When I first took my car there for the mandatory inspections, I asked them to see why my tire pressure light was always going on, and I mentioned that a couple tires seemed to be leaking air. They told me the light wasn't on. When I picked up the car, the light was on, of course. Eventually it was clear the 2 rear tires had slow leaks, as I had to keep pumping them up. I took the car to Smokeys again and told them to check both rear tires because I had to go on a long road trip in a couple days. They checked and fixed 1 tire but not the other. They didn't even check it. They said my tire gauge must be wrong. Any car owner would know if a tire kept going flat, but they said it was fine. I did the road trip and had to fill that tire twice. I took the car somewhere else, and they found a nail in the tire and plugged the hole. So if you go to Smokeys, be ready to assert yourself, because they may treat you condescendingly and dismissively, like they did to me. I'm giving 2 stars because Smokeys seemed to do a good job on a couple other things, but I don't like being treated like I don't even know how to use a tire pressure gauge.

They always have reasonable prices and work efficiently. It s sometimes hard to get an appointment becuase they are popular but they always work to figure it out.

DO NOT USE THIS REPAIR SHOP. One star is generous, and I wish I could give zero. I brought my car in for an emissions test to renew my state registration, and while my vehicle was in their possession, they cracked the control screen on the front. The most astounding part is they wouldn't even take responsibility for their mistake and did absolutely nothing to make this right. They just said "we didn't break it." It was in perfect condition when I brought it in and now it's cracked. Despite being very close to our home, we will never use this shop again. If an auto repair shop is going to cost automobile owners more to bring their car in by breaking things they shouldn't even be touching, they really should not be in business. A $28 fee for an emissions test will now cost me hundreds to have my display fixed. Shame on them.

Friendly service at an affordable rate. Needed a last minute fix and they took me in morning of no problem at all. Fixed the issue and even explained the why behind it. Good, honest, hardworking garage. Give em a try you won t be disappointed! 5/5 Stars would recommend to anyone

I dropped my car off at Smokey's exactly four months ago, and they haven't done any work on the car. They identified the problem within a week and said it needs a new neutral safety switch so I ordered the part and it arrived a couple of days later. Since then I've called and went to the garage multiple times but they still haven't replaced the part. I paid to have the car towed there and don't want to pay for towing again so I have had no choice but to wait. WOULD NOT RECOMMENDService: General repairs & maintenance

I warn everyone to avoid this place. Instead of fixing a your car, they may actually make your car worse. This is not simply my imagination or a theory. I brought in my car which had a suspicious sound from clutch/transmission, but was normally drivable. A mechanic ( slim and 50 ish Caucasian looking guy) intentionally made the symptom worse by trying to operate it rough. The car became disabled after his testing and had to be towed to my home. If there are many 1 star review like this, there is a reason.

They need more people to work in the front. In most places, I have been to call you back when the work is done, but here, you have to call and ask if the car is ready. I just got the inspection done, and the pricing is decent, but the customer service is just okay. They are quick to say that your car will cost a lot to fix and when asked for an estimate, they said they do not have it at the moment.

Visited Smokey's for a pre purchase used car inspection. They were able to take me same-day with three hours notice. Price was very reasonable. Found two faults that would not pass inspection. Was in and out in around an hour. They helped me make my decision on purchasing the vehicle. Many thanks.

I ve been going to Smokey s since 2014. My mother and I first moved to the US and were tired of being taken advantage of at auto shops because we didn t have a man with us. Smokey s has blown our expectations out of the water. They re professional, don t waste your time or money, and fast! They ve always been able to accommodate me when there s a last minute emergency such as a tire patch (done today in less than 20 min) or something more serious like replacing a cracked rotor. As a 26yo woman it s refreshing to have a place so reliable and safe. Thank you!!Services: Tires, General repairs & maintenance

I needed a pre-purchase inspection on a vehicle from a local seller that didn't want me to take it out to my own mechanic 30 minutes away. I called Smokey's about 2 hours before I wanted to drop it off and they were very accommodating and provided a very thorough inspection. I was very satisfied with the level of detail and the mechanic was able to walk em through the notable things on the vehicle. The price was also lower than anticipated. If I lived locally, I would absolutely make Smokey's my mechanic of choice. Thanks!

Thanks so much to all the staff at Smokey's! I got my car's safety/emissions inspection here during the worst time of the month to do so. They have a great drop off system so I just left my car there with instructions and put the key in the deposit box. The next day June 30 they called me mid day and said my car was ready. No need for me to sit in line early in the morning! They get bonus points for doing a good job scraping off my old tag too. Really appreciate that little detail guys.I will see you all next year. ~Sarah

Excellent service and a reasonable price. I had new tires put on my car and it runs much more smoothly. Smokeys has also replaced a battery and dine an oil change in the past. Smokeys is my go-to garage.

This review has been a few weeks in the making. I called Smokey's a few weeks ago about replacing my AC Compressor on my 1978 F-150. After calling around town, they were the only ones who said that they could work on it. Other mechanics said "I won't even go near that." I had them do some other work and they did a great job. When I got the truck back I had some issues with the starter that left me stranded. Not only did they help me troubleshoot, but they also accepted the truck back as soon as I got it to the shop. When I got it back they had two starters waiting. After replacing the starter five times they finally had they old one remanufactured. They went above and beyond to make sure that my truck was fixed up and running again. This service exemplifies what these guys are about. They run an old school shop based on customer service and getting the job done. If the truck weren't leaving the area I wouldn't hesitate to bring it back to them for any service needs. I recommend Smokey's for anyone with an older vehicle. Or for any general repair needs. These guys are awesome.

