Have been here a few times they helped us when we were on vacation they were understanding and even though they were busy they worked on my truck and had us back on the road in 2days we live here now and wouldn't go anywhere else thier prices were reasonable

I m from out of town and I was traveling on business when my cargo van had a very critical brake problem. Mike from Forest Automotive went out of his way to fit me into their schedule as soon as possible and these folks did an outstanding job for me at a very reasonable price. This place has been like an oasis to me in the midst of a wide open desert. Thanks so much to all of you at Forest Automotive! I was highly recommended to this place by O Reilly s up the street and now I highly recommend this mechanic shop to anyone else.Service: Brake service & repair

I've been taking my cars here since 2005, won't go anywhere else. Very trustworthy. They do quality work and won't nickel&dime you or tell you that you need to replace something that doesn't need replacing. Don't expect to get in on short notice, figure about a week in advance to make your appointment.

Called to check schedule for some hopefully faster turnaround time.Was put on hold for 20 minutes then hung up on without talking to anyone. Called back and was able to immediately get through to someone who basically said "Sorry that sucks". Those weren't the exact words but essentially was what was gotten across.They ended up being booked too far out for what I needed which is fine, but the 20 minute neglected hold time wasn't cool AT ALL.

Great comfort with professional work in ensuring your vehicle will be in its best Version of performance. The cost of labor & parts are much more affordable than most mechanic shops. My mother's car was in bad shape when she arrived and left out with a smile on her face. Job well done!

Forest Auto has been great in my experience with them. Recently was diagnosed with a bad alternator. They did a great job of helping me find the most affordable solution to my problem, even after I made them wait half the day for a call back. High quality staff and high quality work. I took a car in for a pre-purchase inspection several months ago. I wasn't originally going to write a review, as I generally don't, but a bad experience at a different auto shop made me realize just how much I value good service.I will start by saying that the prices were a bit high, but you most definitely get what you pay for. I was very impressed by just how thorough everyone was in their inspection. They were very professional and knowledgeable.I can tell that they care very much about doing a good job. I would definitely recommend them.

Been taking my Camry here for a year now. Any problems I have Mike always fine a way to help me out. Relocated to Roanoke and I still faithfully bring my car back for any servicing it may need. I would recommend this place every time.

2006 Land Rover owner here.Maintenance involved the engine fan clutch, and it turns out I had bought the wrong one, and we couldn't order the right one due to shortages. Anyways, they put the old fan clutch back in and I drove back to my home in Forest. Just as I'm pulling in my driveway the engine light goes and I smell radiator fluid, I pop the hood and start to look around, check the reservoir (empty), check the hoses and I notice one of the radiator return hoses is routed incorrectly, which put it in contact with the fan blade. This particular hose is preformed and has a couple of very distinctive tie down points (routing) from the engine to the coolant reservoir.Now mistakes happen, I make them ALL the time, so I tape the hose that was cut and, fill the radiator and go to the auto parts store for some tubing, clamps, and more fluid. Drive back home and do the repairs and notice the the engine shroud is not bolted to the engine. Now mind you, just prior to the fan maintenance I had just spent a bunch of time prefabing the rubber grommets that the shroud sits on when bolted down to the engine....it was nice and tight and didn't rattle. OK, now I'm a little ticked, between the hose AND the shroud. I go back down to discuss this with Mike, he wanders back into the garage and comes back and tells me that the hoses and shroud were that way when I brought it in and there was nothing he could do. Really? It literally took 15 minutes to cut through the hose and drain the radiator, I had been driving the truck for months, it not a full year-- the way it was prior.No apologies, no nothing, and that's on top of me having to always call them for status updates on the maintenance.Services: Steering & suspension repair, General repairs & maintenance

Had an issue with my tires that were put on at their shop. A tire lost some weights that caused a balancing issue. The issue was not the shops fault. Possible defective weights. Once the shop was aware of the situation they got me in and out in 30 minutes on the same day with a rebalance of the tire. All associated employees were respectful and helpful to fix the issue. They even took the time to dig up my alignment sheet from when I originally got serviced.

