AAA offers a variety of services at the this location including car repairs, insurance, and trip planning. We visited to have passport photos taken so that we could renew our expiring passports with the State Department. We arrived without an appointment and were greeted immediately by a very capable young man (Mason). He took the photos and processed them quickly. We were on our way in about 20 minutes. Also note that AAA members get a significant discount on many services, including passport photos.

Do not take your car here. Actually, don't get a AAA membership at all. It's a total scam. After we paid them $600 to fix our car, we didn't realize until the drive home that they didn't fix it the whole way and were almost in an accident because of their negligence. So we had them tow it back to the shop where it sat for nearly a week while they desperately tried to find an issue that could have caused the problem they just didn't fix. So after all that, we didn't ask for our money back or threaten legal action or demand they reimburse us for the rides we had to pay for while they held our car hostage. All we wanted was for our car back without paying for a ride or to have it towed back as a separate service charge. And we were told by several supervisors that that was reasonable and they would do that. Until someone else called and told us that it wouldn't be covered. We went around like this for days until they finally got it together and agreed to give us our car back. So save yourself the headache and going without your car for a week and just use State Farm roadside assistance to take it literally anywhere else.

Been going to this location approx. 10yrs for tire installations and maintenance.Making appointments is easy, everyone from the call desk to mechanics are a pleasure to deal with.I appreciate the thorough inspection to make sure your vehicle is safe and ready and not just rush to do the job.Very highly recommended!!

The customer service and negligence on the part of the shop were so bad, I canceled my AAA membership. They botched a simple repair, put my family at risk by not testing it, and then took days to fix it.It took no less than 2 days, 5 calls, and 4+ hours talking through various layers of AAA bureaucracy just to get the vehicle towed back to my home without paying extra fees. The systemic, layered failures in customer service and repair work should be a cautionary tale for prospective customers.

Made an appointment with them one month ago to replace a vehicle part. Took a leave from work and got there but was told the part was not ready yet and needed to wait several hours. Common, I made the appointment with you 30 days ahead and yet you still couldn't get the part ready on the day of the scheduled service?

Time in America is precious and the people who work here never think of your time.the let you wait endless no matter the problems or the time you might have.The 2 stars are for the front desk lady"Deborah " that was the only one trying to get my job done with the guys in the garage.People, if your time is limited make sure not to come here, you will be waiting a very long timePs:never back here again

I am a 2 year Premier AAA member and called for help for the first time on Sunday, October 1st at 3:54pm. The ETA for the tow truck was "before 5:05pm" and the tow truck did not arrive until a little after 7pm. I got my car towed from Germantown, MD to the AAA shop in Fairfax closer to where I live and work. On the way there, the tow truck driver was speeding, wrecklessly switching lanes, was on instagram, texting, and smoked. I am a young man who's been in the car with worse drivers than that... so whatever.When I arrived in Fairfax around 8:15pm, I go to the keybox thing to fill out the envelope to leave my key there since the store was closed. I bring my backpack full of piano books with me but then I return to my car because the pen at the keybox was dead. I have a pen in my car so I return to my car and sit there to fill out the rest of the envelope. I then decide to leave my bookbag in the car because I think to myself, "its just the starter that needs fixing. This is a 4 hour job, max. I will get my car early tomorrow long before I have to teach my piano lessons. They said on the phone that my car would be a "priority" I guess because I am a Premier member." So I leave my bag in my car. This bag has at least $300 worth of music in it. Each book except for one was $20-$50. I had 15 books, give or take, in that bag. One book had sentimental value. My very first hymnal was in there with my first teacher's handwriting in it. I left that bag in my car along with a Fire tablet.The next day on October 2nd, I call 3 times: 10:06am, 12:24pm and 2:27pm. AAA opens at 7:30AM, I supposedly have priority and no one calls me. So I call at 10:06 to kindly find out that they will be looking at my car later in the morning. I hear nothing. So I call at 12:24pm. The line rings for a couple minutes and an automated message says press 1 to hold my spot in line and receive a call when someone is available. Couple hours go by and no one calls me back so I call again at 2:27pm and stayed on the line for a while before someone picks up the phone to tell me that they did not look at my car yet. Then at 3:25pm, I get a call from them saying that the problem with my car is the starter (which I already knew was the issue), they wont get around to fixing it until tomorrow, and they wont be able to do a full diagnostic until after they fix the starter.Then today, October 3rd, I called at 1:36pm and waited on the line for 15 minutes before someone picked up. Whoever this person was had an "I dont care" tone to their voice... I was just politely calling to see if my car was being worked on yet. Thankfully it was and later at 4:08pm today I got a call saying the car was ready. The price for the parts and labor was a decent price (according to Google) so I was a happy customer to finally have my car. When I get to my car, I noticed my stuff was rummaged through. My insurance and registration was thrown in the back seat. 16 cent in my coin thing was gone. My tablet was gone. And most importantly, my bookbag with all my books is gone. Finding replacements for all those books will not be easy. I have no idea why someone would take piano books. And if you are reading this and you have my piano books, no hard feelings... can you just return them, please?My one star is because I could have gotten much faster and better service at Jiffy Lube. The one star is also because for the theft. I always read that and sign the thing where car shops state that they are not liable for theft of personal property. But I would like for the whole Google world to know how a Premier AAA member is treated. I really cannot believe that someone stole my music books......