These guys were super helpful. I came in on a Saturday morning to get my headlight bulb changed and they were fully booked. I asked the man at the front desk to just check to see if he had the bulb in stock that way I wouldn t have to come back twice (once to check the bulb and again to change the bulb). So he checked my bulb and found out they had it in stock. Turns out a person who was supposed to come in was late for their appointment so he fit me in a 10 minute time slot. Now I m good to go and saved tons of money relative to what the dealership would have cost. They were at most a third of the price that the dealership quoted me.

I went to Smokey s for an oil change and routine check-up. I asked specifically for insight on the condition of my brakes and tires. I was told that both were in good condition. A week later, one of my tires went flat and I learned that the reason was that the tread was dangerously low and there was dry rot on all four tires. Not only that, but after the oil change they didn t properly close everything up, resulting in an oil leak. Needless to say, I will never be returning.

Smokey's is great - I take all my cars here for service. they are personable, reasonable and quoted me far lower prices that other places to do the same type of work. fully recommend this locally owned business with moral fiber.

I was referred by a co-worker that loves this place. I don't know if the management of the mechanic have changed, but this place sucks. They don't return calls. The mechanic suggested something be repaired that didn't need repairing. The customer service and the work are horrible... I just want an honest mechanic who isn't always trying to screw me over. These people are not them.... September 2013.So, my struggles with mechanics and repair shops continues. Update on Smokey's Garage. So since October 26 of last year, you may have noticed that I didn't update Smokey's again. Well, that's because the problem wasn't fixed. So instead of complaining about anymore or further pursuing it, I just decided I didn't want to be bothered. Car still vibrates. And they failed my struts for safety even though they weren't unsafe. The car drives worse now than when my struts were supposedly bad. The reason why I'm updating today is because I went to yet another mechanic complaining about the vibration and they told me I had after market struts on my car. Well, when I went back to Smokey's in October, they supposedly switched out the aftermarket struts for Toyota. Guess what? I found out today that they didn't do as they said. I believe Mark was the service manager at the time. He totally lied to me. He let my car sit on the lot all day and didn't do anything to it. Meanwhile, I had to take the metro and the public bus system in the heat. This was the second time that I took the car to Smokey's to have them follow up and the second time that they let the car sit there and did nothing to it. They totally insulted me. They had no regard for my time. I was taking graduate classes last summer and had many meetings to attend. Mark (or whomever) totally disrespected my time. The only reason he brought me back in was because the owner insisted he provide me with better service. And he didn't even do what she requested. I understand that Mark is no longer the service manager at Smokey's. But he used to be at Don Beyer (which owns Smokey's). I hope he isn't in either position anymore. He totally lied. And the technician that failed me on an item that shouldn't have been was so wrong. I'm very very disappointed in the dishonesty of the service manager and technician at Smokey's. And beware because they might be at Don Beyer too. June, 2014.

A very honest mechanic. I've been a loyal customer at this location for about a year, and each time they were able to diagnose the problem with my car and solve it quickly. Also they have a very convenient contactless system of dropoff/pickup of the vehicle.

My car showed a low engine coolant light. I went in to ask for the appropriate color of the coolant to purchase as the color of the coolant in my car (yellow) was different from the prescribed blue color in the manual. They informed me that yellow is a universal coolant and topped it off for free. Thanks a lot!

I find the team at Smokey's very reliable and honest to work with. They do the work that is needed and don't overcharge or try to find other things wrong that need to be repaired. I've been using them for all my routine maintenance for over 6 years.

So i took my car to this shop two weeks ago for an oil change' they charged me over $ 80.00 and said that the oil had been changed. To my surprice the next day my light came back and on so i checked if the oil was good and to my surprise' the car had bearly any oil' all they did was reset the light and charged me the money. I had to take my car to another shop to confirm my suspicions' they never changed the oil and almost destroyed my engine. Dont use this cheats' they scam people and when i confronted them they denied what they did' i even took photos of the low oil gauge'.. i don't recommend them at all...

We ve been customers of Smokey s for a long time. They ve always treated us fairly no unnecessary charges or other BS. Just explaining what needs to be fixed and charging a fair price for it.

Went for inspection. The person got my car dirty and complained the whole time. Not the owners fault but that worker probably shouldn't work there.

They really do offer professional services at a very reasonable cost. Above all, I found Smokeys staff to be very honest and trustworthy. They really won't charge you for unnecessary items as other mechanics do.Thumbs up!

I wish I could agree with the rest of the reviews. I know the company recently changed hands and I got a horrible service. They held on to my car for 5 weeks. The fixed 1 of the 3 issues. I even bought the parts they needed and dropped them off so I could get my automobile back. I would not recommend.

I had some battery / electric problems I tried to troubleshoot myself. After a quick conversation the owner asked a tech to run out to the parking lot to look over a few things. He found a loose connection and it turned out to have fixed the problem. No charge, even after I asked what I owed him. Cool thing to do.
