I ve just recently had my car service here at craftsman Auto on 4/12/24. I had a pleasure of working with the new service manager Mick. I really like his style of communication as it was transparent and detailed. He made sure to break down and explain all the charges to ensure I got the best prices possible. He was attentive and made sure to provide an excellent client experience for future return. Thank you very much and you continue to be my to go auto shop!

You won t find better service anywhere else. As soon as I called them and told them I needed my tire checked out they had me come over immediately and got to work. I wasn t sure about the price so I went next-door to Mr. tire where I was even more sure about the price. Headed back over to craftsman and said if you can beat this price then let s get started. They were happy to oblige. They paid for a lift to take me home so I didn t have to wait in the office but if you do wait, they have snacks and coffee. It s truly an amazing shop. I appreciated all of their help.

I am new to the area and had to find a new mechanic for my Jeep. And, craftsman auto shop has been amazing with my car needs. Their communication is great, wonderful customer service, and clean lounge facility. My Jeep was down for about week and they provided frequent updates and exceeded expectations. Since my car was in their care would be in their care for an extended period of time, they call a Lyft for me to get home the day I dropped off the vehicle. Thus far, they do great work and I have not had to return my vehicle for inadequate work or recurring issues.I am grateful for this establishment and will continue to do business with them.

I have been using Craftsman for a second opinion when my Prius dealer wanted a lot of money. Thanks to Craftsman I have saved a lot of money. Their method of troubleshooting is better than the dealer only replacing necessary parts. I now use them for all my service including scheduled maintenance. The work is completed on time and prices are reasonable as compared to the dealer. About a month ago I was going on a long trip and discovered a retainer pin on the bottom cover under the engine had broken and the cover was scraping the ground going over bumps. I called Craftsman and explained the issue and they said bring the car over right away. I did and they put up on the rack in five minutes and replaced the pin. There was no charge!! I went on my trip the next day. Now that s great service!!Service: General repairs & maintenance

Thanks for the quick work! My service writer was very knowledgeable and him and the tech gave me a complimentary inspection so I can keep track of what I need to get done. Recommend doing business with them.

Great customer service. I had to order a special run flat tire that was a special order item. Craftsmen was so helpful and professional and ordered the tire for me. It took a day, but they were able to get one and they checked every tire for correct inflation. The guys are so pleasant and easy to work with and as I m an older woman they are very respectful. Work is excellent and I ll be back in the future.

I usually don t leave reviews unless something significant happens.. so let me take a minute to say that the CUSTOMER SERVICE @ Craftsman Auto Fairfax is FANTASTIC! I called them 10min prior to closing to address fixing my tire w/ nail in it - the manager was kind and said come on over. The mechanic fixed it within 15min and took it out around the block to ensure everything worked properly (which I appreciated).. after I heard the manager tell someone else to come over for last minute issue - he then told me no cost, free of charge I was blown away!! This team cares about customer service, I ll definitely be back!

My car had a huge piece hanging underneath it. (I think it was the engine splash shield) I was afraid it will drop off while driving in the highway. Good thing I stopped at this place that Costco suggested me to go to. Matt & Josh took care of it right away despite of them being busy. They were fast and friendly. I also noticed there were coffee, cold & hot water in the awaiting area. That s a plus for me. :)

Craftsman Auto has always earned my trust as they focused on the customers. Although services may be more expensive compared to other places, they are worthwhile with the exceptional customer service. You can always rest assured that they will take good care of you and the car.

How often do people take their time to post something positive vs. negative? Well I have nothing but the best to say about this gem I found in Fairfax. I own a Tesla and not only they speak Tesla but they provide top notch service: Lyft services, paper and online receipts with videos how things were repaired and more. They have a comfy waiting area, clean restrooms, snacks and a keurig machine if you wish to wait. Also the mechanics are extremely friendly. I am thinking it twice before going to a Tesla center moving forward.

Was there probably December or early January. Fairfax police had done a catalytic conventer etching there before. Switched to a newer car & wanted it done on this one too. Matt was the best start to finish & they pointed out something that I wouldn't have seen. It ended up being nothing & since the car was brand new had the dealer check. But better safe than sorry. Thank you to Matt for the great service. You guys have a great waiting area & snacks are always a bonus. Next time I upgrade will check back with you.

Great service! My windshield wiper stopped working on my way into work so I stopped her! I was greeted immediately upon entering and helped as soon as available. He was able to come out and work some magic and fix my windshield wiper in two minutes and gave advice for long term fix if that doesn t stick.

