Do not go anywhere else. Mike is frankly the best and most fair shop in maybe North America. His work is flawless and works with you every step along the way. He installed my 12bolt and entire new suspension front and rear. The car performance has increased 100%!!!! He kept to his price and estimate...no surprises! Thank you Mike!

It's so refreshing to have a vehicle serviced at this location. They have actual mechanics instead of the modern day technicians. They listen to your concerns and then diagnose appropriately. Highly recommend

Oh man where do I start!! I was recommended by a buddy of mine at Ford Koons, I took my 07 Chevy van with a bad transmission. Gary was the first staff I spoke with and he was very thorough over the phone and courteous. I towed my van to Hi Tech Transmission and first thing is first once it arrived there. Mike the Transmission Foreman performed a thorough diagnostic and came back with the proper terminology in why my van was in such bad shape. The price I must say was too high something I wasn t expecting to be however I took the chance to give these great guys the benefit of the doubt. And guys let me tell they did a fantastic job finding the issues and fixing them. Very honest guys and thorough from point A to point B. I highly recommend Hi- Tech Transmission!!!

Hi-Tech Transmissions Save the Day... I needed a transmission for my 2018 Ford Focus hatchback and they took care of my car and all and fix the car so now it runs just like it was brand new. Then make sure to work hard and be thorough in order to get the job done. The car that I use to drive for my source income is better than ever. Hi-Tech transmission save the day...!

This is an establishment of honest people. I live a few doors down from these folks. They had a guy walk over to look at my car. He suggested I bleed the fluid before they pulled it over to their lot. That didn't fix it, so THEY moved my car over there. Turns out I need a new clutch. The quote they gave me was reasonable, but my car isn't worth it's weight in spit so I try to do the work on it myself. I insisted twice that they let me pay them for the diagnostics, and they wouldn't let me.Whenever I get around to getting a new car, I'll be happy to give these people the business.

Brought in my dad s old Audi, a six who is no longer with us for transmission issues. Was greeted by Gary at the front office, who was extremely pleasant to speak with and knowledgeable Michael I believe he was one of the office managers also came in and acknowledged my presence and assisted as well. Single-handedly the most pleasant professional best experience I ve ever had from any repair facility and the 40+ years that I ve had cars repaired, highly recommend it company who will give you straightforward honest answer with great quality workmanship. My BMW locked up and had a "transmission malfunction " code. I towed to the dealer for a diagnostic test all they told me was it needed a new transmission with no other explanation or options.A relative referred me to Hi Tech, from the initial call Michael was responsive, and after I advised of issue he explained possible issues. I towed my car and with 1-2 days my car was ready!! Gary provided excellent customer service, one of the technicians actually came out and explained what happened and showed me the part that had cracked.In addition the repair cost was fair and overall my experience with Hi Tech was great!! I absolutely would recommend them.

I took my car with transmission problem there for a second opinion. Gary and his coworkers were very patient and explained the different options I have. When I decided not to replace the failed transmission, they still treated me like a valued customer, although they didn t charge me a dime for the diagnosis.

Definitely get two other estimates if you receive an estimate from Hi-Tech Transmissions. I got my truck repaired and had enough left over to buy some additional performance parts by going with a reputable competitor.

We recently had transmission work done on our minivan after taking it to a dealer. The dealer misdiagnosed the transmission problem as mechanical and suggested replacing it. Hi-Tech correctly diagnosed the transmission problem as electrical and fixed it for a small fraction of the cost. Throughout the process, Gary from Hi-Tech kept us in the loop, explaining how they were diagnosing the problem and recommending next steps. Overall, a great experience we re really glad we took our minivan there.

This place is hands down the best transmission shop in Virginia. We have sent dozens of vehicles here in over the years and received top notch service every time. Mike is probably one of the most mechanically inclined, experienced transmission experts I have ever met. If you need vehicle repairs give this place a shot at your business. You won't be disappointed.

Finally, a shop that is honest, knowledgeable and friendly. You don't often get all three.I highly recommend this shop--should you have any issues with your transmission.They told me everything I needed, gave me recommendations on future fixes and checked their work.Glad to see such a business still exists.

Excellent shop! They diagnosed and solved a difficult problem with my Audi that had been going on for years. Seriously thorough and extremely knowledgeable. When I pulled up to the shop, among the parked cars, they had a 50 s pickup truck, a 90 s Japanese sports car and a new bmw. This tells me they know how to work on EVERYTHING. Do yourself a favor and take your car here.

