This is going to be a story.Main Street Auto & Tire is a very generous and humble auto repair shop, and they are wonderful people. I recommend them fully and am so happy to be writing this review.So I was moving from Florida to New York State. My car was full, with a cargo carrier on the top. I left from Florida at 6AM, stopped for food for an hour on my stop, continued driving, and then stopped for gas. When I turned my car back on, I noticed my battery light was on. So not knowing what to do, I went to the nearest Advanced Auto for them to test my battery. Unfortunately, they were not able to test my actual battery, because of where my battery was located. They were able to tell me that my battery was only giving off 12 volts. For a 12 volt battery, it should have been giving off at least 13.6 to 14.2 or something along those lines. Based on that information, it was most likely a dying alternator.So I drive to Main Street Auto & Tire at 5:17PM on a Tuesday, walk into the shop and tell them my story - of moving to NY and I had a planned stay at a hotel there in Virginia, but the hotel was still 2 hours away. I couldn't complete my drive to the hotel with a failing alternator. I know the situation was hard for them, because I walked in their shop, only 10 minutes to close, and was kind of out of options. They told me that if they could get the part, and the technicians were willing to stay, they would change my alternator.They were able to get the part and the technicians were able to change my alternator. It was such a blessing for them to stay for me. It says a lot about their work ethic if they were willing to stay late to help me - a single female - in a time of need, when they were about to close shop. I was so fortunate to run into such a kind and generous staff, willing to help me out. They were also willing to take a credit card number over the phone, because my wallet had been stolen only a few days before my move, so I was limited on my in-person funds.Thank you so much, Main Street Auto. You were a blessing to me and I really can't thank you enough. I was able to get back to NY in one piece, and I am so beyond thankful.

Clean Customer Lobby and Shop Area. Friendly greeting upon arrival. I am elderly and on a fixed income and they estimated the cost of my services and stayed true to cost. Excellent service & Staff! 5 Star Service.

Great customer service. And attention to details. Marty and his guys will have you in and out in no time. If you need tires and rims.....they got em. If you need subs and an amp ......They got em. If you need audio visual....... they got it. If you need a leveling kit for your truck ..... they got em.Anything dealing with an automobile Guess what???? they got it/can get it. So if your in Franklin or surrounding areas, trust me bypass the local "joke shops" and head on up 58 to Main Street Auto in Emporia and see MartyMattox. And tell him I sent ya.

We had an oil leak while on a trip; there was virtually no oil left in the car! The service guys here were awesome! They took care of us right away, located the problem quickly, and had us back on the road in no time! Can't say enough about this great service center - wonderful personnel and very reasonable prices! Thank you for assisting these stranded travelers!