Walked in for an alignment and state inspection and walked out with a $1800 bill.One of the first things the guy behind the desk (not a mechanic) said to me was just so you know the tire rods on those things are notorious for going bad, if we find anything it ll just be a few hours of labor .I knew that very moment exactly what kind of shop this was - sad to say i was right.Before anything else I will say their customer service was great, very friendly, but that s about it for the positive.They will find any and all possible up charges and hide behind the book to justify them. They will drastically over exaggerate the work hours requiredto complete the job.They prey on people who don t know better or don t have the resources / connections to get fair pricing.I was quoted $751 to replace my 2 front brake hoses - $180 in parts and $150 brake flush? We re talking about 6 bolts TOTAL. I was able to do each side in 15 minutes following the book with a set of hand tools and a floor-jack. Can t imagine how it could possibly take a professional mechanic with a lift and power tools an hour on each side.Comes out close to $500 just for the work. Again, we are talking about 6 bolts . but as the representative said it s the book time .Also, $150 to bleed the brakes? Seriously?Another example, my coolant levels were low. Most shops would have topped it off for free, if anything maybe charge for the coolant. These guys tried to charge me $100 to diagnose for a possible leak Just shows the difference between a shop that looks out for their customers and one that preys on them.Looks most of their positive reviews are from little tire patches and oil changes. I can confirm the other negative reviews are legit - they will try to rip you off.I wouldn t recommend this shop to anyone.

Moved to the area about 6 months ago. Have worked with Craftsman on both of our cars, one of which is a 2005 and had some required updates soon after we arrived in Fairfax. Recently, my mass air flow sensor failed. Craftsman had actually just replaced it ~6 months ago with those initial updates. I had my car towed to Craftsman because the engine would die as soon as the accelerator was pressed. They identified the mass airflow sensor they previously installed was faulty and replaced it under warranty for free. Really appreciate this shop standing by their work. Highly recommended.

Had to stop in while driving through town and got a flat tire warning. Guys took me in at the end of the work day and worked it until they found the problem. Staid over half an hour late to get it done. Excellent staff. Nick, Fabian, and Josh will take care of you.

I just wanted to share my recent experience at Craftsman - Fairfax after a tire blowout. These guys are amazing! Not only did they replace the tire quickly, but they also spotted front and rear suspension issues that the dealer had missed. I used to take my Toyota to a local dealer for all maintenance, but not anymore. Craftsman fixed everything promptly, and now my car rides like brand new! I appreciate how they take pictures, show you what's going on, and explain everything without pushy sales tactics. Highly recommend!

I do want to start that everyone I talked to was very nice. But they wanted to charge 900$ for brakes to pass my inspection. Seemed a bit outrageous. They also said my battery was faulty and needed to be replaced. I literally changed it myself the week before in anticipation of passing my safety inspection. I went to Quick Lane instead and had oil changed, brakes replaced, and inspection passed for 690$. So I had to mention that. Once again though, everyone was nice though.Edit: To the reply underneath. I still have the quote you sent. The 690$ at quick lane was with brakes and fluid exchange so ultimately it's not cheaper. If you were just going to replace the brakes then yes it would have been. Still it was ultimately cheaper. I appreciate you trying to reach out but my service has been finished for a month now and I don t have anything else to say on the matter. I know how cheap the brakes are I change them myself usually. I just wanted to not worry about it and pass the inspection. I appreciate your update.

This is my go to car shop in the area as I trust the staff and mechanics at this location. They have always been very professional and upfront with their estimates. They will not perform work if it is not necessary. For example, they told me I did not need an alignment after buying new tires while every other place most likely would have still done the alignment and charged for it. I highly recommend Craftsman Auto Care to all of my friends.

Super quick oil change and routine maintenance. I enjoyed using their online experience after dropping off the car. It showed pictures of everything they suggested and let me approve or decline services. Very transparent shop and I d come back for future visits.

I stopped in today to ask if they could vacuum my car out (as I was a victim of a break-in on my vehicle) they were glad to let me vacuum the glass out of my seat so I could get to my destination to have the car serviced. Their customer service is amazing for going above and beyond for a non-customer! Thanks again Matt for the help!

I called to see what it would cost to have a break light replaced after learning Honda would charge me over 200.00. They said it would take an hour. Craftsman said to bring it in right away and they would take care of it. I got there and within 5 minutes it was fixed and they charged me next to nothing. Service was great! It was a nice change to not feel taken advantage of and overcharged for a simple job. Thank you craftsman! I will be back.

Just had my first experience at Craftsman Auto Care and I m very pleased. Several issues were discovered and documented with quotes provided for each that seemed reasonable. Matt & team are pleasant, respectful, thorough, and transparent. The experience was very good. I decided to try Craftsman to avoid Wiygul, who claims to have great customer service, though my past two appointments at Wiygul were total garbage experiences with on the spot price changes after telling me a price, appointment delays, refusing to service my vehicle, and canceling a follow-up appointment which felt very retaliatory since it had been scheduled weeks prior. Save the trouble and go with Craftsman!

I have gotten state inspections from this place a few years in a row. The team is professional, friendly and honest. I feel comfortable asking questions and don t feel like I am being sold unnecessary stuff which I find to be the case in many different places. The waiting room is comfy, has USB outlets, coffee and snacks. Thank you Jonathan, Andrew and Matt. Appreciate you all!
