Really satisfied with Steve and Brake Masters Mobile Brake Repair and strongly recommend him for your brake needs!I messaged the business on Yelp, and Steve was very responsive from the get-go. We first spoke on a Wednesday, and he was able to come to my office in Fairfax, VA that Friday. He was very communicative and punctual. Once he got there, shortly after seeing my brakes, he advised me that the lug nuts on my tires were over-torqued by the last shop that did my tires. This wasn't his fault, but he was exceptionally patient in helping me resolve the issue so that he could still fix my brakes the same day (he even gave me a ride to the body shop down the road to get my car!). He really went above and beyond. He also could have charged me for the extra time but didn't, which I sincerely appreciated. I also really appreciated how he explained everything along the way.Overall, I strongly recommend Steve and his services. His rates are very reasonable, especially for the quality of his work and premium materials. I don't anticipate having an issues with my brakes in the future, but if I do I will definitely be a repeat customer and will also recommend him to others.Service: Brakes

Steve was very kind and helpful explaining issues with brakes even before he started a replacement of my brake pads, rotors and caliper. He has good communication skills and guides you through the whole process and let's you know the status of waiting on parts. Once he got the parts needed he was able to complete the replacement at my home in the parking lot in under 2 hours and sent me pictures. He knows what he's doing and uses quality parts. Will definitely consider him for more brake jobs.

I found Steve on yelp after having received an estimate from a dealership which I felt was very unreasonable. From the moment we spoke I felt very good about having him service my vehicle. He explained the environment process and why I probably got the estimate that I did from the dealership. He was able to work us in the very next day and replace rotors and pads for all four brakes in my driveway. I could not believe how convenient it was and the parts that he used were of the same quality as the manufacturer. Not only that he was kind enough to share advice on other aspects of my vehicle as well as giving my teenage son some guidance on how to care and monitor performance for his own vehicle. Steve is not only a thorough and experienced professional but just a delightful person with which to visit. I felt very good about giving my business to him instead of the big dealership. He is also a very long time resident of Fairfax and runs a fantastic small business. I highly recommend him to anyone who needs their brakes serviced.Service: Brakes

Excellent experience from start to finish! Steve replied to my online request within minutes and was able to assess the situation right away. He came out the next day and in less than 24 hours, I was all set with new brakes. Steve's really knowledgeable and explained all the work in detail, and even threw in some expert advice on other maintenance issues. If you need your brake pads and/or rotors replaced call Brake Masters. Steve is the owner and he comes and does the job himself. He uses quality parts and you really get a great deal. You can tell he has lots of experience. He came on time and quickly changed my pads and rotors. I found Brake Masters while searching for repair shops to get quotes for front and rear brakes as well as rotors. I happened to find Brake Masters on Google and was intrigued right away. I never heard of a mobile brake service before! When I started reading all the great reviews, I knew I had to call and get more information.I called on a Saturday morning (2 weeks ago) and spoke with Steve, he is the owner of Brake Masters. Not only was Steve extremely nice, he was very professional and knowledgeable. He was able to explain to me the difference about the parts he uses compared to other shops in the area. BTW, he uses OEM parts! He also explained why my rotors would need to be replaced. He took my information and on the phone was able to give me a quote. Let me say I was VERY surprised and happy with the quote. The dealership (I have an 2010 Honda Accord Coupe) wanted almost $1,000!! Then other shops were still very expensive. Steve's quote was affordable compared to the other quotes I received. Not only that, he was able to come to my house the same day I called. :) Once he arrived and I moved the car to a better spot for him, he had put on the new brakes (front and back) and rotors in 30 minutes!!! I was amazed.Steve is very knowledgeable and friendly. I felt very comfortable with him on the phone and in person. He has GREAT customer service and just for that, I would suggest you give him a call. It is hard to find people (especially in the car repair business) who are trustworthy, can explain things in laymen terms, and offer great customer service. I highly recommend Steve at Brake Master's Mobile Service. Honest, pleasant, and fair pricing. I was in a crunch for time, Steve came to the house and fixed my brakes. Steve explained the issues in honest lay terms, and performed the repairs quickly. I can not say enough about my experience. Steve @ Brake Master's Mobile Service is a far better option than taking your car to a garage. Great response time, and you do not have to leave home! Update 05.31.18 - Steve at Brake Masters has been doing my brakes for years and his level of service and commitment continues to be very high. He s got excellent customer service, his workmanship and knowledge is the best I ve experienced. His mobile service is very convenient and saves me a ton of time from not having to take my car to a shop. Best service I've received in my life - hands down. I drive 50+ miles a day for rotations as a PA student, and one day I realized my brakes were absolutely terrible (I know nothing about cars, so I didn't realize it earlier). I called Steve on a Thursday afternoon, and he had an appointment for me the next day. Since he's in Fairfax, I actually drove there with my car and met with Steve behind a shopping center. He replaced all 4 of my rotors and break pads within 45 minutes, and I was on my way. He even drilled some small holes in my headlights because there was water buildup, which was causing my lights to burn out quickly (I've been through 4 sets of headlights in 1 months). He charged a ridiculously good price as well (my friend tried to get just his back 2 rotors fixed and was charged the same price I was for all 4). I cannot recommend Steve enough. Extremely satisfactory! Will use him for all my future issues, 100%. Thank you so much!

