I have an 1986 Alfa Quad purchased new from Rosanova Alfa (Bladensburg, MD). When that company folded I used a few local shops to perform repairs that I couldn't do myself. Upon recommendation from another Alfa owner I tried London Auto about 15 years ago and have not switched repair shops again. Their expertise and level of service is simply outstanding and unmatched in any of the other repair shops that I've used. I've never been disappointed with the quality of the repairs or the charges for their services.

Having a good relationship with a team with great mechanical skills and intuition is really important when operating an older English auto. London Auto has helped me keep my Morgan running and driving safely and I recommend them!

London performed routine service on my Jaguar F Type quickly and for a very good price. They were friendly and knowledgable and it s a fun place to visit just to check out the cool cars on site. They also investigated my check engine light twice and reset it. Great place and staff!Services: Auto engine diagnostic, Auto maintenanceServices: Auto engine diagnostic, Auto maintenance

I have a 71 Midget that had a number of problems, all of which I thought would be hard or at least very expensive to solve - leaking fuel tank, mushy brakes, horn didn't work, etc. And I wanted the wheels and tires replaced. Was easy to schedule an appointment and I was amazed at their quick diagnosis and correction for every problem and they did a stunning job on the new wheels and tires (gave me great advice on what to get as replacements for the junk that was on the car). And the cost was very reasonable. I am VERY pleased with the car now. Drove it for over an hour last evening (used a whole gallon and half of gas!) and everything works great w/ NO leaking gas tank. Really friendly and engaging folks who obviously know their stuff. Plan to use them regularly in the future. You can tell by the number of various antique (are fairly rare) cars parked there that they are in high demand.Services: Electrical repair, Tires, Auto engine diagnostic, Vehicle Inspection, Wheel alignment, Brakes, Auto maintenance

Claudio and the rest of the team there are my go to for keeping my old bmw 30 running. Pricey, but they work on classic cars that oftentimes need fabrication to fix.

Owner and employees are very courteous, and friendly. transparency was very noticed, and customer is shown the problems and later verified the fixes. I felt very comfortable with London Auto even thought it was my first visit. I trust this shop and it will be the family maintenance facility for all the work that might be needed in the future.Service: Steering & suspension repair

London Auto has a fantastic reputation and many great ratings, so I wanted to bring my problematic XK8 to their shop, primarily for some shifter repairs and multiple engine trouble codes.First, the good news, at the end of it all, they did a good job of addressing my primary problem, made a very good repair and diagnosis to the shifter, and diagnosed and fixed most of the trouble codes with a new battery, so I was happy about that.Unfortunately, I was very disappointed by my overall experience. The shop had the car for over 5 weeks. Not once during the entire time did I receive any communication from the shop, unless I initiated it via email or a phone call. Each week, I had to call the shop to ask for some updates; progress was extremely slow. This, after I provided a well-written printed-out document with my contact info and a detailed explanation of my issues with the car and a list of tasks I'd like to have tackled. My list was promptly ignored and my cell phone number was incorrectly written down in their files. Of course, they had my correct work number, which they did not employ after many times of them telling me "we've been trying to get a hold of you," after they call that exact work number after I send them emails about how come they don't ever contact me, and the number works just fine. Although they eventually tackled the primary issues with the car, it was after me calling them each week trying to get some type of progress report and trying to get them to actually work on the car. Later in the process, they were highly distracted by trying to fix a more minor issue, while ignoring one of the primary shifter issues, which was the main reason the car was in the shop. The other, more minor tasks I had written on the form were ignored and never even brought up by the shop. I didn't bring them up later, because I knew it would take another 5 weeks at the rate they were going. When I picked the car up, I found that the third brake light cover was unattached from the base, the driver's side door panel was loose and had a few broken clips, and the emergency triangle kit that is trunk-lid mounted had come off of the trunk lid, because they slammed the trunk lid too hard. In addition, a broken piece of this kit (it was already broken) found its way into the wheel stowage well, which could only mean they had this well open and saw this come off, but made no attempt to collect the broken piece, nor try to re-install the kit on the trunk lid. The rest of the kit was on the trunk floor, on top of the closed stowage panel. In addition, I had removed the console for easy access to the shifter for the shop to work on. Although I did not specifically mention to put the console back together, since I just assumed they would re-install it, it was just left off. You would think they would put this back together or ask, "would you like your console put back on?" before I took delivery. Most disappointingly, the day after I originally wrote this, I noticed a few very large stone chips in the front of the car that were not there when I dropped it off over a month earlier. It looks like they must have test driven the car on a gravel road. I changed my rating to 1-star because of this. This is significant damage to the paint.I understand things can happen, break, go loose, but there is no excuse for the condition I found my car upon pick-up, regardless. You would think they would at least mention the broken door panel, brake light housing, console, and triangle kit, but they just ignored all of these items and delivered the car to me with these things in various states of disrepair, which shows to me a lack of attention to detail and a complete indifference about general care of my care while it was in their possession, minus the repairs that were made. Where did they drive this car that they picked up these large stone chips and caused significant damage to the paint? I am completely disappointed by my experience; I would not recommend this shop if this is how they treat their customers' cars.Service: General repairs & maintenance

