I am very happy with Cody and the help he provided me with getting my van in top shape. I had just bought a used van with no tags and he patiently and kindly figured out towing for me, worked on it despite its size, and was overall very attentive, straightforward and provided excellent service. I will no doubt go back to Cody and the Skyline team for future checkups and repairs.

Ben Nielsen's Skyline Automotive is a friendly, understanding and professional automotive maintenance shop. They even drove my VW to my house while i was out on a business trip! Truly an organization that goes above and beyond for their customers. They are my first choice for my car maintenance!

Second time getting service here - had a number of things done so had the car picked up rather than wait - really great offering! Went smoothly all the way. They called to report how things went, mentioned a few things it needed, explained thoroughly, gave options and clear pricing, I was comfortable with the discussion, no pressure. Definitely a positive experience, and I wasn't held "hostage" for hours!

Took my car in after my engine light was on. Took it to the dealership first and after almost a week, was told I would have to pay a pretty penny to potentially get it fixed since they did not find the exact problem. Decided to bring it to Skyline for a second opinion and so glad I did. They gave my entire car a look over (within a few hours of dropping it off) and reported back all the issues that were going on in my car...at a fraction of the price! Had my car back and running good as new the next day. They have my business from now on for all car service needs.

my latest service done for my car appears was done in a thorough and complete manner. I live on a fixed income and at first I thought I m going to have to seek out an alternative for this major repair it took me 2-3 days to shop around trying to find a place to repair this specific issue at a reasonable and affordable cost that wouldn t empty my pockets. I did my research and found the needed OEM parts. I want to give a shout out to both Mike(the facility s general manager) and Cody (technician) for all their fairness and costly and laborious efforts in working with me so that I could keep my car repairs centralized into their their garage instead of having work done everywhere. I m very appreciative of the work that Skyline Automotive does in my vehicle. I bought it new in 2015, and has 182k miles on it. I ve taken exceptionally good care of my car and I m hoping I can exceed the 400k mile marker in my ownership of this BMW.Mike and Cody, I truly appreciate every effort you make on my behalf. Thank you. For that, I continue to have my car serviced and repaired at Ben Nielsen s Skyline Automotive in Falls Church, VA.

I took my car in to get the safety registration done and was in and out in 35min and it only cost me $20. The staff was also professional while also having charming personality. I highly recommend if you want a hassle free, and quick experience while paying a very reasonable price.

This place is honest, thorough, caring, and professional. It s the only place I trust for maintenance or if an issue arises! For five years I was terrified to go to a mechanic outside of the small town I grew up in, so I d drive 3 hours home each time I needed car maintenance. In part because I m used to knowing everyone/ having my dad there to help, and partly because of the horror stories I d heard from my friends experiences at other places around here. I ve used this establishment twice in the last year - first, when my starter went bad on my car and then when I needed an inspection and oil change. Both experiences had hiccups (due to the age of my car), but both experiences were made more pleasant because of how candid and kind they are. They ll shoot it to you straight and do everything they can to help you to the best of their ability! I m so thankful to have a much closer, trustworthy option.

I started coming to Ben Nielsen s in 2021. I was initially very happy with their service it seemed they were very thorough, customer focused, and genuine. They explained issues well and took care of my vehicle very well.However my past 4-5 visits had some issues I could not ignore. For one, the issues were not properly addressed and I had to take another day to bring the vehicle back to correct the issue. The reason given to me for why it wasn t done well was because a junior technician worked on it, it was a busy day full of clients, and they forgot to close back up my skid plate. However, on my very next visit for a separate issue, I noticed it wasn t done properly and had to bring my vehicle back again.For two, I noticed a huge up charge in prices and trying to get me to pay for services that were recently already rendered by them. When I questioned why I needed both control arms, their reasoning was that generally both sides are done together. When I then pointed out that just a year prior they only did it for the left side and then asked if the left side is now not right, they said it was an oversight and left side looks fine. Had I not retained my records I m afraid they would ve made me pay for services that were not needed. Moreover, it was clear they didn t even realize their own technical decision-making.For three, I needed to replace a part that had to be ordered. I agreed to the quote for what they ordered, but was told I didn t have to pay till the part actually came and they rendered my services. Once the service was complete and I went to go pay, I was seeing a charge $300 higher than the initial agreement just a few days prior. It was only when I questioned this that they brought the price back down.The initial reasons that I became a regular client attention to detail, good communication, and customer focus seem to be slipping away. Unfortunately I can t shake the feeling of price gouging customers and taking advantage of those who do not know better. I write this review in hopes that they will return to the status quo.