I dropped off my care to change oil and tire rotation but after 2 hours they called and said we can not do this . I lost my whole day and I waste my time and they don t care about it.They took all my information and never done their job.If some scammers will do something for me , they may give my information to scammers Don t use this Car Care Shop . I m so upset , they kicked and wasted my time.I DON T RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE!!!

I used this facility twice over about a 6-month period to remove and repair nails/metal in my tires. Service was outstanding on both occasions. Both times they worked me into their early-morning schedule on short notice despite being booked with existing appointments. Both times they got to my repair immediately and I was out the door within 30 minutes of arrival. I was greeted by name upon arrival very rare these days. Jim (now promoted, I understand - completely warranted) and Khalil were excellent to deal with. I will definitely be returning here when I need new tires. Highly recommended.Service: Tires

Dropped my car off mid-afternoon for an inspection and was told that it wouldn t likely be ready until first thing in the morning. I called back the next day at 11:30 and they had just gotten to my vehicle. Was told I wouldn t pass inspection unless I completed a $400 repair and told me wouldn t take my car out of the bay unless they did the work and was told it would be a couple hours. I called back at 4pm and after AN HOUR ON HOLD, finally got to speak to some one and they told me my car was ready. When I went to pick up, there wasn t anyone at their service desk.The three stars are for the person that rang me up. It didn t seem like it was their primary job there and was able to find some discount coupons to bring the cost down for me.Also, they don t do emissions testing .

Lowering my review since my previous post. Even after submitting my complaint in detail they barely made an effort to make up for their mistakes. Wouldn't recommend coming here for large repairs.We've brought our vehicles here for four years, but won't come back anymore. Finally got my car back after bringing it in for the same issue over the past 3.5 weeks, which they couldn't fix in the end. This is after they gave me the runaround by sending me to a glass shop then a body shop and not following up with me when they said they would. And they left my interior in worse condition, not cleaning up the stains they left on the door and seats. Sad to see how they treat a loyal customer.

I applied for an international driving permit to have both motorcycle and car access overseas. The agent only stamped for the car, not the motorcycle and so I ended up with a $30 ticket in Phuket and now can't rent a motorcycle/scooter there. My license is endorsed for motorcycles and my application had checked off the box for motorcycle and car.

My experience was a good one. They did a good job with my equinox. I went in for an oil change and tire rotation which was only $34 with membership and they did a complete health check and noticed one of my headlights wasn't positioned correctly and fixed it. The dealership in Winchester had just installed it two weeks ago. They also could have saved me hundreds of dollars on new brakes and rotors. The dealership in Front Royal charge me nearly $1,300 after I had just bought the car barely 4 months ago.

The only reason I m giving this place three stars is because I booked an appointment for 8 o clock and my car was not taken back till 915. I purposely schedule an 8 o clock so I can get done early as I had prior commitments that day. I only was there for oil change and a look over for my car since I m going on a long trip soon. This is not the first time this has happened. However the customer service at the front was amazing and this review was not for them because they were great.

We had car troubles on the way home from VA and we called AAA and they directed us 15 mins away to this location. Aaron helped us with our car right away! We got in and out within 2 hours! Great service at a great price!

Update: Since writing this review, I have received a full refund.I went to AAA to get an AC diagnostic and they charged me around $250 despite not being able to properly diagnose the problem. I was told they could not pin-point the issue and therefore I should replace the entire system (compressor and condenser). They did not perform a standard recharge or dye test despite telling me the freon was low. When I spoke to a Honda dealership, I was told the only reason for replacing an entire AC system would be if a swab test showed dust contamination throughout the system. This test was not performed by AAA. I feel scammed by this shop.I did end up getting a proper diagnosis at the dealership who told me the problem was strictly to do with the compressor. AAA was trying to get me to replace my entire system when only the compressor needed to be replaced.In addition, after speaking to a service manager I was told they would work on providing a partial refund and that I should not have been charged the entirety of the diagnosis. They told me they would get back to me later that day or the following day; however, they never got back to me and I had to call in to ask what was happening. Despite previously being told that they would not have charged me the entire cost to not even be able to pin-point the problem, I was now told that there would be no partial refund.