I wish I could give 5 stars, but their super high prices prevent that. However, I keep coming back because they know what they are doing! So it's worth the expense. Pete at the front desk is super nice. Every repair they've ever done to myb1977 MGB has been perfect and without issue. Further you can trust them!

max stars for Nick and the lads at London.I bougt my '67 Big Healy new in '67 from Manhattan Motors in DC.I was astounded to find that Nick worked at Manhattan way back then and likely did the pre delivery service on my very vehicle.Healy Surgeons was my go-to expert for many years, and when Bruce retired ,I wondered If I could ever find a replacement. The Healy club recommended London, and they had good Yelp credentials, so I called Nick, and liked what heard. The classic car dedication to excellence is alive and well at London.Great service reliable analysis .friedly and helpful employees and reasonable prices. If you love your car,Londonis the place to go.Bernard McMahon

London Auto has always been very good to me. Recently, I experienced a one-car accident resulting in body damage to my car. I stopped by London auto and, as always, they were friendly and they guided me to a solution. I don t know or like cars very much, but that s no problem as the guys at London auto take care of that for me.I bring my car there for all services. They are the best!

I've been a client of London Auto for a number of years, entrusting them with total care of my 1967 Jaguar X-KE. London Auto is in the "best in business" class. Their work is outstanding in all regards--thorough, professional, technically competent and conscientious. The entire team is superb. My only regret is that I did not find them earlier! This car is 56 years old; finding reliable and capable technicians who have the expertise needed to make repairs on such vehicles can be a challenge. If you have a "classic" or any car that is important to you, I strongly recommend that you take it to London Auto. You will NOT be disappointed.Services: Carburetor cleaning, Auto battery replacement, Steering & suspension repair, Electrical, Auto engine tuning, Wiper blade installation, Auto maintenance

London Auto has my complete trust. I used them for many years, recommended by fellow Jaguar owners in my car club, Nation's Capital Jaguar Owners Club (NCJOC).I appreciate the ride to the Mosaic District and prompt phone call when my car is ready. We're very lucky to have Nick, the owner, and his shop in Northern Virginia.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Oil changeServices: General repairs & maintenance, Oil change

Had them take a look at my 91 Cappuccino since it was too small for most shops' alignment racks. Not only could they take it, they corrected the comically bad front end alignment and the car tracks better than ever. You're gonna pay a little for a specialty shop but if you've got an older or unusual car they'll get you sorted.Service: Steering & suspension repairService: Steering & suspension repair

It was such a pleasure working with the crew at London Auto Service. Nick kept me posted and came up with solutions that were practical and fairly priced. My Lancia was leaking gas from the tank and Nick tracked down a replacement at a very reasonable price. I really felt he was looking out for me rather than trying to turn a profit. If you are a fan of classic Italian and British cars, the shop is worth a visit just for fun. The lot is full of wonderful period pieces in various states of repair.Claudio worked on my car. Like me, he has relatives from Italy specifically Calabria. His passion for the cars is obvious. Much like an Italian chef, he puts his heart and emotion into his work, and he really cares. It s very hard to find a shop that is knowledgeable, a joy to work with and very reasonably priced. These guys deliver all three in spades. I can t recommend them highly enough!