Called Steve at Brake Masters after I experienced an issue with my brakes during morning rush hour commute. Not only did Steve fit me in same day, he also made sure to do a thorough job replacing my brakes and walked me through his work every step of the way. The service was honest, efficient, painless, and very fairly priced. The customer service is top-notch; I'd recommend Brake Masters to anyone in the area.

Brake Masters is by far the best brake replacement experience I have every had. In the past, I had to take the word of those other service shop's of what I did and did not need -- which usually resulted in overpriced, poor quality parts, and waiting 4-hours for a heavy bill. Not with Steve from Brake Masters! Not only did he install quality parts on both my Explorer's rear brakes, but it completed the entire replacement and install in less than 45-minutes. Steve would have completed it sooner, but he has the patience and experience to actually take the time and answer all my silly questions about brakes! No other mechanic has ever tolerated my questions about what they where doing and why. Not Steve! He was more than willing to talk me through what he was doing, but he also pointed out why my old brakes misbehaved the way they had, and how the new parts would work much better. But the best part about the entire experience was the piece-of-mind that when my kids drive my car, it will stop when it is suppose to! Steve is one of the most talented, friendly, and honest mechanics I have ever met, and he now has a customer for life.

Steve at Brake Masters knows exactly what great customer service is, and he delivers it! Called around 11am on a Friday and Steve was at my car by 1:30pm the same day. Quick to give me a quote over the phone and had my front pads and rotors changed in about 30mins (even with an injured hand). Great prices and fantastic customer service...that's what it's all about! I'd highly recommend Brake Masters, the convenience of this mobile service just can't be beat!

I had to replace my brake pads and found great reviews about Steve W/ Brake Masters. We called him and he was prompt to answer all of our questions. Although he is currently on crutches for 1 month, he recommended us to someone he trusts to service our car in the meantime. There are a lot of dishonest service providers out there but Steve certainly leaves you knowing that there is still some quality and legitimate people to do business with. I appreciated all his advice and look forward to bring my car to him when he recovers soon.

Steve from Brake Masters did a phenomenal job on my vehicle. I called him in the evening on Friday and on Saturday morning he was at my home replacing my brakes! In 40 minutes Steve managed to change out my brake pads, rotors, and service my rear drum brakes. You won't get that type of lighting service anywhere! The price he quoted me for the job was also very fair. I would recommend Steve and Brake Masters to anyone hands down!

I just had my appointment with Brake Masters a few hours ago. And I must say they are the best!!I needed replacement brake pads for the front and back tires, plus replacement rotors.Steve (Brake Masters owner) was pleasant and helpful on the phone when I called him. Not domineering nor pushy. I told him about other shops -- even my dealership -- that wanted to replace both front and back rotors. Steve said that in his many years of experience it's rare, if ever, the back rotors on my particular make and model need replacing. Just to verify, he asked if I could take some photos of my tires...no problem by me.Steve gave me a quote based on my make and model and the photos...and the quote I got was indeed the best in the area. Other shops gave the same quoted amount to do just the front brake pads and rotor.Steve was able to come by within a matter of days: made the appointment Wednesday, he was working on my car Friday. Brake Masters comes to your location with a huge van with everything they need, so I met him at my house...SUPER CONVENIENT. Steve was entirely prepared, he had everything he needed; he didn't have to leave and come back because he didn't have the right part, nothing like that at all. He was running a little late (10 min.), but he called well in advance to let me know, so I wasn't surprised or disappointed. He arrived, I gave him the keys to my car, and FORTY-FIVE MINUTES later, I kid you not, he was done. Fantastic, I was back on the road within an hour! Even more, the quoted price Steve gave was the same price I paid in the end, he didn't change anything.A few noteworthy points: Steve didn't talk at me like I was dumb, he didn't speak automotive jargon above my head. He was polite and friendly, not domineering or pushy. He tried to give me as much information so I could make an educated choice on my own. He arrived in clean clothes and his hands were clean, too. His van was clean. Despite the price, I didn't get that "Oh, this is shady!" feeling.Overall, INCREDIBLE customer service and work. I'll definitely call again, and I'm referring all my friends in the area to Brake Masters!! (Thank you so much, Steve!)