I've shared the experience of those who have written about needlessly long wait times. The problem seems to be that the people who hand out maps cannot help with car care, and so on. Work on my car had been completed for about 30 minutes before I could check out because there was just one person to handle all the car care duties. 45 minutes turned into 105. I'd give the place two stars but for how pleasant everyone there was. So, three. Updated: AAA has a robot that responds to low ratings. It's not a great robot because it wants to know which location made me wait so long. This is not a problem of a single visit; it's a problem that recurs. Fortunately, I go there only for alignments, so it happens at most every year or two. Lowered to two stars for bad robot.

Made an appointment, had my car towed there as requested...they refused to do a diagnostic on the car, stating that it "smelled" like an electrical problem and they don't do electrical problems. I practically begged to have a diagnostic to support what was being said since my car had been there since 930a and it was now after 4pm. Nope, have it towed to the dealer who works in those types of problems. I had to leave the car for 24 hours, get towed to another shop and was told my Starter was burned out...no problem! fixed!!! What a sham! Waited all day for what???

I ordered new tires from TireRack and had them delivered here because I live nearby. I was super happy with everything. Making my appointment was super easy. The employees are very friendly and helpful. Their estimated time was spot on and my car was ready for pick up right when I came back. Turns out my car needs more than just new tires, but they went over everything with me without making me feel pressured to buy anything right then, which was really nice. I will definitely be returning in the future.

I needed help getting our van started at my home. The AAA Roadside Assistance technician came within an hour and started my car. He checked the quality of the battery and it was really old and would not keep a charge. He replaced with a new battery and told me I was entitled to a free battery through AAA each year under my membership plan. That made my day! He was very nice and extremely pleasant in carrying out his repair work. Thank you for solving my car problem the same day with such great service.

For the first time using AAA car care my experience was good. After question some of the work done and the suggestions given, I was contacted to review and address my complaints. I was provided with very honest and upfront suggestions, and I greatly appreciated Jim (the garage manager) being frank after hearing my situation. Didn't have a great experience today. The front desk people were really pleasant, but my issue was more with the mechanics that did my oil change. The first issue was that they didn't tighten the engine oil drain, which caused oil to leak from the oil pan. Fortunately I noticed this evening before I started driving again and had the tools to tighten it.The second issue, however, makes me question their honesty. They let me know some of the other issues with my car, as every mechanic does after they perform a service, and said both my breaklights were out. I checked both before I left, and had replaced one of the bulbs a month ago, so I knew something was sus. When I got home I opened the trunk to take a look and both had been unplugged. I can't think of any reason why they'd unplug the bulbs to check the break lights other than to get me to ask them to fix an imaginary issue.When a mechanic acts sloppy, I can check to see if they are again and move on. However, any red flags that cause me to question their honesty adds too much risk to continue with that mechanic.

I brought my 87 f150 in for a new clutch. I dealt with Deborah. Deborah is very professional in how she handles herself and I would honestly hire her my own company. It didn t matter how frustrated I was she kept her composure. However, I would never have my vehicle service by a AAA garage again. My clutch went out in November (I believe the 9th) and it was not complete until January 19th. My truck has a insulated floor cover that the tech completely tore apart. My window crank was broken. I had a gun rack behind my bench seat that was broken off. My truck is blue/green and while they were telling me they weren t working on it because I had to use my time and money to order the parts off eBay I would drive by multiple times a week while working and they would have my truck in a work bay then tell me they haven t touched it. When I am paying for them to do a service that is not cheap I shouldn t be responsible for getting parts and paying for them. I charge $150/hr so when I m running around trying to get the part they should have paid me for that time. My usual mechanic found some time to find me the part himself and thought I was joking when I explained that you want customers to find parts themselves. I had other people willing to do the work for half the price I paid but I thought it was better to go to a bigger company....next time I will wait for my mechanic to have time to do the work. Other mechanics I have talked to said that the mechanic there obviously didn t know what he was doing. I was extremely disappointed and will never have work done at a AAA location again. Other than Deborah, I would be embarrassed for that to be my establishment.EDIT: It s been 2 months since they responded and asked me to email management.....still waiting for a response from them....
