I recently purchased a used vehicle from this dealership and had a terrific experience. From Tim, a sales manager, who was very responsive and confirmed the availability and arranged our appointment with our sales agent, Lonnel Bond. Lonnel is an experienced sales rep, extremely pleasant and transparent. Vehicle was waiting for us and in mint condition. The closing process with Bianca was great as well she made us aware of our options but not pushy at all. I highly recommend this dealership. The Volvos looked amazing as well.

This was my first Volvo experience. From initial contact to finalizing a great deal to final delivery, John/Tim/Miriam/Dexter/Ali the whole team delivered a great deal and a great experience from start to finish.The dealer environment is very pleasant and comfortable; nothing overly luxury or overbearing but just like what the Volvo represents, modern, simplicity and elegance. Updating to 3 stars: both DARCARS Customer Relations and the General Manager reached out to me. The GM explained DARCARS, as the new owner of this dealership, is actively working on addressing the issues I experienced. Historical customer data not properly transferring to their new system was part of the problem, and my review led to a new policy of checking both systems every time. He provided me his cell number and offered to personally coordinate my next visit at a discounted rate to offset the cost of my last visit. I appreciated this follow up and the promise that change was coming, and I think I will take him up on his offer and give them another chance next time I need service.I ve had my 2015 V60 Cross Country serviced here several times in the past 2 years, and my latest experience was so bad it dropped my overall rating from a 4 to a 2. I came in for a scheduled appointment at 7:30am to diagnose and confirm I needed a serpentine belt replacement, as that area started squealing around the time of the 90k service I spent $750 on, and it had become more and more consistent (there was no mention of a worn belt coming out of the 90k service and inspection). Sure enough, they recommended replacing the two accessory drive belts and tensioners. Estimate for parts and labor? $1,250. They also marked a $400 transmission flush service as Urgent (later rescinded to just Suggested ) after they performed that very service less than 1 year ago. I ve been here several hours at this point. After confirming my service warranty won t cover the diagnosis, I call a nearby shop to ask for a second quote over the phone. They say they can do the job for a fraction of that, so I swallow Volvo s $250 diagnosis fee and say I will be leaving after the complimentary car wash. I m told it will take about an hour since they can t start it right away, but I end up waiting over 2 hours - a total of over 7 hours and $250 spent to get a relatively simple diagnosis and a car wash. Now I could accept the cost and bureaucratic inefficiency if two things were present: quality and communication. But these were woefully lacking. I did not receive updates, I had to pry any helpful decision-making information out of the service manager and technician (which it felt like they gave begrudgingly), and I couldn t help but feel swindled by the fact that they were all of a sudden pushing services I d just had done or received no indication about at my last inspection 3 months prior. For those reasons, I don t plan to return here if I can avoid it.

I had a wonderful experience at DARCARS Volvo Fairfax leasing a brand new XC60! Under new management I found everyone to be helpful, efficient, and easy to work with. I appreciate the excellent deal I got with Jon Berns and was very satisfied with my trade in. He was both professional and personable, making the whole process simple and straightforward, with no hassles! I also worked with and appreciated Miriam s kind assistance in learning about the car. She certainly knows her Volvos and what s better is she made sure I did too! I was thrilled with the service and attention I received in getting a fabulous car!! Thank you Jon and Miriam!

Had a great experience buying a certified pre-owned 2021 XC40. I worked with Lonnell Bond and he was helpful but no pressure -- it's always pleasant to deal with someone who enjoys what he does and knows his stuff. And I really appreciated their no-pressure approach. Very happy with my new-to-me car and look forward to working with them the next time I need to buy a car.

Bought my first Volvo XC40 here. Really cannot complain about the price and the shopping experience, especially for people like me who live in New Jersey. Big shout-out to Jon and Brian! The service and help that I received are the best!-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------It has been a month since my purchase. Nothing wrong with the vehicle itself. However, I do want to make some updates on the service provided by this dealership. My temporary plate has expired 3 days ago, and I have told the sales agent and general manager multiple times before it expires. However, at this time, I still have no idea, not a single clue, on when will I receive my tag or extended temp tag...... Now I cannot drive and have to WFH. I understand that DMV usually takes hugh amount of time to process, but the point here is that the dealership is not reachable. I cannot image what whould happen if there are more urgent issues that cannot be addressed without their help......