Gary and his team are awesome and the best mechanics I have ever worked with! When I had to get my transmission replaced, they did a diagnostic due free and were extremely helpful and clear throughout the entire process. They even offer to give me a ride to the metro whenever I drop off my car. Their quotes and services are always honest and fair and they are really respectful and thorough when describing any diagnoses and options for repair. I go to them for everything for my VW Beetle, not just my transmission but also regular repairs and tune ups.Services: Transmission, Auto engine diagnostic, Oil change

We went in with a suspected transmission issue which was diagnosed as fouled spark plugs and bad coils instead- an engine issue. Gary was exceptional in all categories- and beyond fair in pricing for the fix. Even though not a transmission issue they professionally diagnosed the correct issue and offered a better price for the repair. Diagnosis was free to boot. Not many honest shops in NOVA and dealers can charge in the hundreds just to diagnose an issue. These guys are the real deal. Decent people.Service: Transmission

Hi-Tech is an excellent shop. They are upfront, honest, and stand behind their work. You will not get any more stand-up people in the auto business. Gary is wonderful. Here is my example:My old Sienna (over 200k miles) needed a trans rebuild. Hi-Tech performed the work with a 3-year, 36k warranty. Recently, on a road trip there was an issue with my vehicle in North Carolina. I was in a predicament on the side of the road in another state with kids, and Gary worked with me promptly to ensure the car would be taken care of so I can focus on the safety of my family.I spoke to Gary and he arranged with a local shop in NC to accept my vehicle tow and honored his warranty! He kept in touch with me the entire time to let me know what was going on with the car and now I have it back. This place did not say "too bad call me when back in town"... they helped me be safe.For that reason, this shop and Gary is commended and recognized for really wanting to help people, rather than just a money-taking business.Thank you Gary and Hi-Tech. You certainly deserve the highest rating possible.

Took my '14 Silverado in for what I believed to be a transmission related failure. They called me and confirmed the findings. Please be aware that supply chain shortages today does affect their ability to get normal parts delivered in a timely fashion so getting my truck back in a few days was not realistic. Please govern your expectations with turnaround time, it's out of their hands. I got it about a week later, they even uncovered another failure that I was unaware of saving me time and frustration down the line. They fixed this on the house. I will speak their praises for years to come and would without a doubt in my mind recommend them to anyone needing anything mechanically done to their vehicle. I am more than satisfied and everyone there needs a raise. Thanks guys.Service: Transmission

My AT Oil Temp Light went off and I brought my Subaru in to get checked out. I received a call back within just a few hours from Mike, who told me the initial inspection was complimentary and that my car was actually under an extended transmission warranty and that I should take my car to a dealership to get fixed for free. The professionalism and integrity of this business and its management speaks for itself. I'm so thankful to Mike and Gary for their assistance and will be using them in the future.

Robert and Sam are exceptional professionals who are experienced at their craft. They truly care about their work product. The customer experience is the best you will find in Northern Virginia. Not only are they the best in transmission repair, the mechanics are well rounded when it comes to other repairs to your vehicle. After a recent repair, Sam opened the hood of my Explorer and walked me through what he repaired and showed me areas that will need attention in the future. My previous mechanics never bothered to have a discussion beyond the invoice. Given that their rates are very reasonable, my experience with HiTech was an outstanding value.

I don t have enough good things to say about this company. I had practically broken down with my wife and 3 kids in the car as we were traveling from NY. I made my way to their shop (by the grace of God) and they did everything they could to help me get back home (300 miles away), which I did successfully. They gave me a full report to bring back to my dealership. The guy helping me even gave me his cell phone number in case I brake down while I was traveling in case there wears anything he could walk me through over the phone. I made it home safe and sound and I have them to thank. They really came through for me. As s small service business owner myself they have encouraged me to be a better businessman and I am going to strive to treat people the way they treated me. Seldom do I give 5 stars for car repair, this shop deserves it though! Took my Mercedes Roadster, AMG to the shop on Thursday around 2 p.m. with almost not noticeable transmission irregularities, and glad I did! I got a call back a few hours later, explaining the issues, and a firm estimate. The car was promised to be ready by Friday afternoon. To my big surprise it was already done Friday around 10 a.m. Quick thinking and a very precise diagnostic saved me about 4,000 in additional cost. Thanks Robert, you got a new, loyal customer and i will definitely recommend this shop.

Mike and Gary are great to work with and know their craft. IMO Hi-Tech is no question the best Transmission shop in Northern Virginia with a great reputation that proceeds them. . They also service our 4 wheel drive vehicles (diffs, transfer case, and trans) so that we can drive our trucks forever or until the wheels fall off. Great Service! Thanks very much Guys.

If there were 6 stars I would have given them 6. I have a super car I bought new in 2013 and I am very particular of who services it. I've been a car guy all my life, I mean since I was 13, I've had this car around many tracks across the continent, from Bowmanville, Canada down to the F1 track (COTA) in Austin Texas, and I've always wanted everything perfect. Well, I've got 112K on it now and this is the shop I trusted to get it right. You may find a price that is a little bit lower but you won't get the off the chart quality that you will get here. This is my first time meeting Mike, Jim, Gary and Nick, there shop is 50 miles away from me but it's well worth the trip. If you need a rental, Enterprise, $30/day, is within walking distance. They gave me a ride down and when I came to pick up the car bought me lunch. Great, great shop. They do everything not just transmission service.

Mike and his crew are top-notch. I drove all the way up from Stafford because I could trust him after just talking to him on the phone. The knowledge of his team is impressive but more importantly the customer service is exceptional. He checked a transmission for me that was manufactured and installed by somebody else, relayed some of the potential issues to me, and didn't even charge me. He will take care of any transmission needs I have while I am stationed in Northern Virginia, thanks Mike.
