great customer service!

We found Brauning not long after moving to Stafford County and needing to get an inspection done. Then we took my wife's car for some engine issues. Paul (the owner) was honest with us and told us not to have any repairs done, but to just drive it till it gives out, as the repairs would be more expensive than it was worth. A mechanic who doesn't try to rip you off? Unbelievable!Paul is as honest a mechanic as I've ever had, and we take all our auto work to him now. Everything from oil changes and tire rotations to replacing the entire back end of our old pickup. Brauning Automotive is awesome. Honest, trustworthy service is the norm. No scams, no unneeded sales pitches, just friendly dependable service. Paul and the rest of the team always deliver and that's why I send all my friends there with confidence that they will treat them right. Wonderful place. I've had all good experience with them. Everyone there, especially the Owner are very nice, great customer service, I highly recommend Brauning to everyone. If anyone is having vehicle problems, or in the future, call on Brauning. You'll won't be disappointed.

Good experience...honest and straight-forward management along with salaried conscientious employees. I got a four-wheel laser alignment on my Charger which a local dealership quoted me about $90 more. Glad reputable shop is less than a couple miles from my home. I have been a mechanic for about 40 years I just didn't have use of an alignment machine.

This place is awesome! I live down here on my own so I wasn't able to drop my car off and leave. He said that I would be waiting a while but he finished my inspection within the hour! Highly recommend!

My wife feels very comfortable with the staff compared to other local businesses that made her feel like she was a nuisance. Paul and the staff are always friendly and make her feel like part of the family . Thanks for the 4 years of service and keeping us going.

If I want my vehicle's to run at their top performance, this shop is the one I'll drive an extra 20 miles. Hands down.Paul knows the automotive business and the shop is above industry standards in cleanliness.

my wife went here to have our vehicle inspection and these folks charged her 30 bucks for 2 signal light bulbs. Lady's be careful don't let them get over on you. I just wished she had called me before she paid that

I have been looking for a mechanic for a while. I have found it here. I've brought my vehicles here for various reasons, and have always done an outstanding job. Great service and very friendly to boot. Highly recommended!

I hate to leave bad reviews but beware of this place. I took my run around vehicle in because it was sputtering. They diagnosed but didn t get any trouble code reading. They suggested I change spark plugs, wires, and I believe something called cooling packs for $1800. Sounded unbelievably high to me so I called three other local repair shops and they quoted $600-670 including parts. I denied service and then they charged $167 for the diagnostics. That s more than Mercedes charged for my GL450 diagnostics and my drive around car is a Ford. I certainly believe these folks tried to rip me off for sure. Just go somewhere else and save yourself time.

Bought an '87 Chevy Pickup last summer. Had some issues with it and took it to Brauning. They took care of it right away. It can be difficult to find parts for these older trucks but the Manager showed me a website that has virtually every original part if ever needed. I've only taken my vehicles to this location for the last 2 years. Highly recommend.

Very friendly and fast. I took my car for an emissions test and it was done immediately. I did call ahead to see if they were busy and they said bring it right in...was a great experience.

This business is under new management at both the 90 cool springs road and the3401 spotsylvania mall drive. Come in and see us!!!! Specials are going on right now for oil changes, wheel alignments and pretty much everything!! New management will take great care of you and your car without hassle and overly expensive repairs!!!

Went in there for my Truck. They said I needed a new fuel pump and it would cost $1900 to replace. Had a friend look at it and it was a loose hose that cost $2 to fix. They tried to rip me off. Save your money and do not go there!

Great local auto repair shop. Been going to Brauning for 10+ years, good rates, no upselling, honest guys. Wouldn't trust anyone else to work on my vehicles.

I have taken the new car here for some inspection & emissions test and they are always fair, the guy up front is straight up with you and it has an old town shop feel to it