This location has an extensive selection of Volvos with different color combinations and styles.The sales manager Jon and our salesperson Miriam took the time to understand our needs and preferences. Went for a simple oil change service for my XC60, they just did not bother to put the Engine Cover back on. Only came to know during my next oil change at another service dealer. How will the customers know about any missing parts that are underneath/inside the vehicle? It's been more than 3 weeks I complained about it, the technician said they will call me back and nothing so far. They need to be more careful and at least honor the customer complaints.

I will not service my car here any more, maybe only issues under warranty. My XC90 was leaking water at trunk, repaired once, not successful, this is the second time I sent it to the shop!! Still need to wait rain to find out it s ok or not. Just now I tried bad to beg a shuttle pick me up at 5.5miles range? And of course it was refused by the shop!! Bad customer experience. And I was charge $900+ for 40k service.

You can see the timeline of events below. After having experience with two other Volvo Dealerships since we have owned our C70 I was truly appalled at how things were handled within your Service Department. The lack of communication, engagement, kindness, care and competency is a slight to the Volvo brand and expectations of Volvo owners.I am writing to make you aware of this information and letting it serve as documentation of my concerns and the utter lack of concern the majority of your staff seems to have with customer satisfaction. I will be informing Volvo Corporate of this experience as well as the Better Business Bureau. Of course I will share this on various Social Media platforms and intend to engage with the State Corporation Commission to ensure that ownership is aware of how their business is being operated.I am sincerely grateful that our first experience with your establishment was so bad to ensure that we will never return and will count myself lucky that I live in a place with multiple Volvo dealerships so hopefully I can remain a loyal customer to the brand. Because after our experience today, I would not buy a Volvo if I had to work with your dealership.With the utmost seriousness,Jonathan R. Heesch--Not enough room for the timeline sadly and ultimately we were able to get our money back from the part that was supposedly ordered "and once ordered we can't cancel it and give you your money back." Stopped by to order a few small parts that were not worth shipping. I headed to the back and was greeted by an indifferent employee who just looked at me. I asked him if the parts counter was back there. He said "they're closed". OK then. "What time do they reopen?" "I don't know. We're having some staffing issues."I never imagined I could not walk into a dealer for a brand and not order parts. I'll go elsewhere.

***BEWARE: POOR SERVICE ALERT***Very poor experience at Fairfax Volvo for our S60 service. Started from the moment we entered the place. My bad that I did not read other reviews before considering them for service.Several indicators proved that no service or very poor service was performed on the car.The minute we left the service center, the Washer Fluid indicator started popping up on the screen. Why should it? Washer Fluid is an essential part of the service provided (or better to say, not provided).Second, the TPMS sensor started blinking one our way back home. Really!!! checking tires pressure and washer fluid are the top things to be serviced.When I called back to report these issues, no one picked the call for several days, as if they screened the calls. Could finally get a hold of someone from service only after 2 weeks and they blatantly refused to acknowledge their shortcomings.Will never use their services again.

My review pertains to the horrific "service" provided by Sonny (service advisor), Michael (service director), (Logan Gregory) General Manager, and the technician who worked on my Volvo.To start, I recommend NOT going to Fairfax Volvo for service, and if you select to go, request not to have Sonny as your service advisor. I have never written a bad review about any dealership over the last three decades I have owned a vehicle- that should speak volumes about how horrible my experience was. As another reviewer stated, you will leave the service department with work not done as promised and charged for and incur additional problems while in their possession. Do as you desire, but I am providing you with sound advice based on my and other individuals' experiences (read service reviews).They deserve ZERO stars (unfortunately, a star has to be selected to leave a review).Long story short, I took my vehicle in for wiring issues. I paid for specific services, and they did not do as I was charged. Not only were service items not done, but additional damages were incurred while in their possession. I received my car back with additional problems, and they did not even put things back correctly - screws were missing, and covers were not placed back correctly. They even left a work tool in the engine area. I cannot stress enough that they caused damage to my vehicle and will not take accountability. Instead, Michael spoke to me extremely unprofessionally, stating that he would not be micromanaged when I asked to have a different technician and service advisor. When I said I would follow up with GM and Volvo corporate office, he said he would call my job. I left numerous messages to have the GM call me but have not received a callback. He did not even contact me after putting in a case with the Volvo Corp office. I spent a lot of money to get my vehicle fixed, and instead, I received my vehicle back with more damages and was treated with such a lack of professionalism and disrespect. The severity level of this case warrants reporting with the Better Business Bureau, the DMV dealer Licensing Department, Customer Affairs, civil court action, etc. They are laws in place, ethical and legal, that forbid the Fairfax Volvo employees to cause damages to my vehicle and charge for services they never performed.