Called Steve this morning and was able to set up an appointment early this afternoon. Due to me living in an apartment complex that doesn't allow you to work on your cars, I was able to meet Steve at a location to get the work done. He took about thirty minutes to do the front and back brakes, enough time for me to grab a bite to eat at a local fast food chain. I would highly recommend him and will go to him in the future. Friendly, great customer service, works fast, and very reasonably priced.

If only all service people were as responsive, experienced, and trustworthy as Steve. I called him several months ago to replace my front rotors - he was personable and knowledgable on the phone as well as in person when he came to our home. The kids enjoyed watching him work as he taught them (and me) all about how brakes work. He just squeezed me in same-day when I called to ask about a weird noise that came back and looked into it right away. He was genuinely concerned about my safety and satisfaction - I won't have anyone else work on my breaks ever again - and neither should you.

Steve did an excellent job on my car. His prices are very competitive and very likely less than what one of the big shops will want to charge you. Last November I had the brakes repaired on my 2008 Hyundai Sonata by Brake Masters. From start to finish I was so impressed by this company s service and professional standards. Steve came to my office in Chantilly to replace my vehicle s brake pads that saved me hours of potential wasted time in a service shop. Furthermore, the price was unbelievably reasonable in comparison to another estimate I received from a local service shop who claimed that I needed new rotors in addition to pads. Steve took the time to show me that my rotors were in fact, in good condition, and he assured me that I only needed to replace the pads. Fast-forward several months to today and I am so pleased with how well my brakes perform. I have had no issues since the repair and I m thankful that I didn t waste money on new rotors that I didn t need. Thanks so much to Steve for his honesty and excellent customer service!

Steve is amazing. He really cares about repairing/replacing your brakes no matter what. He is super flexible and will come to your house. When he came to my house, he was on time and was done in only an hour or so. A few months later, I "supposedly" had a brake pin missing that some Good Year mechanic discovered. Afterwards, I called Steve and he said he would meet up with me and check it out to make sure everything was safe. Turns out the pins were not missing, and Good Year was just being shady as usual and diagnosing problems that didn't exist. Steve took the time out of his busy day to check out this issue for me free of charge. I cannot emphasis more how amazing Steve is. Get your brakes done by Steve!!!

Best customer service I have ever experienced. New to the area contacted Steve because I was going out of town with my family and my brakes were terrible.Didnt realize how much it actually cost to get brakes replaced got a couple quotes including one from Steve he said he could be there in a couple hours but I didnt have enough money at the time told him I had to get back with him when I got back in town. Half hour later I received a message saying he wanted my family to be safe on our trip and he would like to at least change my front pads. Met with him then my brakes were so bad he actually had the back pads and offered me a great deal. He really cares about his customers and has pride in his work. I will never use anyone but him. He's fair, affordable and doesn't use cheap parts or cut corners. Steve thanks man you rock made my day better meeting someone like you.

I have had Brakemasters replace brakes and rotors on 3 different vehicles and everytime we have been more than happy. Steve uses OEM parts and takes the time to explain to you what is going on with your car and what you need to keep an eye on. He is honest and upfront with pricing. His pricing is more than fair too. Did i mention the convenience factor of coming to your home too?

Found Brake Masters though a google search about 10 years ago. I had never heard of a mobile brake repair service until then. Steve's come to your home or office mobile concept is pure genius and he executes it so efficiently. The process is painless you just hand him yours keys and in a snap you have new high quality brakes. Couldn t be easier and what a time saver for. Wish all car repair services were this easy. Steve is awesome! Very knowledgeable, tells you exactly what is wrong and what needs to be done. He will work with you in whatever situation you are in. I really appreciate his kindness and how he is willing to work with you. He came to my work when my car simply could not go another mile, my brake pads were all gone and my back rotor was rubbing on straight metal. I can't express enough the level of professionalism. I would definitely recommend Break Masters to anyone. I have called Steve twice for my car and he is very convenient, and will have your brakes done in no time. I had my breaks done on my lunch break!!