My wife and I have used Skyline Automotive for years for nearly all of our vehicle maintenance. They are always excellent at explaining any issues and have not tried to upsell us at any point. Highly recommend.

As always, a good good service is Sky Automotiv no matter if it s bad news or good news they are honest enough to tell you what is wrong with your car and they fix it properly .Sky Line Automotiv before it was bought by Mr. Ben and will keep being a loyal customer.

I don t leave reviews often enough, but this place is well worth the time it takes to point out their flaws. I took my vehicle in for an inspection and it was failed because the mechanic here said all four tires needed to be replaced. They then tried to charge 2.970.00 for the replacement of the four tires. For comparison, i got the tires and installed them elsewhere for 720.00.The reason Skyline claimed it would be such a high price was because they said each tire would take an hour to install for over 4 hours of labor. To anyone who hasn t done this before, it takes around 45 minutes to swap a tire set. They claimed the cheapest tires they could get were nearly 400 each.Also, i arrived for my scheduled appointment at 8, but their certified mechanic didn t arrive until 9:30. The price gouging with the threat of a failed inspection borders extortion. Avoid this place. Go anywhere else.Services: Tires, Vehicle Inspection

My bf comes here for his car all the time. I went to get new tires and have a battery check. They checked my battery and said it was fine, ready for us to take the car. As soon as we tried to drive it away, the battery zoned out. Cody gave a battery on the house! Awesome place and you can tell everyone here knows their stuff.

I walked in for a safety inspection, arrived at 3:30 pm and was informed due to schedule there were not able to take my car because the closing time was at 4 pm and already had another client. Everything is totally understandable, although the attitude of the front desk guys was nos the best, empty faces, no empathy, no willingness. Just You have your comeback another day I mean, when you have a potential client, you need to put the same attention even though it s not gonna get you a ton of money for a service because when you need it in the future you might consider to use other type or services though that day you just needed a safety inspection.

My experience was great, I called before I went and they assured me they could squeeze me in and my va inspection was completed in about 15 mins. I ve been twice already and will for sure go back when I need to

The 5 star yelp reviews led me to Skyline. They were extremely courteous, helpful in explaining the issues and even texted pictures of my vehicle as the performed a 21 point inspection!!

My boyfriend took his car to Skyline automotive a couple months ago with an evaporated system issue that other shops couldn t figure out. A gentleman named Javier at Skyline was able to explain everything thoroughly and made us feel comfortable about the process and the car is now fixed!All thanks to Javier at Skyline automotive!

I can't speak highly enough of this wonderful establishment. They take care of two of my vintage cars. The best endorsement I can give is this: over the period of a year or so, I had numerous items repaired on my 1971 Plymouth Sport Fury in preparation for a dream-drive to Detroit with my car club. Brakes, steering box, transmission adjustments, ignition... Most recently, new valve cover gaskets (July, 2022). I just returned from this 1,300 mile round-trip drive without a single issue. Not one. Every repair they made held true and solid. Ask yourself this: If they can make my 51 year old car completely trustworthy on a thousand mile road trip, imagine what they can do for yours...? Skyline should be your repair shop of-choice.****(Update: 8/18/23 - a fluke left the above review parked in 'draft' for a year:Everything Skyline fixes stays fixed. Thus, I hadn't had to go back in over a year. While not a daily driver, my '71 Fury is my 'road car' - the one I take out and enjoy most regularly. Finally, there was an electrical problem so I brought it in this week. Within minutes, Greg (...Skyline's vintage specialist) allayed my fears that I had fried the entire electrical system. One bad wire. But while there, I had him address a few more small issues. Been using this auto shop since 2015 and I think they are great. I feel strongly they are honest. When I bring in a concern they will check it out and tell me if nothing needs to be done.