I am new to the area and my family recommended Forest Automotive. I took my car in for inspection. Really enjoyed being able to schedule an appointment then have them take me in at that time. I happened upon Forest Automotive in 1997 when my 1995 Jeep Wrangler had a catastrophic fuel line failure while I was driving down route 811. Forest Automotive was the closest garage when this happened so I pulled in. This is when I first met Dave George. Over time I have determined that he is one of the most knowledgeable automotive mechanics I ever met. His shop repaired the faulty high pressure fuel line and the price was very reasonable especially taking into account I had a full tank of gas and the fuel tank had to be removed to perform the repair. I found during that first visit that Dave was courteous and explained in infinite detail what maintenance needed to be performed to keep all my vehicles in top running condition. I have been taking my vehicles to Forest Automotive for nearly 20 years and have always been more than satisfied with their level of professionalism and expertise in auto mechanics. As with anything mechanical the unexpected can happen when you start taking things apart and if it did somebody from the shop, usually Dave would call to provide a repair status. If for some reason I was not completely satisfied after a repair the crew at Forest Automotive always took care of it. This didn t happen often but like I said the unexpected can happen when working on old rusty mechanical devices. With a 30 day guarantee on labor and 365 day on parts you can t go wrong with this shop folks. I highly recommend Forest Automotive and I wouldn t take my vehicles anywhere else other than Forest Automotive.

I've had two vehicles serviced at Forest Automotive in the past 3 months. Even though I don't live in Lynchburg or Forest, it proved to be worth the drive. Dave did exactly what was discussed before service with no surprises. If you are looking for an honest service center with fair pricing I highly recommend Forest Automotive.

Great shop. Guys here are extremely knowledgeable and are always willing to share that knowledge. They are also very good at explaining your options and suggesting what is best for you and not what will make them the most money. Started going here when it was close to my house but I now drive quite a ways to go to them any time one of our vehicles needs any sort of service because they are the best.

The best auto mechanics around. Not only do they do a good job on you autos, the also make you feel like you are not being taken. Many times I would go into the shop for something to be cone and they would analyze my specific situation, realize that throwing money after a 170k chevy is throwing money away. They explain all of the options and suggest the one that makes the most since, fix the issue at the best price

I went their for a Oil Change, state inspection and replace a DTRL Socket. They replace the fog light with out consent. They did change the oil. Failed me only my State inspection and quoted me with over 1k in repair. Never replaced the DTRL socket. they seem like nice people. just not somewhere id take my car back to.

If you need your vehicle maintained and/or repaired, this is the shop to go to. The staff and technicians onsite are thorough professionals and will take care of your vehicle and treat you right. Call to get quote on rebuilding rear end for 04 Dodge Ram 1500 Quad cab 4x4. Day was quoted estimate would be $600 to $800 dollars (reasonable). Person gathered a little more info so he could give me a more precise quote. Never called me back, day 2 I called back quote went up to $800 to $1000 dollars needed to know if I had a Chrysler rear end...turns out I have a conventional 9 with 3.92 ratio. 3 day the person called me and quote went from 800-1000 to 1400 to 1600 dollars. Ask why the quote went so high but he did not had a concrete answer for me and suggested I take my business somewhere else. I'm glad I did seems let to me this garage is a rip off. I can rebuild the rear end my self just was pressed for time here lately...but this just re-confirms why I do not take my vehicles to garages....Piss poor customer service and sky high prices!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you have a Tesla they can service it. I needed my tires rotated and in state inspection. Most places you go won't touch a Tesla this place no problem.

Great Service....One of the employees picks my car up on his way in to work and takes and changes the oil and rotates the tires for me and delivers my car back to me at lunch. Got a great deal on tires.

I would have thought I rated this by now. Reliable honest auto repair. They help us avoid spending too much repairing an old van that we need to keep running a few more years.