From start to finish, our time dealing with the pros at Fairfax Volvo Cars was one superlative experience after another.From Yosam - our brilliant salesperson who who sold us our XC40 B5 Ultimate in March and our XC90 B6 Ultimate now in June (I've never encountered a salesperson with more knowledge about the product and more excitement to see the right vehicle with the right options drive off the lot to the right home - her caring, affable style made the experience absolutely effortless); to Tim the manager who found the right car and generously worked with us on our odd and difficult scheduling to source our cars and package the right financing options; to Ali, the finance manager who expedited the final process and made things both fun and as painless as writing a big check can be - all three of these folks are making it very easy for us to recommend Fairfax Volvo to our friends and family and to return to and return to them when it's time to replace our cars at some point in the future.I simply cannot say enough good about our experience with them.

Probably the worst Volvo dealership around. Leased a vehicle and every step of the way they were not transparent with the pricing. Vehicle ended up coming with a bent rotor that the service department refused to replace. Service director suggested I go to Volvo goodwill for a free repair. Very professional. Fast forward two years it is impossible to schedule a service appointment. No one ever picks up the phone in the service department and the sales department keeps taking my number for no one to ever call back. Great job!

Fairfax Volvo was a great choice when we decided to purchase our XC60. We spent some time going over which car we wanted to upgrade to and decided to check out the XC60. We walked in and were assigned to Alyssa who was absolutely wonderful! She was so helpful, knowledgeable and not at all pushy. She helped us drive both the T5 and the T6 so we could decide which would be better for us and she even helped us locate my specific color combination. Since the car that we wanted was still in transit from Sweden, we had to wait a little bit but it was well worth the wait. The car is amazing! We were even able to easily transfer my old plates to the new car with the help of the sales manager Tim, who was also extremely helpful. Thank you to Fairfax Volvo for giving us one of the best dealership experiences!! We look forward to working with you guys in the future.

Miriam Hassan and Wayne Smith were friendly, attentive and responsive to emails, phone calls and in person questions. Both ensured I was happy with my XC90 and familiar with my new vehicle. Both went above and beyond to ensure a quick and pleasant purchasing experience. Wayne is a authentically caring good person that followed up multiple times after the purchase of my new car. Plus I go a great end of the year deal on a 2020 XC90, the most competitive sales price within 300 miles.

There has been a momentous decline in service since we bought our first car from Fairfax Volvo in 2006. For the second time recently --I tried to call for service and no one answered the phone 2 full days .. calling multiple times throughout each day. I then used their on line system to make an appointment only to have someone call me the day before the appt. to cancel and try and reschedule for two weeks later. Again, this has happened to me previously so I said that's not acceptable and I want to speak to the service manager. I was put on hold for 5 minutes and told he wasn't available, so I said that I expected a call back quickly .. this was a Thursday morning and as of the following Monday morning that I am writing this, I have yet to receive a call. Repeatedly this dealership has gone out of their way to make me feel like my business is not important to them. Since 2006, between myself, husband and our business we have purchased/serviced 6 cars from both Fairfax Volvo and Fairfax Volkswagon so we have witnessed their decline in real time and have many examples of this. We have been very understanding throughout their remodels and restructuring over the years but there are too many options for good customer service in NOVA than to continue to deal with this.Update: almost 12 months later I logged in to review another company and since I was here ... would just like to mention that if you scroll through the other reviews for Fairfax Volvo you will notice a very generic response to all of those reviews ... but no reply to mine. Wonder why no follow up? I even sent an email to the sales manager who sent me a mailer about trading in my car and expressed my disappointment with this dealership and guess what??? He didn't care either ... do your research .. do not trade your car in here, do not buy a car from here ... and most importantly do not go here for service!!!

Very positive experience buying my pre-owned Volvo. After inquiry, I received a quick response. My sales rep knew all the details on the test drive. The deal was fair and the people went out of their way to make it as easy as possible for me.
