The staff at the counter are beyond rude. The guy could care less about helping to answer questions (extremely simple questions like - do you have an availability for an oil change today? Response - the calendar is behind me on the wall)If you don't want to be at work, don't show up for workThey have a sign affixed on the front door with their hours listed and as the door closes too fast the hook caught my jacket on the way in and cut a one inch slit in the left arm of the jacket. I told the guy about it and he responded with "that's he first time it's happened and the sign has been there for years"....uhh ok and the rip in my jacket? Dude didn't care at all.Don't even bother coming near this place. Plenty of good options off base. Ridiculous that the base CO would even allow this to continually happen (just read the other reviews)

This shop really disappointed me. I brought my car in for a routine oil change and tire rotation, but they tried to convince me that my rear shocks were leaking and needed replacing. My car is only four years old with 35k miles, and I hadn't noticed any issues before. Thankfully, I got a second opinion from another shop, and they confirmed that my rear shocks were perfectly fine. It's frustrating to feel like I was almost taken advantage of.

I came in for an oil change and was told all my coolant had leaked out of the car and needed a new timing belt and water pump (that I had replaced 7 months prior to this oil change). I took to a Honda Dealer for a second opinion and found out all of the claims that Precision Auto Care told us were completely untrue. Will never return here again and advise others never to bring their cars here for service.

I called last week to make an appointment and the person on the phone was rude. I asked if we would receive an email or text confirmation and his response was no, they just put it in their system and that s it. I dealt with their attitude and my husband goes today for the scheduled appointment only to find out it was never put in the system. My husband waited for an hour and decided to go home because they wouldn t be able to accommodate within a reasonable time. The photo is proof we called last week for the scheduled appointment.

Maybe the techs were having a bad day but their effort was surely lacking and their assessment of my vehicle's needs were WAAAAY off the mark.Last week, after purchasing a used vehicle, I brought it in for an assessment of any/all issues that it might have that I wasn't aware of. I knew it needed an oil change and tires, but otherwise (in my opinion) there wasn't anything major mechanically wrong with it. But hey...I'm not mechanic. That's why I took it to so-called "experts" to check for codes and evaluate the vehicle.First, they called to tell me that the cost of the assessment ($65) plus $64 for an oil change, was going up because they had to evac and recharge the a/c just to check it ($149), then they tacked on another $130 for more diagnostics that needed to be done. I'm also no a/c expert, but in my entire life I have NEVER had someone charge me full evac and recharge rates just to assess the a/c. Irritating, but okay. They're the "experts".When I went to pick up the car, all of a sudden it needs $8,500 worth of work! According to Precision Auto Tune it was virtually falling apart. The rack and pinion linkage was supposedly bad, as were the struts and the a/c system! You name it, they said it was bad! Never mind the fact that the vehicle had been conveyed there with no incidents, or noise from underneath the hood and no issues, funky vibrations on the highway or when making turns. The rack and pinion was supposedly badly leaking and in dire need of high cost repairs. There was also allegedly an evap leak that would have to be hunted down and repaired. Code after code. He just rattled on and on. Uh-huh. Sure buddy! I kindly paid them for the (ahem) work they performed and left.Fast forward to a few days later, and I took the vehicle to Baird Automotive here in Arlington. Their techs gave it the once over, and holy cow....their only assessment of repair was that the A/C condenser was indeed going bad. I SPECIFICALLY asked them if the rack/pinion, or the struts were bad and they emphatically said: "NO!". There were a few codes but they told me that those were typical comm failure codes when the battery has been disconnected/reconnected. Bottom line, fix the a/c condenser, clean the car, get new tires. Enjoy your life. $125 for services rendered. Done deal.Fast forward to today, the vehicle went for yet another once over but this time from the dealership. Because hey....dealerships are crooks in their own right, but if anything was truly wrong, then they'll not only let you know, but try and fleece you for the repairs. What did the dealership have to say: The a/c condenser is indeed on the fritz. Yes...it needs new tires. Otherwise, no suspension problems (especially rack/pinion and struts). No evap leaks to be hunted down. One code that could be a fuse that needs to be replaced. Total cost to fix everything....less than $2,000.I don't know why there was such a disparity in assessments between Precision Auto Tune and the other two shops, but I do know that I will NEVER go back to utilize their services. EVER.

