Thompson Tire is my go to place in Radford for work on my car. They re fast, affordable, and honest. I never feel like they are trying to sell me services I don t need. The shop manager is great to work with. They take appointments but you can also drop your car off.

Fantastic service! Caught a sidewall leak on our way home/traveling and we were able to hop off the interstate and get to this shop. They took care of us right away to get us safely back on the road! Great people, fast, quality work.

Courteous, polite, friendly, efficient staff. Excellent service. Waiting room is clean and comfortable. Water and coffee provided in waiting area. Overnight Drop off available. Highly recommend.

Unfortunately zero stars isn't an option, rushed here from work to get 2 wiper blades replaced on my rental as they were destroyed and not safe to drive with all the way back to Canada in a storm. Was told by the unfriendly woman at the desk that she didn't have time to deal with it. I offered to install them myself and was told a bunch of b.s about needing authorization etc.Another excuse was they they would have to special order the one wiper which was a standard 14" , but not taking 5 seconds to find out the size. I've taken multiple rentals to shops to have oil changes and wipers replaced and all they need is a VIN from the vehicle and do some paperwork to bill enterprise rentals. I went to Firestone in Blacksburg and they were more than happy to welcome me and replace my wipers. Hopefully no one asks me a shop to recommend because I know who I won't be recommending. Thank god Firestone took care of me it stormed all night long on my 8hr drive home to Canada.

Dropped off my vehicle two weeks ago, and upon entry a man at the counter was rude. The car was overheating, and idling hard. I was told there was nothing wrong besides coolant was low. Charged 180 bucks. A drove the car three days and the same thing happened. Turns out the water pump, and radiator was leaking the fluid. Last run in was an inspection sticker, wouldn t pass because of wipers, no problem I understand your doing your job. The problem I had I got threaten with rejection sticker because I would not pay 72 dollars for wipers and I would buy some and come put them on myself. They will not get any business from me and my family anymore.

Another pleasant trip to Thompson Tire in Radford. Getting road hazard insurance on your new tires is completely worth it! Tore a side wall. On a tire and Theresa ordered me a new one and I just had to take care of installation costs. The techs even managed to find time to change my oil so I did not need to return later in the week to get it done. Don t even mind waiting in the show room. Theresa and other staff are so bubbly and kind that the people waiting end up chatting and enjoying the time.

I had been looking all morning for a tire store and was having some brake issues. Teresa was bright and bubbly and fun, I told her what a typical drive is for me and she recommended some good tires. When I discussed the braking issue she listened, documented and repeated it back to me before sending the paper to the guys in the shop. This was my first time ever with TTD but I will definitely be a returning customer.

Both times I've had something fixed here, I've had the same issue days later. Tried to make an appointment to have them refix an issue they just had me pay$250 to fix and all I was told is ok we got you. No time or date for an appointment, they just hung up on me. Will be going somewhere else from now on.

We had a tire that was almost flat, and we were able to inflate it to drive to Thompson Tire to have it looked at. We arrived at 4pm and were hoping to have it looked at quickly to still get to work at 5 without having to leave it until the next day. Even though it was pouring rain, they were able to get it in and fix the valve stem in 20 minutes. Wow! That really helped us to keep on schedule. Thank you for the great service.

Very quick and efficient. There was an irrate man who walked in while I was waiting on my service and Teresa handled everything very professionally. She even walked me to my car to make sure I was able to avoid theescalating situation outside.

Great experience! Needed a rotation and balance before hauling my camper over 1000 miles on a two week vacation. Forgot to schedule ahead of time but they fit me in and completed the work quicker than expected even though I slept in and missed my appointment by 90 minutes. James was great to work with. Friendly and professional.

Great place, had a ripped tire they replaced while I waited. I was able to continue my trip without any more tire issues. My guess, is I ran over something on the Hi way

I walked out of my apartment to a flat tire at 4PM. I immediately called Thompson Tire to see if they had my tire size available and they said they had plenty and to come in soon. I got there 10-15 minutes later, greeted by Teresa the sweetest and most honest manager. She was straight up with me and gave me amazing customer service. 2 tires replaced in 30-40 minutes, right before closing, and a decent price. They could have told me to come back tomorrow but they took me in and if that s not true customer service, I don t know what is. Been coming here for 8 years, don t plan on going anywhere else!

Very fast service and great people. The sales manager Dan helped with everything from the first day I called and they even asked me to look at the suv to make sure I was satisfied. I highly recommend to bring your vehicle here.

Enjoyed this service 110%! Very friendly people with great timing of their business. I also had the chance to relax with a power nap whilst waiting in their quiet lounge area. Thank you, I ll come again for sure!

Teresa and Josh were so wonderful! I needed 4 new tires quickly- Teresa ordered those for me early in the morning, and by 1:45 they were delivered to their garage! I was there by 2:30 and they installed the tires for me in no time. Excellent customer service! Will definitely be going back! Thank you again!!!

We were driving from Arlington to Nashville & we ended up getting a nail or 2 in our tire on the way. We called another place and they didn t have a tire for our Audi A3 but Thompson Tire Discounters in Radford did !The staff were absolutely amazing and got us in last minute & got us back on the road within an hour.They let us bring our dogs in to stretch out on the floor and hangout too.Great, wonderful & the most friendly people in Virginia.Thank you guys so much!

Great people. They aligned my car when no one else in the county would even physically look at it. Others declined me over the phone but Thompson tire helped me out and did a good job too. They even follow up called me to make sure I was happy.

Would not recommend. Got screwed on a faulty set of Michelin tires that they claim was the front end alignment, after only 4months use and probly less than 500miles. Lady said the insurance I bought wouldn't cover it but she'd try and help me out. Well she didn't. They charged me full boar for 2 more new tires on front. Will not be going back. I originally thought wow what a great place to go.but now I think their shady at best.

this is a revised review. I had left a review Friday the 9th about failing to get my tires rotated. After two members of management contacted me it was determined it was an honest mistake that they were eager to correct which they have. which I appreciate. I will have no issues continuing to give them my future business.

Be aware of high prices. Make sure to discuss pricing before work. At the end they were trying to change me more than when they told me initially. I was thinking about doing my inspection there too but not going back!

The people at Thompson Tire got my car in on short notice, kept me updated on the process of fixing my car, and had my problem fixed the same day I brought my car in. James at the desk was professional, and my mechanic Brandon worked quickly to get my problem fixed in time. Ian, the service manager, kept me updated on what was going on throughout the day. These individuals helped me a lot with their friendly service. Thank you, Thompson Tire team!

Needed an inspection. This location and James (the service advisor who helped us) made the process clear and easy. They offered multiple options including early drop off, waiting or drop off and wait. They were honest about what they could do and when they could do it. I appreciate that in a shop and would definitely consider this location for other service and parts/tires I might need in the future.
