I went to get my inspection done, and was told there was an issue with my front right wheel bearing. They failed my inspection and tried to charge me 400.00 to fix this. I told them "no thanks", and went down the street for a second opinion. They found no issues, and was able to get my inspection sticker with no problems. I had to call the state police to report them. Long story short, do NOT use them for inspections! They will try to get over.

Took my car in for an inspection in 2019, they failed it and said the wheel bearing was going bad and needed replacing so I had them do it. They charged me $600 for a $40 part and about an hour of work. Fast forward to this year, I had some trouble with a cv shaft not fitting to the seal properly. Brought it in and got charged $80 to get it looked at. I opted to fix it myself off their recommendation since I got overcharged so much last time I was there. They drained my transmission and never even refilled it. Just sent it out as is without even telling me. They also impacted the lug nuts so much that I had to stand and bounce on my tire wrench. Keep in mind, this is a Corolla not a pickup truck so they shouldn t be that tight. There was also some random grease all over the cv boot/ tire rim etc. I even checked the boot and there were no tears. I ve never had a positive experience with this shop. Take your car to Tires Plus or anywhere other than here.

I can not say enough great things about this business. Explained and informed me of all repairs needed. Getting harder and harder to find honest repair shops these days. This is one of them .

These guys are truly one of a kind. I used to live in Stafford and recently moved to Bealeton, however; due to their quick turn around time, integrity, and level of quality repairs conducted on 3 of my vehicles, we've been driving almost 40 minutes just to continue using their services. It's very difficult to find an auto shop who are honest with their suggestions. I once dropped my truck off with a list of items that I thought needed to be done, but he came back and explained almost 3 line items off that list that didn't need to have happen or wasn't necessary. He COULD have continued on with that list and charged me even more giving him a much higher return, but he continued to display high levels of integrity. His prices are also very fair. I've bounced prices off of multiple locations and compared them to Express Automotive, and each time they've always been half the cost. This company focuses on maintaining business through loyal/returning customers; and for that, they will always have my business. I was very impressed. Louis (sp?) quoted me a rough price and a rough time estimate for repair. Dropped the car off, they called me minutes later to confirm the problem and the final price (under estimate). Had the part replaced much faster than I expected and no surprises. Very courteous, even did a courtesy check and found low air in tires.

They are awesome. I had to get my VW repaired after hitting something while driving on I-95. The rims were bent and the tires were slashed. Roadside assistance suggested this place and they exceeded my expectations. Great customer service, quality work, and prices that aren't excessive...and it was done within a couple days. I live closer to D.C. but if I ever find myself in need of an auto shop in the Stafford/Prince William County area I know where I'm heading without question.

The owner/mechanic, Lou is the most honest, kind and caring mechanic I have ever taken my 2010 Chrysler Cruiser to. He is the best mechanic in Virginia and I have been to many, honestly. He has repaired my PT Cruiser several times for different mechanical issues and he has always been straightforward and honest about everything. I highly recommend you take your vehicle to him at Express Automotive in Stafford, you won't be disappointed. THE GREATEST!

I have taken three cars here for a variety of issues and the customer service provided has been amazing. They always call you to give you a diagnosis and tell you how much it will cost before any work begins. They are quick and efficient and I won't take my cars anywhere else.

Waiting rooms, pleasant. Customer Service this week unimpressive!!I needed to have an inspection done. Thy failed it for a tire rod. Repair quote was ridiculously high, fortunately I was able to find a very affordable resource.Came back the next afternoon around 4:30 for re-inspection was told because it was after 3:30 he wouldn't even look at it.His excuse was he was shorthanded and had two cars in the bay already. The upsetting part was that he barely gave me eye contact while looking at his computer. Returned this morning the same person didn't even remember me. Hence the "NO EYE" contact. He told me that the wrong side was done, and found something else to add to the list. I managed to keep my cool and took it back to my new resource they treated me like a queen made the correction with no additional charge, and took care of EVERYTHING!I suppose after not receiving the expensive price quote from the day before there was no interest in my business. No worries I won't be recommending his Express Automotive store in Stafford, VA either......$$$ Price gouging will make you lose your reputation and valued customers everytime!

My family has been coming to Lewis since 2015!!!!!! He has reasonable prices you can afford. He is honest! That's what's so important when it comes to the care of your car... AN HONEST MECHANIC!!! THANKS LEWIS for your great years of service to our cars!!!

Been going here for years,... he's very honest and will tell you if it's cheaper somewhere else... for example, my check engine light got my 2 yr old jeep was on... asked him to look at it during my oil change, he said he could fix the issue but it should be covered under my warranty for free through the dealership (which is was). Saved me a few hundred dollars.

I am a frequent customer, especially when I first bought my used car since it did need some tlc, and I do not go anywhere else. I've had electrical work done on my Mazda, have had brand new tires bought and put on, and my fuel system repaired, since my car was leaking gas. Honest place, with great service, I highly recommend them to anyone near the Stafford area.

Service is good, the manager is good at working with you. Often they take longer than the estimate they give but not always. It's very convenient for me so I keep going back. Prices are on par with the area.Service: General repairs & maintenanceService: General repairs & maintenance

Fraud. Failed my inspection here for a loose Tie rod. They wanted 600 to fix it. I took it to 3 other places to get quotes, they all said there was nothing wrong with it. Stay far away from this shady place.

Needle in a hay stack. It's hard to find a trustworthy and knowledgeable automotive repair service anymore but here they are. Oh, and to top it off they are timely and fairly priced as well. It's like something out of the twilight zone.