Outstanding, fast, extremely well put together. The guy who helped me out at the front desk seemed very down to earth and was able to explain everything to me in a civil non concerning way. I really appreciated the honesty this place had to offer. My car was broken down in front of the gas station out in front and they went the extra mile to walk over get it started and move it to their mechanic shop. Best experience I ve had with a place like this in a long time.

Levi goes above and beyond. They take great care of my car. The only place I go! Great prices too.

Called asking for an inspection of a vehicle to be purchased. It's inside a military base, and the man on the phone was a misogynistic, patronizing jackass about it. Rather than just telling me, he wasted my time and called me "dear" and "sweetheart" when asking me if I knew where it was. I only called because it's the closest mechanic listed by my warranty provider. Don't let your daughters or wives go here.

Great and professional service, it appears they actually care for your car (which is hard to find sometimes, even at the dealership). Keep up the great work, we will likely bring both of our cars here.

Their prices are competitive with vendors off base. Don't think that just because its on base you'll get good service/prices. Pay the extra $10-20 and just go off base. Horrible communication from start to finish, didn't bother up-selling while car was IN THE BAY, only told me after the fact of possible add-ons, rude front desk staff. Actual trash. Dont come here.

Before I went shopping yesterday, my wife mentioned that I should check the air pressure in the tires when I bought gas. I admit that I did not take a close look at the tires before starting off. But, at the first stop, I saw that one of the tires was very low, so low that I was concerned about running on the rim if I drove more than one or two blocks. As I was on Ft. Myer, I thought that I could safely get to the base auto repair shop and put enough air in the tire to get home to figure out what was the cause of the nearly flat tire.I have used Precision Tune many times and have gotten air for my tires at the shop on Ft. Myer in the past so I was shocked when I asked the clerk if I could get enough air to get the car home safely and was rebuffed. He was very curt and, in no uncertain terms, told me that I could not. He was adamant that he would not let me use their air nor would they put any in my tire unless it was in their repair bay. If I wanted to wait for an indefinite amount of time, they might be able take my car into the bay and look over the tire to see what needed to be done. He did not tell me how much such "service" would cost or even if it could be done that day. He also told me that I could drive several blocks to a 7 - 11 where I could get air. He showed a total disregard for the fact that his suggestion to drive to the 7 -11 could have ruined the tire. While I can understand Precision Tune not wanting to be the tire air stop for every driver who needs a pound or two of air pressure. However, when a car that is nearly on its rim is brought in needing air to safely drive, I would expect a reasonable policy would be to be helpful and, at least, not suggest driving several blocks when doing so could ruin an easily repairable tire. I would have been happy to pay a reasonable fee to use the air but that was clearly not an option as the clerk simply wanted me to get out of his office. At this point, the clerk does not need to worry about me being in his office any more as I will not be using Precision Tune again.Service: Tires

Called today to schedule a appointment to get my brakes serviced and was told that they couldn t tell me any prices for the service. The manager told me on the phone that he knew how much it would cost to get my brakes changed but it s their policy to not tell anyone their prices until they come to the store. This is about the dumbest way to do business I have ever heard in my life. Nobody expects a exact price over the phone for any service but the fact that they can t tell you if it s 5 bucks or 5000 bucks over the phone is insane.Service: Auto brake repair

Just disappointing. I'd look for other options. After two days of our vehicle waiting for an oil change, I final just left. I expressed prior to taking it there we needed it done before 1300 - Friday (dropped it of Thursday @ 0950). 1130 Friday, it was still just sitting there. Really wish Levi would've kept to his word. Last night there was only 2 ahead of us and 3.5 hours later still just sitting in the parking spot.

