Update: 10/24/21.....Another great job by "Tyler", he is very nice and very smart. He installed my new wiper blades fast. He has waited on me many times and he is Top Notch. He would make a very good manager.Thanks again.......Greg. Just got home from The mgr. putting a battery in my car. I think he said his name was Larry. He did a great job and also said I needed the battery terminal protectors so it would not foul up. Good Idea. Mike also helped me when I went in. I have known him for many years. Love this place and get my parts and detailing supplies here. Thanks.Update 10/08/22.....My battery on my wife's 99 Honda van went dead. I got it started and took it in, Tyler who helped me on my Toyota a few years ago was in and he Tyler helped me again. He is TOP Notch and very nice. He gave me a few choices and I took the Diehard Battery. He was quick to put it in, and He Thanked me for choosing this store. I said no problem, I love this store and Mike the Mgr. is also very nice. Go ahead you made My Day!Update: 12/05/23....Had a brake light go out, and I came in and..William...showed me how to put it in. He was really nice and helpful. Plus, I learned how to do it for next. time. As you can tell by my reviews, I love this place!

I was riding my motorcycle from Baltimore to Roanoke, and passed by on the Blue Ridge Parkway. While up in the mountains, my oil plug fell out, and all my oil leaked out. This was 8:30 at night, and the only place open on a Saturday night was this Advance Auto. I explained the situation to Robbie, an employee there, and he helped me look for the right oil plug for my bike. They did not have one, and because it was so late, I could not check any other store.Robbie decided to scour the store to find anything that was threaded the same as the plug I needed. He eventually found an air-conditioner hose coupler that had the right threads. It worked like a charm, I made it all the way to Roanoke and got a real plug the next morning.If not for Robbie and his quick thinking, my bike would have had to spend the night unattended up in the mountains, and I would have missed my hotel reservations.That man is an invaluable asset to your store, and I had to share my praises.

Last night I was helping a friend. After trying to jumpstart the car and being unsuccessful, it was decided that we should have the battery checked. We went to Advance and they tested the battery and said it was fine. They suggested it might be a fuel pump. We went back, the friend's father insisted it was the battery. Back to Advance, they strongly advised against us buying a 250.00 item that we didn't need and would be non returnable. They told us what to do to figure out if it was the fuel pump. It turned out that was the issue! Thank you for being kind, courteous, and steering us correctly!

Came in today for a new battery for my car. We bought the battery online with the pickup in store option. Wife went in since I'm disabled, she was helped quickly, and William installed the new battery no problem. Very kind and efficient!

I went to Advance Auto parts because my battery was acting up. Tyler checked the battery and diagnosed a dead cell. He walked me through the battery options and did a superb job installing the new battery in the minivan. Tyler went above and beyond to ensure everything was done perfectly, including cleaning any corrosion in the battery terminals.Definitely recommend this store, very friendly and knowledgeable people with outstanding customer service.

Advance Auto is a good go-to place for all auto parts that you can replace yourself but might need some help replacing correctly. Yesterday I got a fuse there which did not return my wipers to working, but also got some ideas as to what else could have caused them to fail. When I get a new battery there, they install it. When I need to replace a blinker light, I can borrow the screwdriver with the odd head needed to install said bulb. The people who work there know their auto mechanics. I appreciate that.

Needed to check my car batteries I have one up front and one in the trunk, husband went in to see If they could test it guy started talking about we needed to do this and that the batteries can only be bought at a dealership and so on, but eventually he checked it said they both were fine we didnt like the attitude of the guy so we decided to get a 2nd opinion, well took it to another part store said we needed 2 new batteries, went bought two batteries and fixed the problem! Definitely need to have improvements in certain areas with their employees.

The team at this store are the best out of any from Roanoke to Lynchburg. They have actual hands on rebuild knowledge on many models so there is never any guess work. Friendly and even if there is a wait it is still worth it.

When I arrived I was greeted and told I'd be helped in a few. Shortly afterwards I was assisted. The gentleman was very polite and extremely helpful. I would definitely recommend this store to everyone who needed assistance. Great customer service.

I was in Bedford from Chicago due to a family emergency. I had to have an oil change before driving the 700 miles back home. The place I took my car failed to re-attach the oil cap securely and it fell off, resulting in oil spewing all over, making the engine smoke and leaving the oil uncapped. I called several places in search of a cap and could not find one. This left me in quite a bind and by the time I called Advanced, was feeling helpless and not sure what I was going to do. Alex answered the Bedford store phone and after I explained my predicament, asked if I could make it to the store and he would see what he could do! I wasn t completely sure I had enough oil but took the chance. When I arrived, Alex had a cap (not made for my exact model) but wanted to try and see if it would work. He went outside with me, opened the hood, tried the generic cap and it worked! He even checked the oil to make sure it was at a good level! He then just happened to see the original cap that was lodged in the corner of the engine bed. All turned out well but I have to say I did not see the cap and really had a problem that Alex went above and beyond to help me with this potentially very big unnecessary problem.When asked if I could pay him, but then pizza or coffee or anything, Alex s response was No ma am, but I will take a hug and give you a joke AMAZING.Advanced, you have a SUPER STAR employee in Bedford by the name of Alex!I cannot thank Alex enough for helping me.

Always good service and we both oopsed on a part but they immediately refunded me. I lost a power steering cap and didn't remember exactly the right size.

Well, I don't really like it because if I'm there I'm usually fixing something on my vehicle. They always usually have what I need which is great. The employees ate always very helpful songs friendly.

For cheaper cost on almost everything I 1st Google search few promo codes then place my order online with a valid code & can pick up in store usually within 15-30 min. Or use the delivery option which I did my last purchase & had my order within a hour. Advance has the most $ saved with promos than any other auto part store that I've found. Promo codes can be used on almost everything except few certain brands(usually noted on product description)& I think motor oil & maybe batteries can not be discounted.

We stopped in to get a code read. The clerk was friendly and helpful, although a little socially awkward. (What's shakin'? Isn't the most professional greeting!) However, the biggest issue here is getting in/out in traffic. Very awkward location. Overall, good place to go for help!

Most helpful. Last visit, I thought my battery needed to be replaced. One of the guys working there offered to test the battery to make sure that it was dead. He tested it and found a different problem. He fixed that problem in a few minutes and I left without having to spend a penny.