My wife got the blower for the a/c changed on her Mazda 5. They quoted for five hours.... ended up being almost two days. They scratched up the dash and cracked up some of the trim. When my wife got her car back, they just said they made a few small scratch es. It was dark out and she couldn't really see. I had to go back and get the the trim placed back in correctly. All that and no discount, not even a sorry.Would not recommend.

Very disappointed. I went there today and the mechanic was very rude. I do not recommend. I didn t have chance to check the price and quality of the work because of the mechanic attitude.

I have all routine service done as the Ft. Myer Precision Tune. This was the second time I have had major work done there (both valve cover gaskets on boxer engine, spark plugs, intake induction service, oil pan gasket) and, once again, they went the extra mile, staying late to finish the job so I would not have to come back the next day. I have always found them to be courteous and helpful with competitive pricing and willing to stand behind their work. I would definitely recommend them.

Went in and made and appointment for a week out. It was the very first slot of the day, and I was told it would only take 2 hours. Now, I figured they probably go over but not by 2 hours. Now, after I dropped off the car and they called saying how long it would take, what they failed to mention was that they did not have all the parts on hand and had to wait for them to arrive. I even said I could come back if they weren t going to be able to complete the job in the time frame they gave, however the owner assured they d complete the job. The parts did not arrive until 3hrs after my appointment time. I understand stuff happens, and some things can t be helped. However, this situation was 100% avoidable. They could have ordered the parts when I booked the appointment, or he could ve just been upfront about not having the necessary parts, after I expressed that if I needed to come back it wouldn t be a problem and we could just set either another time for that day or one in the future. I don t know if it s all for the sake of profit, but Fort Meyers leadership needs to do a better job vetting the businesses and their owners that are allowed to operate on base.

After reading other reviews I m baffled. Maybe it s a change in management or personnel but I had an awesome experience. Levi is the best store manager I ve worked with. I sat in the waiting room to wait and watched him repeatedly deal with one customer after another, in person and on the phone simultaneously. Customer service is clearly his priority. He went above and beyond to get a tire company to honor a warranty. Calm, professional, and patient. I understand everybody has different experiences but mine was great and I ll continue to come only to this place. I think some people are too free with one star ratings because they don t get their way. Keep up the good work

They kept my jeep for a week and didn't provide any update when it might be ready, why it was taking so long, or what was wrong with it. When I called to ask for an update the new guy at the desk was exceptionally rude. When they did "fix" it I picked it up and the check engine light came back on before I left the parking lot. I left it with them and they called back in an hour saying it was fixed again. When I picked it up again the check engine light came on again but they had proved that they could not fix it so I'll take my chances with anyone else. They called back the next morning to ask if the check engine light was on because they obviously knew they had done nothing to actually fix it. Essentially I paid over $500 for an oil change and a coolant flush. Also the prices are not competitive. The only redeeming quality is they're conveniently located and the normal front desk guy is very helpful.Service: Auto engine diagnostic

This location doesn't respect people's time and don't care to call if they're going to be later than the expected time the service was to be completed.

The team was amazing at getting my car looked at, provided me with an estimate but never pushed on anything. I ended up doing the oil change and brakes. Only took about an hour and change! The manager was respectful in every way. Will definitely come back. Highly recommended if you're in the Ft. Myer area!

Picked up a 2018 BMW X2 at an online auction. I knew that this was a potential risk, but sometimes you have to just roll the dice. When the car shipped to me it had several locked-in alarms on the dash.1. TPMS tire pressure- Easily fixed myself2. SRS airbag alarms3. Rear brakesMade an appointment with this shop to get things sorted out. I knew immediately they were not trying to push services down my throat, just what should have been performed with this car at 60,000 miles.Original battery was failing so that was recommended to be replaced. It also ended up clearing my SRS alarms too. Funny how some things are more interconnected than we think.Brakes and rotors got done after a thorough inspection. They recommended a higher performing brand than OEM and I can say that they are very, very nice.Lastly, they didn t have all the parts to do the battery swap, oil change (missing the filter) and my cabin filter. But they made some quick calls and got them there within the hour.Levi is on top of things. He s personable and professional. He is willing to discuss the behind the scenes stuff and provide you with logical options.I will be back again soon. This may end up being my go-to spot for car maintenance.

I had a 10am appointment for an oil change but my car was not touched until noon. No one alerted me they were behind schedule. It was hard to imagine why they were so far behind given they just opened at 8, there was only one other customer in the waiting room, who departed shortly after 10, and again, I had an appointment. The service was finally complete at 12:30.I presented a coupon from their website worth a substantial discount. They said they could not accept it if it wasn't printed, even though that was not stated on the coupon. They did not offer to print it for me.They entered incorrect information into Carfax about the mileage on my car (they evidently thought the "trip" gauge was the total mileage on my car) and then recommended my next oil change based on the mileage on the trip.Inconsistent use of masks when interfacing with customers. The main upside is that the pricing is better than the Jiffy Lube type shops off post.

My wife dropped off the vehicle to have a tire repaired after she found a nail in the thread. They sent her a quote for over $560 to replace the serpentine belt in response. After the technician failed to explain why the belt needed replacement (the vehicle has less than 26k miles and dealer serviced the month prior) she declined the unsolicited service. Precision then charged her $40 and said they couldn't fix the tire. I'm not sure why we were charged since they didn't perform any of the requested services and tried to up-sell an unnecessary service. How are these folks allowed to operate on the installation given all of the bad reviews they've received. They seem intent on demonstrating each of the stereotypical traits of a shady mechanic.I appreciate that the owner/manager responds to reviews. However, unless the plan is to refund the $40 charge I'm not interested in working with these folks in the future.

My experience at Precision Tune Auto was nothing short of spectacular. If there is one review you read today, let it be this:After getting an oil/filter change from a local shop, I was told that I had a various list of maintenance that needed to be done, some of which were urgent. As someone who is not highly experienced with automobiles, I went to another local shop for a second opinion. This shop had a completely different set of recommendations, telling me to ignore the previous. This definitely rose a red flag.My third and final stop was at Precision Tune Auto. At this point, I wanted a definitive answer so I could get the repairs over with. Although it was only a couple hours from closing, Levi and his team took my car in for inspection. They physically had me come in to the dock and check out their findings. To everyone's surprise - every procedure that was recommend was not needed, and all parts were functioning perfectly. They showed me exactly why the part was fully functional, gave a timeline for future repairs, and visibly showed why the prior estimates were a ploy for them to generate sales. The dishonest practices of local shops/dealerships is unfortunate, and quite disturbing. I was told I needed to replace parts (upwards of several hundred dollars) that were working perfectly fine, and may have done so if I didn't care to triple check.I left Precision Tune Auto having done no repairs, tires full of air, and the satisfaction of knowing if I have any automobile needs, their team will be professional and upfront.

I arrived to my car following work to discover that I had a flat tire. After changing it out for the mini-spare, I drove home trying to figure out where I can go to get a new tire while in rush hour traffic. I realized Precision Tune Auto Care was not too far out of the way on my way home. I called and talked to Levi Sader, the manager. He said they had closed 10 minutes earlier but he would be there for 20 more minutes before locking up. I arrived 22 minutes later. Levi and his tech were very friendly and very willing to help out, even after closing time. They swapped out the damaged tire and restowed the mini-spare in less than 25 minutes. Levi was incredibly helpful and easy to work with. He did not pressure me to do more services than necessary, nor buy the more expensive replacement. This was outstanding customer service and I thank Levi and his tech for their exceptional patience at the end of their work day.
